To me it's "My First Album" by Peppa Pig. This debut just harrowingly reflects on the rage and desperation of her struggle with quick success in the film industry. Her anxieties about being 7'1 tall are also converted into pure rage. The recording was also outrageous. Allegedly when she looked at the record engineer in the eye for the first time with her head straight, the engineer was so traumatized that they had to find a new one. Masterpiece
People tend to forget the amount of people that Slipknot got into extreme music. They had a ton of death metal influence, especially if you look into what bands most of them were in beforehand. There’s some grind that creeps in as well from Anal Blast. Hell, Get This and Eeyore are straight up grind songs.
Slipknot literally has blast beats and double bass. I never considered them full on nu metal. There's nu metal in there but you have industrial, thrash, death metal elements too. Even some grind shit that you mentioned.
@@diabeticmonkey Most likely. But yeah, the first 2 records especially, they made Death Metal elements like double bass/blast beats, and fast tremolo and grind style riffs (see “Eeyore” or “Get This”) accessible and mainstream. They brought extreme metal to the virgin masses, because whether Metal fans want to admit it or not, no one could top their intensity and live shows back in the S/T or Iowa days.
My take on dystopia is that not only do they create the feeling of misery and hopelessness that you mentioned, but they also give off such a sense of anger not only towards the fact that the world is that way, but that they have to experience the world in that way
What you've said about Dystopia is what I feel about Lingua Ignota. She is one of my favourite artists, and boy if she is able to express misery in such a potent and emotional way. I remember one time listening to "Do you doubt me traitor", and the impact of that song was just so potent and unbearable to me that I couldn't listen to her music for literal months. I really cannot think about another artist that is able to get me on the verge of crying like her. Kristin is special.
She's become one of my favorite artists of all time, I love all of the projects she's done. Oddly, I could listen to her music casually when I first found it, but once I learned more about her story, I find it harder to sit through. Seeing her live was also a life-changing experience, it was one of the greatest shows I've ever seen
@enri_mucca I'm so sorry to hear that, I feel really bad for those that didn't get to see her. Those performances were truly sucking the life out of her, though. Hopefully she'll come back through Italy under her new name
I struggle to call Eyehategod’s “Dopesick” as entirely angry. It’s more of a realistic look into urban isolation, failed social structures, and self medication. True, anger is a component, but there’s other negative vibes here. Also, Jimmy Bower is probably the most under appreciated guitarists in music. No one else can churn out punk rock mixed with Lynrd Skynrd guitar riffs. Total Southern nihilism.
Meshuggah - Chaosphere needs some love honestly. People think of Meshuggah and immediately talk shit because of Djent and all that shit, when in reality Meshuggah (Especially their 90's stuff) is some of the most fucked up extreme and complex metal in existence, truly one of the greatest metal bands of all time imo.
Coming to this late, but in terms of just sheer anger and just pure negative energy, Continent by The Acacia Strain is without a doubt the angriest album I've ever heard. Most people will right it off due to its connection to the myspace deathcore scene in 2008 but forget that it has a massive hardcore underlying. That album is the soundtrack to a battery charge.
Toadliquor's album Feel My Hate I find is one of the most crushingly angry albums I've heard, saw a review that said the vocalist sounds like he's been gagged with a rag dipped in gasoline and its so accurate, I'll also bring up Too Many Humans by No Trend again considering just the amount of misanthropy dripping from that album while the instrumentation may not be the heaviest or angriest you've heard just the amount of spite and hatred in the lyrics is enough to make you feel like you're being yelled at for who you are rather than just listening to an album
The opening track on Iowa, (515), is one of my favorites even though I rarely listen to Slipknot anymore. The story behind it is that Sid (the guy on turntables) had a grandfather who was deathly ill throughout the recording of Iowa, and he planned on finishing his parts quickly so he could go visit him in the hospital. Apparently, his grandfather passed on the last day of recording and Sid didn't get to see him so he had a breakdown in the studio that was recorded then used for that opening track. Knowing the story behind it and the anger, sorrow, and grief that drove the track makes it so visceral that it's almost uncomfortable for me to listen to. Iowa as a whole is such a killer album and I wish people wouldn't dismiss it just because it's Slipknot..

