Despite wearing almost only black and dark grey, I like the carhartt more. The few carhartt items I own have fared pretty well over the years.

They both look like very good jackets. I have a carhart for work think its a heavier version than this. And i like dickies products. I should try this jacket out. Thanks Jack!!

I use the unlined version of the dickies for riding my motorcycle in the summer. It’s great for on and off the bike and protection is pretty good along with airflow. It won’t save me on a 70 mph slide, but a low speed slide it will hold up. Luckily I’ve never have had to test it, but I fell good on my mini dirt bike with dickies shorts same material and they saved my legs whatever material they use is super strong and has lasted me twice as long as it’s worth I stopped buying carhartt during covid and I’m glad I did.

I use to own an Eisenhower jacket but I “gave” it to my ole girl I went back to my wrangler denim jackets I love the ease of a zipper but sometimes I wanna vent and the buttons are good for that

Mine was a bit stiff too. I tumbled it in a dryer for a bit with some towels and it loosened up.

They’re calling this the Rugged Flex Fit Detroit. Not sure if they are planning to phase out the older version. It is more of a cool weather jacket. The lining is thin and there’s none in the sleeves. I’d like to have the older version but I can never find it in stock in my size. I do really like this one and wear it a lot.
