Merry Christmas. I just got the kiwi audio strap; very nice. Can you confirm that this strap + controllers etc, will fit in the Navitech case?
Looks comfy.
😂😂😂
Review Void Ninja please! Appreciate it.
Hey Al, given the design of the new audio strap and the new battery strap, I would wager there will be a battery strap with audio on the roadmap. I have been using the DAS since I got my Quest 2 in 2020 with a battery back attached via the AMVR bracket. I would definitely be open to an all-in-one battery and descent audio kiwi strap. Only question is timing. If it takes them too much longer to come out with, I may be looking for a similar strap for the Quest 3 instead.
I have the DAS with a 10000mah battery velcroed to the back.
I really like that folding thing as a glasses user.
I've been using the DAS for about a year. Its comfortable but the audio is just ok. Thinking about getting the Kiwi battery strap and the soundcore VR P10 wireless earbuds.
I like that the DAS has a bit of spring so you can pull it over your glasses.
@@VRCauldron Yeah. I successfully get in there with no smudges probably 90% of the time.
Do you think they will make a more compact case for it ? . does it fit in the cheaper hard case ?
There is a 20% discount coupon on Amazon here in the US should be there for UK as well
I'll admit that Kiwi Design Audio Strap does look good Al, but as I have a Mohawk, the top padded bit would be a pain. I still have the Bestorx one and the audio is acceptable on it. When I cut my hair, I'll change then, lol.
Btw, does the Bestorx headset fit in that Navitech case you mentioned?
Thanks for the great content as usual.
The bestorx does indeed fit into the navitech. I'm yet to find something that doesn't fit in that case. Oh yeah and the padded bit not being removable would mean you'd have a flappy tail to go with your mohawk.
Heey VRCauldron. I know that this comment does not relate to this video (Still debating whether or not I wanna go with the new Kiwi battery strap, wait for a possible future 'audio+battery Kiwi' strap, or just go with the BoboVR M2 Plus battery strap :p), but I was wondering if you could help me in regards to clarifying something regarding the Quest 2 and the build-in microphones.
The Quest 2 seemingly has '2' microphones on the underside of the headset. One on the right side near the volume controls, and another on the left side of the headset.
What I'm desperately trying to figure out... is if the Quest 2 actually uses/is capable of using the 'left' microphone to record your voice if you try to record a video 'in' the headset.
When I start a recording, and then cover the 'right' microphone-hole, no voice-audio is being recorded at all. Yet if I do the same for the 'left' microphone-hole... nothing changes.
I'm hoping that maybe you'd know whether or not I'm thus dealing with a defective microphone on the left side, or if the Quest 2 only records your voice through the 'right' microphone. I'm aware that for your videos you use a different microphone for easier editing, but was hoping that you'd have experience with the build-in microphones as well, and thus could help me in my search for an answer.
Soo... On your Quest-2 headset... If you are to record something 'in' the headset, using the build-in microphones.... Do 'both' of the mics record your voice, or does only the 'right' mic record your voice? (Does covering the right microphone result in 'no' voice-audio being recorded, or does the left microphone still record your voice in that case?)
Anyway.. Keep up the great work I'd say. ^w^
That's a good question. Next time I record audio I'll cover them up one at a time and do some other tests and have a look at the recorded waveform. There is a chance though that recording works differently than in game chat where only one is used maybe? I'll take a look.
@@VRCauldron If you could, it would be greatly appreciated.
I had to return a previous headset because the microphone was recording 'way' too softly in games and in the home-menu (which I attributed to the fact that the left sided mic didn't seem to record my voice), and although it feels like my current headset records my voice more clearly... it still doesn't seem to record through the left mic.
So yea... I'm now second-guessing everything. O_o
Will the strap fit the og Oculus case without the speakers? Thanks for the great video
You mean take the headphones off the strap? Or disconnect it like I did with the destek case?
With only taking the headphones off
@@LilBigfootOverlanding i could be wrong but they don't seem to be removable.
3:34, Bobo M1 isn't like that anymore, at least the Bobo Plus.
I really don't understand why they didn't make a strap with audio and battery...
I bought a Kiwi Battery Elite strap based on your preliminary review with a Kiwi case that claimed to fit the strap but you have to remove the rear padding and it still doesn’t fit without a squash and a squeeze. Not impressed that I have the best head strap and no case to store it in…
Sorry to hear that. I haven't tried Kiwi's case but that's weird that it doesn't fit their own strap.
@@VRCauldron I have also tried the Bobo VR C2 case that is supposed to fit, but it doesn’t have space for the controllers in the position they are supposed to go and the strap itself.
@@charliesayno9942 I'll take a look, I'm sure the strap fit into the bobo case easily.
how good is it compared to the g333?
Not tried those but they're as good as all my other headphones/headsets. I don't have super expensive stuff but I use a Hyper X headset and Skullcandy headphones and it's as good as them.
If only they have one that has both the battery and the audio
Soon hopefully
