@@MariOmor1 oh man I was going to say "I was going to say that"
That plot twist where it was revealed Vecna was actually Morbius was insane
When Morbius said "It was me all along! Morbius the living vampire. prepare to be morbed!!!!" I literally got goosebumps.
@@crumbo9539 Morb-Bumps* you heretic.
I was so morb-scared, I didn’t morb what to morb-do! Easily the best ,morb-season!
@Devsy 793 My favorite part of the show was when it showed that Vecna has a Morbius tattoo on his neck, and said "Get Morb'd" before he killed Barbara.
That's why Steve said he was a vampire, it all makes sense now
The most impressive part was *how many freaking characters* there were, and yet all of them got just the right amount of plot relevance. I loved all the characters.
One of the few shows that can make me love ALL of the characters. Like, all 15+ of them are so likable. From Joyce to Steve to Alexei (Rest in peace) to Erika. Hell, even Vecna. For a show that's so plot heavy (as most mysteries are), it does an amazing job at flushing out the characters' personalities and showing the chemistry between them.
Big disagree. Anything that took place outside of the Hawkins crew felt disjointed and I would’ve been totally fine if they were cut entirely.
@@OtherWorldAmbience I'm going to have to big disagree back at you lol. I thougt all the storylines, except for maybe the California crew, were all great. Hopper and Elevens storyline were fantastic imo, even if they were a bit slow and dragged at points. It's also hard to say that that they were all irrelevant when we haven't even gotten the last two episodes yet and seen the payoffs. Even the California crews story wasn't terrible by any means, I mean the shootout scene at the house in Epsiode 4 was very well directed.
@@OtherWorldAmbience lmaooo you’re stupid if you think any of the scenes between will and mike were “disjointed” as they play huge roles in each other’s developments as characters and this season was great at allowing the characters alone time to have some impactful dialogue (like with hopper and his cell mate as they open up about their regrets and life before prison). I enjoyed the main storyline of hawkins but didn’t mind anything being shown outside of hawkins because it was important to the overall plot and because i care about the characters even if they’re not directly involved in the main storyline (besides the scenes of eleven at school those were lowkey boring asab)
Except Will, he hasn't done anything relevant since season 3
That psycho 1 is played by a good actor. I liked it when he said, "I'm always number 1." or when he told 11, "You're just like me, but with two 1s". That's one helluva plotwist.
That last part where Vecna said "imma numba one, yahoo!" Was amazing
Maybe 11 was the real stranger things we made along the way
Ain’t 1 the dude from mortal bones?
When he said "We are number one" I cried

The basketball team getting the adults believing the satanic cult crap is actually pretty realistic. The satanic panic was a huge phenomenon back in the 80's early 90's .
i thought it was a metaphor for the red scare and mccarthyism
But if there's a monster lifting people into the air and bending their bodies, how is a satanic cult unrealistic for the situation?
@@sj_leee4995 Nah there was a time back then (actually I think a few times) when the public and media genuinely equated playing D&D with Satanism/Witchcraft. That was unfortunately very real lol.
@@sj_leee4995 maaybe but the church had way more power in america at that point and there was a weird push that DnD was satan worship or witchcraft. they tried the same thing with like pokemon and yugioh later on but they didnt have the same pull already by that time.
The main aspect here is that vague concept of "popularity" and how shitty douchebags are popular and wield it like a weapon. Just look at El's storyline's beginning. Despite not snitching, she's accused of being a snitch by the popular girl. Later on, the popular girl essentially snitches on her (and let's just be clear: in an assault case, that's what you do) and that's just the way it goes. It's the ludicrous "one rule for thee, another for me" mentality entitled privileged people have and it's infuriating.
I loved when Eleven said "things are about to get stranger" when fighting Vecna. Truly a masterpiece
Finally.
The stranger thing.

The adults behaving irrationally was an actual thing in American history. It was called the Satanic Panic and it was just as hare-brained and dumb as it sounds. So, too, were the people who believed in it. I don't consider it bad writing, I consider it a satire on how gullible and skittish Americans are over shit we know nothing about. I loved how the 7th episode played out with that, just as the dots were starting to connect the reveal in show would happen, then of course the out of the blue twist. I think there was like 3 different plot twists for just that one guy.
I think the funniest part of season four was how Mike just didn’t express any emotions. He looked vaguely confused the entire time even when he was screaming to El that he loved her.
FINALLY! SOMEONE ELSE SEES IT!
These past couple seasons I have not been impressed by Finn's performance at all, and I can't tell if it's because of his acting skills or because the writers made his character emotionally awkward and unable to express himself.

