Someone pointed out that colors of the Chapter which came to rescue may indicate Pre-Badab Astral Claws, which could make sense, considering how it was with Executioners, especially that we dont kmow at what point in time this battle is taking place
I think it ultimately depends on if this song is based on an existing event/story or it’s own thing, since I’m sure Astral Claws/Executioners have saved them before but I’m not sure if Salamanders and Space wolves have
It could also be a reference to the 9th Black Crusade, where the Lamenters suffered heavy losses defending hive world Corillia & was subsequently relieved by the Ultramarines and White Scars. Sure, blueberries are more navy than ice & white scars rarely have fire-adjacent symbols, but Astral Claws are also mostly silver with blue secondary and gold trim. I'm not sure if we can determine what (if any) canonical event the song is about at this stage. I mean maybe, but I wouldn’t say the star on their symbol is meant to be snowflake, it looks more like a star, or comet given the flaming tail. It’s also “Barges” that they deploy from, and the Marines Errant only have one. Like I say, both the SW and Sallies have a thematic reason to be there given they and the Lamentors all prioritise mortals more than most marines, and they’re the 2 chapters most associated with both Ice and Fire respectively. In the shadows of despair
I alone stand
I am amidst scars
And blood-soaked sand
Fallen friends and
Sacrifices made
Though alone
I'll make certain
They are not in vain
Chorus:
Resolute
My purpose
Crystal Clear
Not for glory
Duty
But for those that
I hold dear
I will brave the
Darkness
Show no fear
I'll make death
Gaze into my eyes
And it shall know I'll
Per-ser-ve
In the fray
One against
Thousand of legions more
Each strike a surge of
Fury and vengeance borne
My spirit is ablaze
For Retribution
Yet my flesh wanes
With each
Execution
Each shot and slash I take
Drives me to
Exhaustion
But I must be like
Unyielding bastion
Chorus
My gun blasts
My sword rings
A frantic harmory
For all that is good
I'll endure this
Painful symphony
As my foes surround me
For the kill
Shielding those near my heart
On knees I fell
I muster my last
Strength and will
As I close my eyes
I hear my death knell
Then the sound of barges
Breaks the sky
They bear the mark and colour of
Flame and ice
They raise me to my feet and
Join the fight
For those we cherish
And his
Holy light
Chorus
