    Man that’s a good trick because mine always come out dry and it’s so frustrating.. Thanks so much and can’t
    wait for your next one!

      Thanks Joey! Yes, the onions pressed through help a lot. The timing of the cook is also important - turkey just isn't very forgiving to any overcooking as well. Next week will be a fun one, thanks for tuning in!

    This is very similar to Turkish kofte in terms of the ingredients.
    Onion definitely improves the flavors and nice idea to take turkey burgers to the next level 👍

    Just cooked the Turkey burgers as specified on my allotment, at 1500hrs Sunday 21st, first time I have ever made Turkey burgers period and these are lovely and moist, followed your recipe just made 1lb so 4 burgers and doubled up on everything. Your a superstar J , they are fantastic, perfect cooking times 👌 Kept them at 200 degrees Celsius. Also used half a red onion as it was in the fridge 👍

    Great video J, loved the "pain in the arse" quote made me laugh out loud. Fantastic tiip to keep moist, will be making these tomorrow for my two girls. Ty. Just one thing when you say medium heat is that around 200 Celsius?

      Haha, well it is a bit of a pain but worth it. Let me know how it goes. When I refer to my heat settings like "medium" or "medium high" I mean that's where I set my gas knob. But yes, so on my grill, medium is a touch over 200C. For turkey burgers I usually cook a touch higher than that, so between medium and high which on my Q runs around 215C. Hope that helps, let me know how it goes!

    Thanks for sharing that tip, dryness has always been a drawback for me on ground turkey

      Thanks as always for watching! Yes, this trick will give you a little bit more leeway.

    Thats very good. Do you have any advice for adding moisture if one doesnt like garlic or onions?

    • @ChicagoGriller
      @ChicagoGriller  3 роки тому

      Hi Quatez, thanks for watching. Hmmm, I haven't thought about that or tried any alternatives. I may need to experiment around.

    I need to know when you say ' high heat' or 'medium' etc, what temperature should we be aiming for. Please advice.

      Hi Mel, thanks for watching. When I say high that I mean the gas knob is on high, and when medium it’s in the middle, etc. I don’t have exact grill temperatures for those settings but high on mine usually runs around 450-500F and then medium is usually around 400. Low is between 300-350.

    You could use a food processor. That's what I do. (Edit: for the garlic and onions)
