    62 and soc sec, etc, end of yr; was plan to leave US, and travel (revisit) SE Asia, some Europe & Cent / S America, for at least a cpl yrs .. I was "hoping my country would be OK" (but oh well "lol") .. I believe, "many countries," worldwide, will now begin experiencing (many) "dramatic geo-political shifts, realignments and tumult ..I plan to "travel light" keep moving, and have a plan B (and C) .. We're going to witness and experience some wild changes ..

    Good advice again Dan. I’ve made the best of my transition to retirement. I’ve got lifetime flight benefits and already doing research travel. Enjoying the journey so although I won’t retire as young as you did, I’ll be fully prepared when I do. Keep up the good stuff on your channel 😊

    Thank you for the advice Bro! I'm planning on living out of hotels for the first year. Figured this way, I can use the Philippines as a jumping point, but I have chosen it as my future home. The VA Hospital being in Malina is a huge factor for me, though I plan on starting in Cebu. Looking forward to my future adventures. Thank you again for providing useful information.

    I would stick to 3 countries total for a cluster myself. 4 could be "TMI." It could even make the decision harder. For me I would think: 3x 10 days is a calendar month. Maybe skew it 12/9/9 w/12 days in the originally desired country to get an extra taste of that. *I've got to believe that if you visit 3 countries, you'll find at least one that takes your breath away* - especially in SE Asia.

      It would appear, from a cost standpoint, Cambodia is the least expensive place to live.??

    I was just in Czech Republic. It was beautiful. Do a video on smaller Czech and Hungarian cities to retire in. Nice neoclassical swimming pools there.

    Excellent advice. I know people who are planning to move without an exploratory trip first, and think that’s a risky way to go. Even if you have visited in the past as a tourist. Speaking as someone who was a diplomatic dependent and lived overseas for most of my formative years (mostly Latin America and Eastern Europe), I still feel the need to do exploratory trips for the purpose of deciding whether I want to retire overseas, and where. The other man’s grass isn’t always greener, and things change. I so appreciate your boots on the ground approach, and your detailed information. New subscriber here.

    Hi Dan. Nice video. We are most likely on opposite teams in the political world. I can respect that. I was expecting a political lecture, what I received was a well thought out, well expressed, concise tutorial. Safe travels

    I almost skipped and didn't watch because it says it for USA. But turns out nothing specific about US.

    Dan… how often are u
    dyeing your hair!?

    • @loverofsong9830
      @loverofsong9830 Годину тому

      As a hair colorist, I’d say it’s usually every three weeks to a month for men. He’s most likely using a semi permanent color that he can use on the road. With short hair, it’s fairly easy to apply on his own(or with Quang’s help). Because he travels often, I assume it would be difficult to find a new colorist(that knows what they’re doing in matching the exact color) in every place they travel.