Very surprised to hear you weren’t familiar with SYL, but glad you enjoyed it. I saw them on that tour having no idea what to expect. All I knew is Gene Hoglan was playing drums and that guy that sang for Steve Vai was in it, so when that first hit from Velvet Kevorkian kicked in and all the samples and distortion started assaulting me, I was flabbergasted. I was not expecting that from a guy who came from Steve Vai. Needless to say it altered the way I listened to and wrote music forever, and Devin became my favorite musician of all time. Like others have said, def check out Alien, but I know you are open minded because your fave album is by Depeche Mode, so you HAVE to listen to Infinity by Devin Townsend. My fave album of all time and one of the most bombastic, unique musical experiences anyone can have
Personally for me, Knocked loose 'a different shade of blue'. Now I know that I'm probably going to get flak for this, but it is the angriest and most emotional ablum for me. Probably because I don't particulary like death metal or low growls or just nonstop instrumental noise that honestly just gives me a headache. Vocals are very clear and emotional in a different shade of blue, thanks to the vocalist's more unique scream that is polarising, but it makes it easier to understand what the song is about and to scream along to. Also, I think the subgenre of hard core is the 'angriest' metal subgenre. It may be because I'm younger, the ablum might not resonate with someone who's an older metal head.
Compared to their first record, this one not only feels angrier but is also darker. Definitely set them apart from the rest of those metalcore bands that came from the midwest/east coast hardcore scene.
Was kind of surprised to find that I know and love most of the albums mentioned here! My first thought that came to mind personally was Despise You - West Side Horizons. It’s powerviolence that to me just sounds like pure unfiltered rage, even compared to other powerviolence I know.
So cool to see that I commented about “Iowa” on the previous video, and here is a new video with it in the thumbnail hehe. Slipknot pumped out some really heavy shit on that beast. Rage and hatred straight through it from start to finish. I think lots of people forget how many extreme metal elements Slipknot brought to the mainstream. Joey/Paul/Mick were huge Death Metal guys and were in DM bands themselves before the Knot.
Mouthbreather - Pig EP is probably my favorite angry listen. Sworn In - The Death Card was cool too when it came out and their lyrics overall are just angry/sad. I love your vids also glad you mentioned orchid
You certainly have got a new audience these days Wyatt! I wish you all the best !! I truly hope that you do alright with your career what ever that may be.
Admiral Angry was an amazing band, but the backstory behind the album is so sad. Also, I’d consider listening to Black sheep wall if you like admiral angry, it’s very similar.
Catharsis - Samsara really evokes a silent/righteous fury vibe, makes the band's name really fit. Another good one would be Watchmaker - Kill Fucking Everything. That one is essentially sonicwave hate crime
I'd throw Rosenfeld - Pigs Of The Empire here, angriest thrash i've ever heard. Unfortunately it probably wouldn't fly on youtube because of their imagery (which was ironic). Makes Nailbomb sound tame on the same subjects, and I love Nailbomb.

I absolutely implore you to check out Alien by Strapping Young Lad next. In the most positive way, this album is absolutely fucked. It has their biggest song, “Love?”, which goes insanely hard - yet it’s contrasted by a truly unnerving display of a manic episode, the song “Shitstorm”. The closing track is also a monolithic noise piece.
I think that the Death to Capitalist Hardcore EP by Sore Throat is an incredibly angry album. Its a Grindcore album so it naturally should be angry but Sore Throat takes it to another level by just being screeching guitar, thick drums, thick bass and caveman vocals. Not for everyone but definitely interesting and mad sounding.
Napalm Death - Time Waits for No Slave Strapping Young Lad - Alien Hate Eternal - Fury & Flames Helmet - Strap It On Fugazi - Repeater Training for Utopia - Plastic Soul Impalement Pig Destroyer - Terrifyer Vision of Disorder - Imprint Godflesh - Streetcleaner Blood for Blood - Outlaw Anthems Refused - The Shape of Punk to Come
Well it isn't metal but Lou Reed's Street Hassle has quite a few bitter moments. Some lyrics: "Don't you know that things always look ugly, to me they always look the same" and "They'd eat shit and say it tasted good if there was some money in it for them." Funny enough I'm listening to the first Nothing Has Changed album, which is metal. Coming from politically divided Poland, not surprisingly it is as angry as you expect, seemingly aimed at runaway capitalism and neoliberalism.
I absolutely love Buster. It has got to be my favorite Sludge metal album of all time and it being angry makes a lot of sense when you know why it was made to be so pissed off
Back Seat Demon Engines - Damaged, got the term hatecore for good reason. Makes me too happy to say it's the angriest, but it's intense. Dillinger' - Calculating Infinity does a similar thing to my pre-frontal... 'Angry' is a tough one. Intent and delivery are going to be part of the conversation. Not always hand in hand.
