You have been missing out my friend. They have 92 great songs (performed 89 live so far)... 20+ MV and live videos are Available on their official channel.
Nice reaction ladies....loved those smiles......you were really enjoying the music..... Band-Maid is best seen live...if they ever come near you...be sure to see them live....well worth the experience......enjoy the music..... respect from 🇨🇦
Probably one of the most talented rythmsections around. Funfact: Jimmy Page discovered them in 2016 when visiting Japan and by chance went to one of their concerts. He was blown away by Akane Hirose, and claimed she was among the best drummers. He played with the legend John Bonham in Led Zeppelin. Next? Moratorium, Domination or Blooming. Hugs from Norway.
There are different variations of this story around, some rather exaggerated. Jimmy Page was a guest at at the 2016 Classic Rock Awards ceremony that was held in Tokyo, Japan. Band-Maid was presented the next generation prize and performed. Jimmy Page heard them and asked to talk to the drummer afterwards. Akane's twitter account says that he told her that her performance was great. And she said how grateful she was for this encouragement, and she would never forget it. That's all. But wow, Jimmy Page could have asked to speak to anyone, or no one at all and just gone back to his no doubt very comfortable hotel room. She really is great. I love Led Zeppelin too, but if i had to choose between John Bonham and Akane, she would get my vote.
@@abby3734 ua-cam.com/video/_ik6UBQmXW0/v-deo.html is a good close up and fun to watch. If you're after the 2016 Classic Rock awards performance, I haven't seen it and don't know where you might find it. If you do, please let me know :)
Band maid is all about feel good rock n roll. A lot of their songs are pretty short sadly but the content of each one is amazing. You will struggle to find a song that doesnt make you want to get up and move. Live adds so much over the studio version. You girls should do domination live form 2-14-20, or dont you tell me live from zep Tokyo. This band has an easy 20 songs that could be better then the last one you heard. Have fun ladies.
Band-Maid is best enjoyed live. "Play" was supposed to be an instrumental, but they liked it so much that Miku wrote some lyrics to it and what you see is the brilliant result.
So glad you're reacting to the best band on the planet right now. You need to do more reactions to Band Maid. I'm about to hit 60 at the end of the month and I haven't been as excited about a band in many decades. Cheers from the UK!

Great reaction. Love Juliet's enthusiasm especially. More Band-Maid! Watch the music video for Dice next or their recent live performance of Domination.
That was fun! If you ever get the chance to watch their latest live version of this song from 14 Feb 2020, Line Cube Shibuya... it makes me forget this version (2018) that you just reacted to. Extra long new extended intro, and they have more fun on stage than ever before. And Saiki’s voice has got even stronger.
Really enjoy your reactions, this one especially as it's my favorite band right now. Please tell your friends about Band-Maid! This hard working band from Japan has it all. 1) There is no weak link. They are all great musicians. 2) They crank out great songs just one after another. 3) Their songs are not simple (they build in surprises at every turn) but they are still catchy as hell. 4) Most importantly, their music makes you smile!! I start my day with Band-Maid literally every day because it helps my frame of mind during these tough times. I know you want to listen to different bands (you should!), but if you can make time for these Band-Maid songs you'll be even more impressed! Domination Live 2020 ua-cam.com/video/QbyQCJn6rYg/v-deo.html Real Existence Live 2018 ua-cam.com/video/-qQnKILR5u0/v-deo.html Blooming ua-cam.com/video/uUt_JBMocKM/v-deo.html Moratorium ua-cam.com/video/-c9BDODqXU8/v-deo.html and literally everything they do is awesome and FUN!!
Band-Maid does more with 3 1/2 minutes than most bands do in an hour! To push this song any longer would actually detract from it. Moratorium, Daydreaming, Domination, and Choose Me are ones I would recommend next.
Band-Maid are just epic musicians and song writers. Their songs are all catchy with excellent musicianship. They put most guys to shame. And I totally dig the maid image. It's genius! They have great videos, but to me their best vids are the live ones. With the live ones though, you gotta hurry because they're starting to pull them. Domination: ua-cam.com/video/QbyQCJn6rYg/v-deo.html
They are my fav band! All of them are phenomenal... a next reaction could be any song really! This song is phenomenal and specially this performance... the way this song ends in this live show it's like a painful punch in the face and it's over. The song isn't short, it's just THAT good! Band-Maid have this special ability to deliver everything a song needs to be perfect and then wraps it up, they don't "milk-the-cow" sort of speak... they don't waste time trying to show-off ... the result is that they always leave you wanting for more. Sometimes it's really painful (like in "Play") when a song comes to a end... Try "Matchless GUM" and for me, the song is a monster, Saiki sings it emotionally perfect and Kanami does one piercing insane solo, just a few seconds and then turns back to Saiki's soothing vocals and it ends with what seems to be the start of a masterful Kanami solo but she wraps it up really quick while you are still hoovering in sound awesomeness and you splat on the floor crying "oooh no no no no.. a little more of this please please please..." - but well, you just have to listen to the song all over again... :-D
Good job Ladies! I just got into japanese bands myself a few months ago. Since then I've been guilty of binge watching their (reaction) videos. :D Band Maid and Lovebites are my 2 favorite bands in j -rock/metal. You could check out basicly any song it will blow your mind ;) Would suggest Band Maid "Domination" Live . next. it's in their channel. From Lovebites "When Destinys Allign" or "Shadowmaker" it's more metal, but the songs are in English. If you intend to fall into a nother rabbit hole. :) Enjoy!
Hmmm, Band-Maid songs? Don't Let me Down, The Non-Fiction Days, Before Yesterday, Don't you Tell ME, secret my lips, Daydreaming. Glad you're enjoying the Band-Maid and am looking forward to you listening to more of their songs! Keep rocking!
About a month or so ago, Band Maid briefly released a 30 minute cut from one of their concerts. Besides being blown away by their musicianship I loved that their segueways were seamless-perfect. This is one tight group. I can't wait to see them in concert.
All these ladies can really play. FYI, the bass player is Misa and her nickname is "The Assasin". Once you hear her play, you understand the reference. Enjoy!
Great job Ladies. Have you heard of the all female Japanese Rock Band, Lovebites? When Destinies Align (official video) is amazing. They will knock your socks off.
How Band-Maid works; Kanami (lead guitar) composes the music then sends it to Akane (drums) and MISA (bass) for rhythm input. Miku (rhythm guitar, vocals, band founder) writes the lyrics. They work thru the internet. Then to the studio where they "fine tune" the song to it's final version. Saiki (vocals) is the one says they're done with song, I believe because the others would just continue fine tuning. Recap, they write, arrange and produce their music and Miku and Saiki determine the order of the songs on the albums. Best Rock n Roll band I have heard in years, my RnR listening dates back to Jerry lee Lewis and Chuck Berry. Everyone BE SAFE sheltering in California
You girls really got to try and see them live, one, because they are unbelievable live and two they really like it when women are in the audience. If you want to see another side to the try Anemone acoustic live it a totally different side to their talents

