- One of our most frequently asked tech support questions goes something like this: "Hey I've got this old speaker and I'm pretty sure it's an Eminence. Can you tell me what the power rating and other specs are?" In this video, Eminence Speaker Tech Anthony "Big Tony" Lucas points out how to find the information on the speaker he will need in order to help you.
I emailed them about my old Carvin speakers some years ago and Anthony was super nice and very helpful.
This is helpful, even 8 years later. I found out that I have some Eminence Squarebacks from February 1977, in an old Randall 6x10 cabinet!
Very helpful. Had an Eminence speaker from 10+ years ago with no specific model/impedance info on the back of it. Pulled back the rubber ring and found the info on the grey label. Ordering up another BP102!

Hi Jose. Parts Express offers the charts and components for a proper capacitor. If you have an electronic crossover, you don’t need a capacitor. Just set the low-pass and high-pass on the crossover. You should even be able to control the slope.
Hi Max. That is a custom design specifically voiced for that Jet City cab. We really don't have anything comparable in our product line.

The Beta-12LTA will work with our 2-way crossovers. You probably want to use the PX2:5K0. You can certainly use a lower crossover point, if preferred, but it defeats the purpose of the woofer’s extended range.

I have an old EMC branded 2x12 cabinet. I have absolutely no information on it, other than the fact that EMC was from Ohio and that my cab is most likely from the early 70s.
I pulled the speakers to look at them and see if there was any information that I could find. They sound ok, not incredible, but not bad. A little woody and undefined for my taste. And they have a construction that looks very similar to the photo you showed at minute 1:09. The magnets are tiny on both of them. and they have the numbers 26156 on the top, and 2857332 on the bottom. There is no other marking of any kind elsewhere.
I wonder if I should just replace these for new speakers and toss this away, or if I should keep them just in case they are of some use to anyone.
So I have an Ampeg SVT 8x10 cabinet. The speakers has the code 67-7920. That means the speakers were made in the 20 week of 1979?

I have a pair of vintage 70s Acoustic model 832 pa2112m 2-way floor wedges. the 12" speaker is a square back magnet with this number inked on the magnet assembly - 130064 67-8045 it also has a white voice coil cover. can you please tell me what the ohm would be? Can you guys make a tutorial on how to wire a coaxial speaker with the Eminence PX2 crossover, also will the Eminence BETA-12-LTA and PX2 crossover work together? I'm not sure which version of the PX2 I would need.

I have a 1980 Eminence Squareback from a Crate amplifier. Can anyone tell me the tonal characteristic of these speakers? For instance basically Fender American or Marshal British sounding?
I recently picked up a Sam Ash speaker enclosure. The model and serial on label are unreadable. It contains a 12 inch, square magnet speaker printed with 12KPGP8H and 67-7546. It also has two round unlabeled tweeters. Any info you could provide on speaker power handling and frequency response would be greatly appreciated.

I have this speaker labeled Eminence EGTR SA1712-8 791 2009 6-12-127 07 44D 0256 I would like to know about the technical data on this Speaker so I can put it into a guitar amplifier. If anyone can help it will be a great help. Watts Rating etc. It is an 8 ohm. 12 Inch Looks Like an Eminence too.
