THIS! It actually seems like it’s be really yummy… but u gotta cook that bacon. U gotta make that batter fresh. You gotta COOK THOSE EGGS RIGHT. She took a decent recipe and flopped it to kitchen nightmare
i like gordon ramsay because he's always incredibly nice to servers on kitchen nightmares, a show basically dedicated to him screaming at abusive, megalomaniacal capital owners
In the UK version of Kitchen Nightmares, he rarely shouts. I think maybe for American tv, they needed him to be more of a shocking character so they made him into the angry Scot trope but also,.I find that for the most part the people he screams at kind of...deserve it. Especially the arrogant owners who are running their businesses into the ground and who treat their workers like crap.
Probably cuz that recipe had several pounds of butter in it. Im a pastry chef and thats the amount of butter I use to make 20 loaves of bread not one 7yr/o's version of a meatball sub
I will say: Gordon Ramsey did a series recently highlighting the delicacies and varied cooking of people all across the globe, and I really appreciated how respectful and enthusiastic he was to learn from them. IMO he’s only mean to people on his show bc that’s the gimmick
I think it’s partially genuine to be honest. He just demands excellence in his craft. I’m sure outside of working for him he’s probably the nicest Englishmen ever 😂
He used to be a real dick back in the day, but i think he realised in order to have a career on TV he had to lighten up a lot because people used to really dislike him. I think he's changed a lot and has become genuine.
I haven't really watched too much of his shit, except Hell's Kitchen; and, when he's being "mean" on that show, from what I've seen, the recipients really need that treatment. They are flagrantly disregarding basic health/safety things, and people could get sick/die.
it's giving me "middle school kids who would mix every food in their school lunch w their milk and then would get other ppl's food to add on to it for no reason."
I think the thing that makes me the most mad is how much of a waste it is - as nick said he definitely didn't eat any more of the bread monstrosity before throwing it out. An entire loaf of bread, beef, butter and a fuck ton of cheese. All in the bin.
Nick, I gotta say Gordon is actually a really nice guy. He’s only hard on people because they usually mess up food in ways that could actually hurt people(IE: Undercooked food, plastic in food, etc) Outside of his TV character ppl have nothing but nice things to say about him✨
My ex went to culinary arts school and he insisted on doing shit like this all the time. He would be so upset because I wouldn't eat it. He offered to make Mac n Cheese for me and it was Kraft so I thought "sure how could that go wrong". I don't if there's anything in the kitchen he didn't put in it. Why do people have to fuck with mac n cheese?! It's not even being "quirky", it's just people thinking their Dr Seuss imagination will improve things that are good as they are.