Over 43 subs, good job dude and i love how you go into depth with so much shit oh and thanks for even discussing war metal. Nobody really talks about war metal
At first I laughed when I saw Slipknot - Iowa in the video preview. I immediately thought that the sad zoomers-doomers voted for the metal Backstreet Boys with guitars. But then I thought about it more deeply and remembered 22 years ago when I was listening to Slipknot's first album and I was watching the movie Resident Evil with a friend and Slipknot's song from their second album Iowa, My Plague, was part of the movie soundtrack. A friend made a remark that I had heard the new Slipknot, and I replied that I hadn't. And he replied that I have something to look forward to, because the first album compared to Iowa only sounds like Backstreet Boys with guitars. And it was true, Iowa is a pissed off album and we know why. But unfortunately my association with Slipknot and other nu-metal/alternative metal bands is such that I don't take them very seriously, even though I like them. Even Korn's first album is full of anger and frustration, as is Linkin Park's Hybrid Theory. I like to listen to those albums as nostalgia for my teenage days, but that's about it. I guess I'm also a bit of a metal snob, although I swear at snobs, because I consider Anaal Nathrakh to be a more serious band with a really angry sound and message.
Do you have that video where you read A.C. lyrics? It was absolutely hysterical and true and had me laughing so hard I could barely breathe! If I remember correctly you were also laughing incredibly hard in the video. It was a long time ago, and I can't remember the video's exact title. But if you still have a copy of it somewhere, I would be eternally grateful if I could watch it again. It was truly in my top 5 favorite YT videos ever - of any genre. And I've been on YT for almost two decades lol. Thanks again man love your work. Cheers mate!
Broken Glass by Crowbar, No More Dreams Of Happy Endings by Damnation A.D., Master Killer by Merauder, From All Purity by Indian I guess would be my picks.
Anger Issues by Traitors, Nothing Is Beautiful by Spite, Fear & Dagger by Paleface Swiss and Laugh Tracks by Knocked Loose immediately come to mind for me
Hung With Barbwire by Heinous Killings gotta be the angriest brutal death metal record. Idek why it sounds so pissed because it’s thematically pretty similar to other bdm and slam bands, but the energy of the record is just disgustingly pissed off imo
Also, correction, Buster wasn’t the only thing Admiral Angry did. They released a 20 minute long single after that basically being their swansong and it’s somehow like 10 times angrier than Buster
id say this is one of the angriest albums of all time, angriest band in the world, theyve gotten that title a number of times and definitely deserve it
METHWITCH- INDWELL Holy mother of god does this album go so fucking hard. It feels like if Primative Man and Dillinger Escape Plan had this weird love child abomination with each other. That in itself should be a terrifying thought if you know the styles of music both bands play in. Absolutely insane stuff.
Since you've put Admiral Angry, I'd also add The Last Ten Seconds Of Life's Invivo/Ex-Vivo and Soulles Hymns. Storm Strope delivered such a jarring performance vocally speaking that it always throws me off, and most of the tracks deal with very real problems, like isolation, drug addiction, mental illness, psychosis and so on and so forth. They're just two extremely miserable albums.
A game i used to play: you can take any song title and attribute it to meghan trainor and it's funny. Examples: Meghan Trainor - Instinct of Survival. Meghan Trainor - Janitor of Lunacy. Meghan Trainor - Beyond Unknown Pleasures
Admiral Angry is probably the most pissed-off band that I've ever heard, but I can't agree with the lack of technicality,. Chris Stites (drummer) incorporated a lot of complex grooves, especially at the end of the song "Android" and some weird time signatures like in "Specimen On"
I would describe calculating infinity as more frantic, chaotic and anxious. I also don’t get anger from that album. It is very overbearing and chaotic though
Geat video Wyatt, id add, Fuck the facts, album backstaber etiquette, women singer from Canada, and apartment 213, on the top of my head, had to edit deicide serpents of the light
As soon as I started watching this video I started thinking about what albums I would choose and the first one that came to my mind was dystopia and not 10 seconds later you said that everyone brought them up 🤣
the word I would describe iowa is "brutal". but yeah it's angry too, can't argue with that lol and bands like orchid, dillinger or eyehategod absolutely deserve to be on this list
Off the top. Kiss it goodbye - she loves me In cold Blood - hell on earth Crawlpappy - deluxe INFEST RUPTURE - cunt of God No Trend - too many humans Definitely agree on HHIG, great record and Negative plane rules 🤘☠️
Angriest album I know is Minor Threat’s collection. I once had an asshole co worker that would blast Pantera to shit on her co workers, so I blasted this in response.
