Still using my Telemark 2 a lot. Works for me alone, me and the dog or me and my other half. Best 2 man hiking tent going imo.

Literally stumbled across this as I'm looking for a lightweight option. I currently have a kuiu storm star 2p which is an incredibly strong tent but at 2.4kg it's a little over kill for this time of the year.
Thanks for a detailed video. It will help me make my final decision 😊

I like my Telemark 2. I think bought it in 2016. I've had to reproof it, which is fair enough. I last used it whilst doing the Cambrian Way in Sept and having a reliable, sturdy, lightweight tent that dries really quickly over a hike this distance is a must. The only down side for me is that the fly and inner at the foot end do touch in some conditions and as a result some water does come in. It's a great tent but not bombproof.

Superb review. Really attracted to the 2.2 as a 1 man tent. Airflow from the 2 doors should really keep condensation down. But is the vestibule really big enough for 2 packs if I were to take the Mrs along?

I think with all your kit it maybe a snug fit! Although the porch space is generous I think with 2 packs it would be to full.

Do you have the 2.2 PU version? It would be interesting to hear about this less expensive version.

Unfortunately we are not currently stocking the 2.2 pu version of this tent. But it would be great addition to the range! You could look at the Vange F10 range! Videos coming soon

      Sorry about the extra cash!
But we are happy that we have been able to show you something exciting! What was the other option?

I was thinking a Vango helium UL2 or maybe the Hubba Hubba although I would rather something that pitched outer first.

@@Tony-P489 both would be great options! That is one of the only draw backs to the hubba hubba! Although with practice you can pitch it outta first its just not as easy as some of the others. This would be a good option to compare the the Helium. Our Exeter store currently have the hubba hubba and the Telemark pitched

I have now owned the Telemark 2LW tent for a year and camped in all weathers, varying altitude and differing lengths of stay, I purchased from Taunton Leisure, Exeter, UK, in July 2021.
I would award this product one star because of the terrible problem with condensation, the ventilation is simply not good enough and you will wake each morning to the inside of the outer shell running with water. The whole point of this tent is to be lightweight and to carry when trekking. This means that when you come to packing for the next stage of your journey, you either separate the inner and outer portions and stow them separately in waterproof bags or roll them together, as intended, and accept that the liner will be wet, not damp, wet, when you come to strike camp that evening.
The other problem associated with such a build up of water inside your sleeping area is the cold. I have no scientific basis to this theory but this is the coldest tent I have used and I can only conclude that the water is having a cooling effect. When you are cold you don't sleep and lack of sleep is not good when out in the wild.
I have a 2 person tent and the shape only allows for one inflatable sleep mat. I have a narrow Exped Synmat and there is no room for a second, so please take this into consideration if you are thinking of using for 2.
I believe a tent must provide shelter from the elements, by keeping you warm and dry, the design of the Telemark means more moisture inside, in any conditions, than on the outside after a storm.
I have spoken with the supplier and manufacturer about the condensation issue but the response is that this is a side effect of the materials used.
For £500 I expect more, sorry Nordisk.

Did you have the 2.2 with the additional vents?

Also have the 2.2 lw and have all these problems but I just tried to get on with it and kept it in two separate dry bags. Unfortunately I've just come back from the lake District early because the one and only pole snapped in two places. Might be tested in a wind tunnel all set up but you can set this up in bad winds without it smashing you in the face or flying away. Had this tent about a year now and already looking at other tents...