Then Morbius gave him the Morbium and said "Let's Morb those Morbers"
thank u for making me laugh out my nose
They didn't need to just rip off that guitar riff from Power Rangers tho, that was really jarring for a show set in the '80s
Don't forget the part where Eleven jumps and says "I want eleven things" and morbs eleven stranger things to become the strangest thing, Morbius
Yeah, too bad he was repelled by a fat bald dude with a glowing spear
I re-watched the other seasons before this one and the darker tone was absolutely what they needed to do. And it was a major risk too--I've heard some people quit watching it (including my mom) because it was too brutal or scary compared to the lighthearted 80s parody violence of the other seasons

I know it hurts that that scene doesn't get the attention it deserves because there was everything else along with it.
i feel like it would've made a lot more sense especially for this season because of how long the episodes are - every episode is essentially a whole movie
I really hope they do that for the final season, It was confirmed there is going to be a S5 so I think It would be great if they did that, expecially since It's the last season so It will give people time to digest and talk about each episode when they come out.

It's been a long time since I've cried. And I've never cried to a show before. But Dear Billy hit a personal nerve that I could relate to. This season was fantastic.
In my opinion the saddest scene is either Lucas mourning over Max or Alexei's death,Alexei lived in the Soviet union and his life probably was hell, you could see how happy he was,on top of that Murray finally had a friend who he could get along, and now he's all alone once again

A huge shout out to the composers of the series to deliver absolutely mind blowing music. Like holy shit the music and sound design makes everything feel so connected even with jumps in storylines.
The best episode this season has to be 4 because of THAT ending. The acting, build up, visuals, editing, message and even the song chosen easily had it on par with Hopper’s letter as one of the most emotional moments of the show.

That’s great to hear! I Have yet to Watch Season 4. (Currently rewatching the previous seasons). I remember not really enjoying season 3 because of the overdrawn humor. It was the weakest season because of that imo.
and even still had me breaking into a chuckle most of the time
They still manage to insert cringe humor here and there, which is slightly annoying.
@@Slug_Boots argyle slander??? L
Good points about the weekly/binge release strategies. I never thought about that much but you're totally right.
When eleven stuck her hand out and yelled at the glibboglorb i felt that
There was a fight scene, the shootout, that was done practically and in one take, that was beautifully done. At a technical level it was literally one of the best shootouts I've ever seen in a TV show
That shootout was fantastic. The agent really held his own, especially protecting three teens from getting shot. And in only one shot.
Literally.
I don't think Stranger things can be considered TV considering the average budget each episode this season is 30 million dollar.
it's fucking worth the money, because this season was great
@@soumil5794 Episode 7 was literally a movie.
@@jiro110 IT WAS! Given the length and production level. And I think episode 9 is going to be even better given the length which is almost 2 and half hours and how amazing this season has been
I also loved the fact they didn’t pull a Hollywood where they have infinite bullets. We can see them reloading and everything
I think the fact that Vecna can actually talk to you is so much more terrifying than a monster just screaming at you like the demogorgan and flesh monster thing.
I really like the way the Demogorgon moves around and stuff, but it's still a fairly generic monster design, so yeah Vecna being a more intelligent villain is really nice, gives him a lot more screen presence and menace (accidental rhyme :P)
The villains have basically gotten more and more intelligent with each season
@@WiloPolis03 yea pretty much, this season’s horror is on another level now as well.
Gotta say, fucking AWFUL idea to watch that shit at 3 AM when your name is Max.
@@godnotavailable2094 oh God yea 😂
The Mind-Flayer spoke briefly through Billy in Season 3.
Can't wait for next season I finally binge watched it all
I used to like the ‘Binge model’ but I agree Arcane realize that they wanted to release at a weekly pace but that wouldn’t work for the story for how they wanted it to play out so I like how they compromised
this season was definitely one of the stranger things seasons of all time
It's not the final season
I got a stroke reading that
It's not the final season

