Chris Birdsong had some videos of fitting charger quarters a couple of years ago and he had to use a big ass hammer and a 4X4 block of wood to get quarter to get in shape with the door.

I’d love to be able to do more uploads, it’s a lot of work between going to school, working full time and then trying to do quality work on the car and now rush anything for a UA-cam video. I have some ideas for more videos this next year, we’ll see how it plays out👍
Good stuff! Your video production and explanation is fantastic and very watchable. My job is in television production, my life long hobby is Mopar. Thanks for a great watch.
Projects looking super. You continue with the WOW factor every video with your skills and eye for detail. She's not going to a 50 footer. Merry Christmas!

@@camracing looks good so far. Too bad the fenders are as rough as they are. Maybe you could neutralize the rust and use fiberglass to build up the inside for structure and to fill some of the fender
That’s a awesome Christmas present to yourself. Great work and approach. I have a complete car and sometimes don’t know where to start. I I know is if you don’t ever start, you won’t ever finish…
Nice progress on your car. Your attention to detail is unmatched! Great video as always. Keep hitting it and you will soon be moving on from sheet metal work onto putting it back into driving condition. Merry Christmas to you and your family!
Wow just stumbled onto this channel. I can’t wait to see this beauty being worked on. Are you building a custom frame?? And how do you know what dimensions to use?? This looks awesome so far!!!
Thank you. I will be building my own chassis, yes. I started on one around this time last year but I may switch routes to a full tube chassis. As for the dimensions, it started out as a complete car so I mounted it to the table and took a lot of measurements off of pickup points. Old Chrysler manuals and forums have helped with them as well.
@@camracing after asking my question I went back in time to binge watch the series. Can’t wait to see the finished project. Enjoying the content. New subscriber as well.
I love AMD metal as well… the bad part is they never have anything in stock and it takes forever to get it back in inventory (I thought covid was over)?? It’s frustrating trying to complete my ‘68 Charger when there are no quarter panel patches ever available….😢
@@camracing fair enough, sir! Really awesome project. I feel this is the future for all but the rarest of the rare muscle cars. Those deserve to be preserved in factory form. As for the rest? I’m not sure if this has been done or if you’re set on the net goal of it but it would be BA see this mated to the newer chassis so you can use the current gen charger drivetrain/interior and graph it into a convertible style while steering away from just using the challenger stuff.
@@camracing nice. I've always been a Mopar fan n would love to do something similar but finding this in the UK is very difficult n expensive n importing from the US is always a risk, and again, very expensive, especially for large body panels! I just get my fix from watching Graveyard Carz lol 🤣
Aftermarket parts are never plug and play they fit close to what you need but you HAVE to work them always, good luck I hope you get it all done the way you want it to be...
Great work as usual man. AMD is the best out there but it's not perfect. You're going to have to cut stretch, shrink and manipulate it to get good fitment. Like the quarter extensions. My 69 pieces fit the original quarter ends perfectly but not the New AMD quarters I have.
Did you sell your built model cars? I have heard people do that but not sure what kind of prices they bring. I’ve had many many years building models. Just curious about it if anyone knows.
Great respect for what your doing, I would be in a full panic attack mode if I was you. It appears you will have to base all your frame and chassis measurements off the external skin. If you stuck with stock replacement parts you would have a solid rolling chassis by now
That's awesome but me personally I would use every part I could when it came to exterior body panels that did not include the rear quarter panels or trunk or rear bumper to make my own equivalent of a modern day charger and make it look like it should have instead of that hideous 4 door

How the hell do you have the balls to do this while so young? Like how did you learn all this stuff already? Truly impressive dude!
