So sorry about your fish ! It's hard admitting our mistakes ... especially mine as I am only in saltwater and reefing for a year and a half ! I love your wisdome and enthusiam in your videos ! I have to say I have really enjoyed your gorgonians and my local LFS doesn't carry them so as I am in fort lauderdale I ordered from the gulfcoast ecosystems , thank you for that information , and I mentioned you to them for the contact promoting their business . Have a good week and enjoy your son ,we have 5 kids now youngest is 12 years old !
Sorry about the loss of your wrasse. I lost one 2 months ago and I feel the same way. I ordered the parts for my screen top and look forward to putting that together so I never have to experience this again.
Your mangroves tank is absolutely beautiful all the colors and textures, and as far as that empty space you’re talking about I don’t think that looks bad at all fish need that swim space, but to each his own. I think it is the most balanced and stable tank you’ve ever had in my opinion. I do think though you’re putting that Coraline algae in your aquarium with aptasia is not a wise decision. It is almost an impossibility to get all of it off there’s always stragglers Hiding that you cannot see.
I was wondering what that red xenia was at the beginning of the video?? It's a pink gonipora - may need to get me one of those. It's like a red version of a cespitularia. It's also really cool seeing your tank evolve with mine since I've recently been ordering macros and gorgs from Gulf Coast Ecosystem too. Tip for the sponge: if it starts not looking too good, get some Brightwell SpongExcel - essentially Silica. Sponges need silica and had a Red Finger Sponge from GCE that wasn't doing well until I added it. My orange elephant ear and yellow ball have been pretty happy the past month, too.
I ordered the shrimp hatchery and it’s arriving today! I’m super excited to use it and get a ruby red dragonet! I’ve already added a lot of pods, I just wanna make sure it thrives
Sorry for the loss :( we lost our starry blenny not too long ago from the same fate.... Ironically it was a day before our Mesh top arrived.... Didn't you add nudibranchs in for aptasia? Any sign of them still? I added some and haven't seen much decline in aptasia but we did see one on the glass the other day... hoping they just need to populate to more numbers wonder if that happened here too?
Sorry about Kramer. I've gotta find a way to make a top for my other tank but will be tricky. Moki...I need more Cow Bell!!! More SPS! Hopefully you have at least 300 par where you are placing them. Your pH number no worries at far as killing them. Constant Kalk drip will definitely help and outside air and plants.
Mushrooms do squirt water, i got some in my eye a few months ago (i was wearing safety glasses too) I'm not one for hospitals but the pain was so much that i spent hours in A&E and i'm still suffering from time to time with my eye. Don't skimp out on safety gear, i've just purchased a full face visor.
R.i.p. Kramer , the red high fin fairy wrasse is a lovely red and great personality, the green jade wrasse the same , but by far the prettiest wrasse has to be the 6 line wrasse
Sorry for your loss. Ive had alot of loses over the last few years(also somewhat preventable) and am working on building in redundancies/safety nets so that I don't make the same mistakes twice. I just order the RFG, main reason I waited so long is alot of the reviews I read online people were complaining that the 2 connecting pieces wouldn't fit, was also looking into something to put over my mp10s, what do you have covering yours?
RIP Yellow lightning. Really dig those thick gorgonian! Man, I wish I could have access more easily to macroalgae back here in Canada, one day I will setup one... one day. ps: Guess it's time to lift the radion G4, that mangrove grew nicely. ps2: Are you looking for another tank? Just saying cuz you will lacking of space pretty soon :P
Sorry to hear about Kramer. If you're looking for a new wrasse, I think the melanurus wrasse would look great in your tank. It was my favorite fish in my previous set up. I loved its personality and colors!
Hi mr innaproprpriate reefer, I have a bio cube 16 and it has been running since September recently I added a conch snail that’s about 1 inch but when it poops the poop stays in the sand and rocks and it makes this green algae appear. most of my rocks are covered with this and I don’t know what to do. with the conch I have this weird algae but without it cyano and diatoms take over. Also I only feed once every day with a few pellets or a few pieces of frozen. I would really appreciate your help also do you know any reefing groups or clubs around the Southern California area?
CO2: LOL the plants and outside air would probably have a negligible effect on CO2 room air to tank CO2 levels. Cheap and effective idea would be to perhaps consider increasing surface water turbulence to increase gas exchange. Maybe move one or both wave makers slightly higher up on the tank. Love the videos, living vicariously through you until I can get back to Shanghai.
Man where I live I don't have reefers and group of reefers. I'm a lone wolf. I'm close to Florida and WWC and TSA but other then that local nothing. So I have to buy expensive from stores. Your so lucky
Hey, I can’t wait to have a gorgonian coral soon. By the way, I saw you have a automatic feeder, can you send me the link of the store you bough it from? Thank you.
does anyone know if there are any corals that produce no toxins in the tank . I have mainly an all planted tank but would like to possible add some if that is the case. Just dont want to bother with being extra carefulness. Keeping it very simplistic
Ouch, I had a small hogfish that jumped through a gap the was around the same size as its body. Death is inevitable in the fish keeping hobby, whether it be a snail or a whole colony of coral, it always feels really bad.
Inappropriate reefer is one of the most watch reefers here in the Philippines, specially that the Department of Aquatic and Natural resources do not allow us to have corals in our aquarium, this is the closest we can get.
I have a few different types, all of them except for the Grube’s Gorgonian came from live-plants.com, can check them out for photos/names; would recommend them for your Gorgonian needs !
You should baby proof that sump my friend. Kids can drown in buckets and toilets...no joke. Love your channel but again, baby proof that sump area to keep Leon safe.