The end of episode 4 and 7 have to be some of the most well done scenes out of the show. The music and sound effects, visuals it was all so well done.
Yeah except some goofy ahh visuals💀
@@YTM100 the plane 😭
u r 100% correct, some of the best scenes in a show ever, its great
ep 7 was the shittiest episode of st, from S1's eldritch horrors to some generic psycho killer shit with such a generic monolouge you've definitely heard it more than once before
@@lucteojx They already did pure Eldritch horror, now they mixed it with the hysteria of slashes and Satanic panic. They're building on ideas dude.
All that being said, everyone is entitled to their opinions and I am just respectfully disagreeing
1: it’s not the last season 2: you didn’t even wait for the second volume
i've got high hopes for season 5 since it's confirmed that it'll focus more on will, and i'd love to see that instead of him being on the side after being saved
It’s not the last season, they’re penning a season 5. It’s insane how the last episode bought answered a ton of mysteries built up not just that season, but almost answers questions we’ve had from the very beginning
The way they tied in how it all started with Dr Brenner and Victor creel was awesome

So sad!

@@solo3976 lmfaoooo
Wait really?
They didn't even say it was his birthday. The show forgot about it
I definitely agree that this is the best season. It's just amazing. I was really disappointed with season 3 but this one blew me away. I cannot wait for part two to release.
I don't think this show's ever had a bad season, but I must say, the first three got progressively worse imo. I am just so unbelievably happy that they broke that trend with season 4 and delivered quite possibly the best season of them all.
I agree. Season 3 was good, but a tad to cartoonish and silly. I honestly have very few issues with Season 4. I loved all the different plotlines, even though some of them weren't as exciting or investing as others. I can't wait for the last two parts.
@@mrknowhere6457 Agreed. Even though it was good, Season 3 felt a little corny and childish for my taste. I really thought they were running out of ideas with this show, so much so that I really stopped caring about it and almost didn't watch Season 4 at all. Let me tell you, my head was fucking blown. It reignited that same excitement I had for the show as a middle schooler watching Season 1.
Only minor criticism I have is how music saves people. Also explaining vecnas back round. Is it not scarier having him be mysterious. I guess they sort of have to. Far better than previous seasons all in all tbf.
@@conorking3579 i actually agree with how they explained vecnas background. It ruined the mystery, yes, but eventually people would have gotten over the mystery and wasted a great villain. I think vecna is my favorite villain so far, took a great concept and made it greater
I disagree. I thought season two is as good or better than one but season three was fun but eh
i was shocked at how much scarier this season was compared to the previous seasons. it actually kept me on the edge of my seat and kept me interested in the show.
I'm convinced they were able to go darker since the actors are no longer so young. Part of why the various kids you see dead are very PG-13 dead. Disfigured, sure, but still mostly blood free apart from a bit here and there.
@@TuffMelon First episodes ending was disturbing af.
I was actually a little scared this season. That's saying something. Other seasons were just tense.
It is more adult for sure, they aren't kids any more. Finally. Maybe taking a lesson from stories like Harry Potter that the kids can now handle some scary shit.
it’s because the audience has grown a lot since the first season
One thing I don't like is how much this show throws flashbacks in your face when it references something from a past episode
I like how he says "I've gotta say this is the best season of stranger things" and I totally agree with all the stuff he is talking about in this video :)
Normally I would think that so many characters would harm a story more than help it, but here it works because each character is fleshed out and adds to the story. Stranger Things is one of the few things that can get away with this.
As I'm more on the anime side of media, it's very similar to Durarara. I thought the overload of characters throughout the whole city would kill the show, but it just worked so well
There are so many likeable characters in Stranger Things, credit to the writers and casting.
Character over-saturation is a real problem when done in movies. You can't expect an audience to care about numerous characters that see < 10 minutes of screen time. It also makes you care less about the antagonist when the limited runtime of a movie is split too many ways.
Well i'd think this, but then i think how the mike part makes the show kinda worse
@@Minded-.- well kinda, i felt it was much worse in this season
That’s exactly what happened in season three. There were too many characters for the story to handle and it became clumsy under its own weight.
One of the rarest moments Netflix hasn’t ruined a whole show the more seasons they put out. Stranger things gets better and better.
... The second, and third seasons did not follow this model. Ergo, none of them do. Only 4 trumps 1 mechanically. So that is unequivocally wrong.
@@davemccombs that’s your opinion :)

I can’t believe Stan Lee made a cameo on this season. That scene where he fought off a demogorgon to Save Dustin really hit .
Can we talk about the fact that the Most Replayed part starts to peak with Charlie playing with the dogs on the mattress? Wholesome af.

