Already i did it on my 2008 is250, i did two lexus 2008 with r154 trans since 4years ago. It is very simple but everything custom made. you can leave is250 ecu for operating chassis function and use standalone for run the engine.
I really want to do this swap on my 08 is what kind of mounts u used ?
What's the cost for this?
It's cost around 10K including stock 2jzgte vvti with R154 trans

Dan, you are becoming one of my favorite drivers, I love your attention to detail, and the level of RAD that you put into all of these cars!
This is a HUGE step for the car community in 2020. Cool cars are becoming more and more expensive as they get rarer. I hope to see more builds like this in the future!
Love this build! Y'all are doing great work! I know how much of a pain mapping CAN locations is, so I totally get the concern. I'm curious to see if the Lexus ECUs could manage all the body control systems, but that often comes with it's own compatibility issues. If you guys do manage to find somebody to capture the CAN data and map the system, you'd definitely help move the Lexus aftermarket forward considerably, especially considering how most Lexus systems are still encrypted. Hey, just want to say awesome build. Love to have that myself, a 2jz in a modern looking car, but i believe 2nd gen IS is electronic power steering.

Dan, I've got an is200t Lexus with the new 2.0l turbo 4cyl engine. I'm hoping to modify it and build it towards 600hp and if possible do a manual swap on it.

I just picked up an Aristo 147 with a non-vvti 2J already in it so a lot of this info. is applicable. Great swap thanks!

You could possibly keep the factory ecu for the can stuff and still use the stand-alone for the engine
....I love 2jz but why put one in for only 400hp instead of just supercharging it or turbo. I know there is a supercharger kit for the 2IS and 3IS. The is350 puts out ~300hp to the crank as it is.
Awesome videos. I saw a company called pure automotive they build a harness for the frs and uses all the can bus with motec maybe someone you can work with. Great work and videos.

Powertune Australia is really good with the programming side of things on motec ecu’s mite be worth hitting them up with the power steering issue

all this work for 400 HP? dont get me wrong. COOL project for sure but man just get ISF or RCF OR RR racing supercharger on IS350 damn so many options

so it seems money isnt a concern to this client....so i do wonder why he didnt opt for a stronger transmission other than the R154
R154 is a decent trans for a show car with a 2j. Youre not gonna be racing it either. I have a 2jzgte with r154 in a is300. Great combo with a different rear end and built gears by marlin crawler. This actually would be like a retro build in a digital chasis or something.