Watch Band Maid "Domination" Live. Fun fact - the guitarists all go to the drummer and pull funny faces to try to put her off! (spoiler: they fail).... the attempt is funny. These girls had to be their own roadies so they have not done it easy! Imagine setting up and then having to get changed, play the set or gig, get changed, pack up, go home... get ready to do it again.....
Lovely reaction. I like your enthusiasm and how you go with the music. Band-Maid is proud new member in the league of the real great ones. I saw almost all of the big ones live and these ladies can easily catch up with all of them - and definitely some of my top 5 live experiences. They got it all: Complex but catchy, versatility, great musicianship, top notch interplay, soaring vocals and beautiful harmonies and a insane powerful driving engine - one of the best rhythm section in rock these days ... and last but not least refreshing ego free and goofy personalities. There are other great Bands to discover in Japan, like GacharicSpin, Aldious, Bridear, Mary’s Blood (all female) and many more, but no one comes close to Band-Maid as full package in my opinion. Ok, gonna try commenting again, for the third time,.you ladies did great again, love how you get into the video and pay attention to whats bein played. Now if you want more solos and great Bandmaid music, try Domination live, Puzzle live, Moratorium live, and more...Most great Bandmaid videos are their live versions. except for Blooming, watch the production video, its great.
Yeeh.... Girls. You were warned about BandMaid. They are awesome. Right ? Just keep 'em coming. Well. Next on the list should be the band LACUNA COIL from Italy. Song "Swamped" from 2002. Or "Heavens A Lie" also 2002. After one (or both) of these should be a newer one "Blood, Tears, Dust" 2017. Another suggestion is this band: Alien Weaponry from New Zealand. Song "Kai Tangata". The lyrics is in the Māori language. So dont bother trying to understand it :) Just do some headbanging :D Both bands should be on your list for future reactions. Cheers once again from Denmark :) Yeeh !
Your enthusiasm is definitely infectious, just like Band-Maid themselves! You really haven't seen anything yet though, there are plenty more Band-Maid songs to blow your minds! As others have suggested, you should definitely try the live version of Domination next from February this year - here's the link: ua-cam.com/video/QbyQCJn6rYg/v-deo.html
Band Maid is awesome. Those ladies are so talented! The bass player is my favorite, she just rocks. Great reaction. 😁 May I suggest Eluveitie - Call of the Mountains.
Annnnd suscribed! loved your reactions more Band Maid please. Also if you want to check out something Different but just as cool you should react to The Warning "Dust to dust" or Survive" they are another all female band formed by three sisters and they rock!!!
This was originally supposed to be an instrumental song, the lyrics are an afterthought. That's why there's so much show off of the individual instruments, and why the chorus is just simple "yeah yeah, lala lala, wow wow, lala lala". This song and the performance concentrate what makes the band so good. Brilliant instrumentation, tight live performance, smart fast-paced composition, nasty riffs, metal drum patterns, catchy melodies, and the bravery (or just giving zero fucks about "norms") of using a bass solo as an intro, at the peak moment of the song, or anywhere else.
Japanese all girl bands, as a music scene, have gotten soooo good, always existed, but the last 10 years they’ve gotten significantly better and more competitive and popular, yet basically all support each other, so many more to see. I know you saw Lovebites (metal), BandMaid(hard rock), BabyMetal (dance meets metal), and I’ve linked Doll$Boxx(rock/funk/metal/dance), but here’s one to try that I’d just call a pop rock band (tho this song is a little bit funky), Silent Siren - Fujiyama Disco. Like most of these bands, they met when they were teenagers (in this case, as models on a fashion shoot!) and decided the world needed to hear them rock ... ua-cam.com/video/4dOq4V4r8Uw/v-deo.html
You girls need to react to Disturbed!!!!!! I love this band sense I was a young lad and they have been my favorite band of all time. Also, react to Slipknot!!!!!! I love this band too!!
Bass slapping had been used heavily in 1970's disco, you could call it an art form, the best song I could think of having this in it was Rose Royce's Carwash. :)
That way of bass playing is called SLAPPING or BASS SLAPPING , It's more of a FUNK style. The fact they are metal and using a "bass slap" technique is unusual :)
girls their reactions are very good, if they could react more in the future the song the greatest show on earth live an tempere ... wow that song is wow excitement hurry ... they won a subscriber. I use a translator to write since I am Spanish speaking.
Okay you just have to do the live version of DOMINATION that came out a couple of months ago from the line cube concert in Shibua and about half way through the song the girls start rocking out and its great fun. Choose Me from the same concert is great too. SAIKI let's herself go a bit with some little growls and demanding responses from the crowd but after all that DICE is their best song but there's not much in it. In the song BLOOMING SAIKI rapid fires the lyrics almost rapping. THE DRAGON CRIES is in English language with subtitles as well with a disturbing film clip about the health of the planet. It's a more mature song. Still a great song but not a fun song ,it's a serious topic. Have you ever thought about reacting to something else besides music?. Have a look at THE SACRED RIANA. I'm not going to tell you anything and perhaps you might prefer to see it in private but you must experience it.
MISA!!!!! MISA!!!!!! MISA!!!!!!! Bass Assassin. Great hard Rock. The only hard Rock band that is playing today. 5 musicians that are great at what they do and mesh very well and they have fun on stage... If you love the bass, React to Onset, Don't you Tell me, Moratorium, Puzzle, Dice
All girls band from 90's metal band is called Kittie by far my number one favorite song! Song is called into the darkness! Here's the link to the video ua-cam.com/video/c0HFnFgFOOU/v-deo.html
Would love to see you do another Band-Maid song - maybe Domination Live version 2020 Shibuya Line cube from their page, but they literally don't have any bad songs. Onset would also show you a different side, as would their alter-ego band Band-Maiko (apprentice geishas) doing Secret my Lips. You still haven't seen them at their best instrumentally.