Vecna almost lost me until I connected the dots with Eleven's backstory.
There's got to be something with the Mind Flayer's spider like appearance and Vecna's connection to black widows.
YO IM JUST REALIZING THAT NOW, when the Mind Flayer “tentacles” connects with Vecna in one of the scenes it looks like Vecna is a spider- hmm I hope they clear this up in the final two episodes.
That's a cool theory! Finally someone in this comment section that had something interesting to say. Nice.
Dustin said, the mind flayer is the mastermind and Vecna is his general. I'm curious to see if this is true, or if Vecna has something to do with the mind flayer's appearance.

i love how it’s titled final season yet we’re getting a fifth season
The transition to the helix ad was seamless
The basketball scene in the first episode is supposed to mirror the DnD scene that plays with it and I think it foreshadows the fight with Vecna in the finale because it shows both teams of players duking it out till the very end and gambling everything on one ballsy play that would mean either resounding victory or absolute catastrophe. My opinion.
Interesting
The DnD games mirroring the conflict in the rest of the season has been a major theme of the show since the beginning so I think you're right
That's a cool theory
I think when they where talking about how they were going to deafest the boss in episode 1, I think that is what is going to happen in the boss fight
Kinda unsettling since a lot of players died on the campaign D:
The 3 year wait was definitely worth it, the best and darkest season in my opinion. 001 actor was so unbelievably good.
Dont read my name 😑 😑
The 001 actor got me hooked honestly, I was kinda rooting for him 😅
Vecna’s character became the best in the show imo only in one season. The foreshadowing was nice and the reveal literally made me get up from my seat
haven't see it yet though I am watching it as i'm commenting right now😆
@@kozukitonio740 fr cuz when you first meet him as a worker in the lab he seems like a person who would be either the nicest person you could meet or a complete creep.
Ready for the Stranger Things MOVIE that is the final episode. Good lord. Could not be more excited.
I love the part when Hopper yelled "THIS IS STRANGER THINGS!!!" and kicked Vecna into a Spartan well.
The way they portrayed depression, anxiety and other mental health issues this season was phenomenal. Just wanted to say that, episode 4 specifically felt so powerful. Max getting freed from Vecna with her friend's help along with Kate Bush blasting in the background was literally so badass.
She ain’t free yet, just escaped once. The music keeps her free for now apparently
right, max was a bit suicidal there like she was accepting her death and writing letters for the people in her life. and chrissy, people thought shes pregnant but the fact she was bulimic and her trauma being her abusive mother who always bodyshame her.
That scene is so symbolic too.
(A bit of a trigger warning!)
Max = Someone who suffers from depression
Vecna = *The* depression - the one that possesses her mind and makes her suffocate until she’d eventually want to kill herself.
Max’s friends and the music = Max’s escape. They are the one thing that keeps Max going.
I don’t wanna over explain myself, but just think about it in a psychological and metaphorical way. Max chooses to go towards the light - her friends and favorite song - instead of staying with Vecna and his corrupted mind. A life vs death situation.
That scene is the best of season 4, I get goosebumps each time I watch it
@David Konevky I loved that scene for two reasons:
1. It's such a powerful scene, and shows just how strong the bond is between the kids; even in the face of absolute terror.
2. Obviously they didn't, but if they had to kill off Max I couldn't think of a better way. I'm still glad that she survived with the help of her friends but for me, either scenario would have been great.
“Dear Billy” was probably one of my favorite episodes in the entire series
That whole Max sequence was fucking gold. I agree with you.
One of the best if not best, scenes I’ve ever seen in life action television. Everything was just executed extremely well
all of max’s scenes, the gun fight, creels backstory, and hopper blowing them mfs up made that episode packed with peak
That episode is top 3 for me.
Kakyoin coming back for a cameo to talk to his little sister was a welcome surprise I thought it would just be reused footage