Now my angriest albums are going to be a bit different. Cool to see Nailbomb on here and I agree with Iowa being an angry album. Even though im not a Slipknot fan it is an album that I almost liked. Deicide's Once Upon the Cross is an angry record. The debut from Deicide is raw and showed what they were all about, Legion was a mile ahead of the self titled, Once Upon the Cross was thier really pissed off album. Its fast heavy as fuck and blasphemous. People can argue that Deicide is always pissed off about Christians true but this album is a bit angrier. Another band that wasnt mentioned was Brujeria with Matando Gueros. I have diciphered the lyrics and they are a bit tongue in cheek, but it sounds angry as shit.
Without Massgrav this list is just incomplete. ;-) Some recommendations: Massgrav - Napalm Över Stureplan Extreme Noise Terror - A holocaust in your head Doctor Livingstone - Contemptus Saeculi Defecation - Purity Dilution Totenmond - Reich in Rost
Massgrav!! I saw their show at OEF 2013, and they blew me away. Just these three totally random looking guys, and they simply murdered the competition that day. Everything that came after them just sounded like Oasis as a result.

Hey what about getting on with some music! Really does not think that the unfortunate situation surronding the making of Iowa is a reason for talking about the album being angry!
Freaking love this series channel man you are the best metal UA-camrever 🤘❤️
I think that the Death to Capitalist Hardcore EP by Sore Throat is an incredibly angry album. Its a Grindcore album so it naturally should be angry but Sore Throat takes it to another level by just being screeching guitar, thick drums, thick bass and caveman vocals. Not for everyone but definitely interesting and mad sounding.
That Grit Teeth record is awesome. I have no idea what happened to them or if they've released anything since
Solace by ion Dissonance is the angriest album I’ve ever heard. If y’all have heard it you need to check it out
Napalm Death - Time Waits for No Slave
Strapping Young Lad - Alien
Hate Eternal - Fury & Flames
Helmet - Strap It On
Fugazi - Repeater
Training for Utopia - Plastic Soul Impalement
Pig Destroyer - Terrifyer
Vision of Disorder - Imprint
Godflesh - Streetcleaner
Blood for Blood - Outlaw Anthems
Refused - The Shape of Punk to Come
Well it isn't metal but Lou Reed's Street Hassle has quite a few bitter moments.
It has got to be my favorite Sludge metal album of all time and it being angry makes a lot of sense when you know why it was made to be so pissed off
Magrudergrind- Self-titled
Converge - Jane Doe
GAZA - NAIHM
Moth Mother - Pesemizem
Kiss It Goodbye - she loves me, she loves me not
Back Seat Demon Engines - Damaged, got the term hatecore for good reason.
"Ringworm - Hammer Of The Witch" absolute mayhem from start to finish!!
Sentence the album War is an angry European straight edge band. They play that old school metalcore type stuff like Kickback
Ulcerate-everything is fire
Devolved-reprisal
Caligula is truly powerful music
Good list.
You’d like the Onyx album I mentioned in the other video, if you like Gravediggaz but with a way over the edge delivery
nice new music to listen to, love your vids man
Ty for talking about Orchid ❤ love em to death!
Broken Glass by Crowbar, No More Dreams Of Happy Endings by Damnation A.D., Master Killer by Merauder, From All Purity by
Indian I guess would be my picks.
Anger Issues by Traitors, Nothing Is Beautiful by Spite, Fear & Dagger by Paleface Swiss and Laugh Tracks by Knocked Loose immediately come to mind for me
Earl Sweatshirt - I don't like sh*t, I don't go outside
Iowa to me is much like Great Southern Trendkill... Shocking to anyone that were bopping their collective heads to the more accessible stuff.
Slipknot also hated each other during the Iowa era. So that hate was more genuine
West Side Horizons by Despise You. Perfectly encapsulates the frustration of life and self-loathing bits lyrically and musically.
id say this is one of the angriest albums of all time, angriest band in the world, theyve gotten that title a number of times and definitely deserve it
METHWITCH- INDWELL
Holy mother of god does this album go so fucking hard.