The next on BAND MAID THRILL!!!! I love this song.
Mujeres al poder!!!!!
Yeeh....
So dont bother trying to understand it :) Just do some headbanging :D
Both bands should be on your list for future reactions.
You girls try out LOVEBITES SHADOW MAKER OR CRUSADE.
MISA! MISA!! MISA!!!

Band Maid is awesome. Those ladies are so talented! The bass player is my favorite, she just rocks. Great reaction. 😁 May I suggest Eluveitie - Call of the Mountains.
2:19 - You pause the videos? Yeah, that didn't happen. LOL.
You should check out a band called The Warning. They are 3 sisters from Mexico!
Annnnd suscribed! loved your reactions more Band Maid please. Also if you want to check out something Different but just as cool you should react to The Warning "Dust to dust" or Survive" they are another all female band formed by three sisters and they rock!!!
long live BAND MAID.
If I were stranded on a desert island, I would want only the music of BAND-MAID and SCANDAL.
Oh, BTW...MISA MISA MISA!
I would really like to see your reaction to Ted Nugent's Stranglehold
I was turned on to Band Maid about 1 month ago, Those girls Rock
And Sabaton
Bass slapping had been used heavily in 1970's disco, you could call it an art form, the best song I could think of having this in it was Rose Royce's Carwash. :)
That way of bass playing is called SLAPPING or BASS SLAPPING , It's more of a FUNK style. The fact they are metal and using a "bass slap" technique is unusual :)
girls their reactions are very good, if they could react more in the future the song the greatest show on earth live an tempere ... wow that song is wow excitement hurry ... they won a subscriber.
I use a translator to write since I am Spanish speaking.
Nice band maid agan
You should check out 'Heartless Scat' by Ningen Isu soon! You wont be disappointed! ;)
Keep up the good work girls!
We hail you from Germany \m/ \m/

Would love to see you do another Band-Maid song - maybe Domination Live version 2020 Shibuya Line cube from their page, but they literally don't have any bad songs. Onset would also show you a different side, as would their alter-ego band Band-Maiko (apprentice geishas) doing Secret my Lips. You still haven't seen them at their best instrumentally.
I absolutley love your videos guys. You guys rock. 🤘 please react to Iron Maiden Blood Brothers. You will love it. Lots of love from South Africa❤😄🇿🇦