Love the happy Banggai's in the mangrove tank!
I'm excited for the new baby channel!

RIP KRAMER! You will be missed😢
It is crazy how much this tank is coming together. it feels like yesterday you just put rock in lol looking good man

Good job for using picante Rock
Melinurus wrasse really cool and colorful
I was wondering what that red xenia was at the beginning of the video?? It's a pink gonipora - may need to get me one of those. It's like a red version of a cespitularia.

Nice..Man the draw is strong for going back to the hobby! Need to find a IM 20!
What coral is that at 11:04 that keeps opening and closing? I love that.
I ordered the shrimp hatchery and it’s arriving today! I’m super excited to use it and get a ruby red dragonet! I’ve already added a lot of pods, I just wanna make sure it thrives
also had a fish loss today. The male from my first pair of clownfish which were my first saltwater fish. RIP Skeeter, swim freely with Kramer
Looks like some dinos in the sand around your zoa garden.

Crazy that we are both in the same facebook group thats so amazing
Mfw I see a half hour video right when I'm about to do maintenance :D
Blue Tang growing so fast!
RIP Kramer. Do you have random flow nozzles on your returns to the dt?
Leopard wrasse are great
When you put the mesh top, dont forget to raise the intensity a few percent since it will block a bit of light. Losses are always sad
and I hear the dark mesh is better than the light mesh
@@rppvt better at what?
@@gabesreef keeping light from bouncing back into the room (sorry I wasn't clear)
@@rppvt interesting. Do you remember where you found that little nugget of information
@@gabesreef I think it was from a BRS video.... but I cannot be certain. It was someone's first-hand experience....
Sorry about Kramer. I've gotta find a way to make a top for my other tank but will be tricky.

Paly Grandis? You got a baby now. Thats a risky piece. Much more beautiful and possibly less dangerous stuff out there.
Mushrooms do squirt water, i got some in my eye a few months ago (i was wearing safety glasses too)

Dude love the videos. Sorry about your buddy Kramer.
R.i.p. Kramer , the red high fin fairy wrasse is a lovely red and great personality, the green jade wrasse the same , but by far the prettiest wrasse has to be the 6 line wrasse

Thanks
How is the vibrant working out for you? I'm using it now for bubble algae also what is the color temp on the radion?
What happened to the middle light of the aqua knight?
I'm thinking about getting into saltwater your yellow elephant ear sponge is cool
Get a yellow corris wrasse. Great hunter
Shout out to Lynn, I got some stuff from her at Reefapalooza and it was better than advertised.
RIP Yellow lightning.
Really dig those thick gorgonian!

Why don’t you slightly tilt the main tank light on the mangrove tank to improve the shaded area 👍
My yellow coris has not jumped. Although it has tried. The mesh top helps a lot.

but wont the plants produce co2 when the lights are off?
Angle the radion a bit so it hits the stuff on the right side of the tank?

How does the regal tang do in your Reef tank, I was told they nip corals
hi, did the yellow sponges survive ?
Dude I need one of those jawbreakers
That’s a nice tank. Who made it??
Mine wasn’t, I lost my powder blue tang :/ sorry about your loss man.
you need to add seaorses
Man where I live I don't have reefers and group of reefers.
I'm a lone wolf.
I'm close to Florida and WWC and TSA but other then that local nothing.
So I have to buy expensive from stores.
Your so lucky
Is it legal to own that many corals?
tuff man I lost three fish from jumping its tuff. I have a lid but they found a tiny hole
Hey, I can’t wait to have a gorgonian coral soon. By the way, I saw you have a automatic feeder, can you send me the link of the store you bough it from? Thank you.

Hey can i get a link to the grow light that u have
Is it just me or does the Vortech sound loud in the video?
How does he check the ph and dkh every couple hours like that? Is that an apex?
12:25 For those wondering, the NPS he is referencing are an Acalycigorgia sp(p).
Get a co2 scrubber reactor
does anyone know if there are any corals that produce no toxins in the tank . I have mainly an all planted tank but would like to possible add some if that is the case. Just dont want to bother with being extra carefulness. Keeping it very simplistic
So sorry about Kramer! 😔
xenia does not like flow, that is why its stringy and not pusling
Put the sponge in the dark corner of your mangrove tank
Liam with a lego in his mouth starting at you 👁👄👁
The way you put emphasis on "p" sounds gonna spread some real corona particles XD
You might have lost the acro because of vibrant
carefull with your gobys. I had the same for 2 days and then it managed to jump through my red sea cover..
RIP Kramer T.T
Ouch, I had a small hogfish that jumped through a gap the was around the same size as its body. Death is inevitable in the fish keeping hobby, whether it be a snail or a whole colony of coral, it always feels really bad.
RIP Kramer, add Leopard wrasse please
vibrant may produce cyano. i think that may be cyanos
Inappropriate reefer is one of the most watch reefers here in the Philippines, specially that the Department of Aquatic and Natural resources do not allow us to have corals in our aquarium, this is the closest we can get.
You need a sand sifting goby for that nasty sand bed bruh
What kind of Gorgonian do you have? I didn't catch the names?
I have a few different types, all of them except for the Grube’s Gorgonian came from live-plants.com, can check them out for photos/names; would recommend them for your Gorgonian needs !
You should baby proof that sump my friend. Kids can drown in buckets and toilets...no joke. Love your channel but again, baby proof that sump area to keep Leon safe.