Forgot to mention last time. In disgust is some of the angriest powerviolence/hardcore. That Reality choke 10" is so fuckin pissed
Title by Meghan Trainor. Whenever I hear All About That Bass and Dear Future Husband, I just wanna punch a wall
A game i used to play: you can take any song title and attribute it to meghan trainor and it's funny. Examples: Meghan Trainor - Instinct of Survival. Meghan Trainor - Janitor of Lunacy. Meghan Trainor - Beyond Unknown Pleasures
Try this -- The Ungovernable Force by Conflict (Mortarhate, 1986, UK)
Funny first thing I thought of before watching was City. Btw, SYL sends Fear Factory home in a stretcher. Calculating Infinity is great
Admiral Angry is probably the most pissed-off band that I've ever heard, but I can't agree with the lack of technicality,.
Cold As Life - Born To Land Hard is one of the most pissed off fuck you hardcore records of all time
Show the fastest or the slowest albums that you know
I think if you want a TDEP record that’s seriously angry, you should check out One Of Us Is The Killer.
Geat video Wyatt, id add, Fuck the facts, album backstaber etiquette, women singer from Canada, and apartment 213, on the top of my head, had to edit deicide serpents of the light
Not saying it should be on here but the mention of his hero is gone and tragedy and dystopia if you like all above then check out.
Fall of efara
As soon as I started watching this video I started thinking about what albums I would choose and the first one that came to my mind was dystopia and not 10 seconds later you said that everyone brought them up 🤣
I second the most funny/humorous albums suggestion
You should do "the most paranoid/chaotic albums that i know"
Still no Terrorfront. Damn.
Also something from Revenge.
Panzer Division Marduk always gets my blood pumping
the word I would describe iowa is "brutal". but yeah it's angry too, can't argue with that lol
and bands like orchid, dillinger or eyehategod absolutely deserve to be on this list
Can you please do a full analysis and listen of the song at the door of the tenth sublevel by leviathan??
That song will send you into a downward spiral
@@velipyr I actually have it with lyrics on my channel, insanely good
Appalachian Terror Unit make very angry hardcore. Also Wolfbrigade.
Damned is such a good album
No ... And Justice for all? That album makes me wanna fight.
Off the top.
Kiss it goodbye - she loves me
In cold Blood - hell on earth
Crawlpappy - deluxe
INFEST
RUPTURE - cunt of God
No Trend - too many humans
Definitely agree on HHIG, great record and Negative plane rules 🤘☠️
You need a playlist for these
I’d love a list of the most chaotic albums you know
Caligula by Lingua Ignota comes to mind for me. It’s heavier than any metal band I’ve heard.
Indian's "From All Purity" is likely the most vitriolic, meanest, and angriest sounding album I've heard. Not sure if anyone mentioned that one.
To get any angrier than Willie D of the Geto Boys the record would actually have to come with explosives.
Angriest album I know is Minor Threat’s collection. I once had an asshole co worker that would blast Pantera to shit on her co workers, so I blasted this in response.
Nice segue from Daughters to Lingua Ignota
Was gonna suggest any Hatebreed album, but while it sounds angry, lyrically Jamie Jasta is one of the most positive dudes in metal.
Without Massgrav this list is just incomplete. ;-)
Some recommendations:
Massgrav - Napalm Över Stureplan
Extreme Noise Terror - A holocaust in your head
Doctor Livingstone - Contemptus Saeculi
Defecation - Purity Dilution
Totenmond - Reich in Rost
Massgrav!! I saw their show at OEF 2013, and they blew me away. Just these three totally random looking guys, and they simply murdered the competition that day. Everything that came after them just sounded like Oasis as a result.
@@profile1674 Sadly never had the opportunity to see them live. You should definitely give their Split with Diskonto a try if you haven´t yet. Just gorgeous ;-)

IRM, Brighter Death Now, MZ 412, Inade
Hey what about getting on with some music! Really does not think that the unfortunate situation surronding the making of Iowa is a reason for talking about the album being angry! If it was hundreds of pop, rock, country and goth albums would be as angry as whatever albums made by any metal artist that including Slipknot !
As to mentioning angry albums: Any album by Esoteric
Please review Minenwerfer - Alpenpässe
Born Against's Nine Patriotic Hymns or something by Christ On A Crutch
Maybe it's just me, I'd say Kvelertak 1st & 2nd albums are pretty angry too.
