Glad to see the content on this game coming from you. I tried to play the game myself after playing a lot of xcom 2 but had a hard time getting into phoenix point so I was like ehh I’ll just put it down until I watch syken play it and learn from him lol
The game is not very user friendly at the beginning and certainly has a couple of quirks to get used to. It hides it strategy behind layers of choices - many of which are not very good. Once you analyze it and find out core strategies that work, it becomes a fun experience. That being said, the game is very micro management intensive.
I played this on game pass for probably 18 hours max and I'm not good at it yet but when I finally decide to buy it I'm coming to your videos to help me get better.
Lovely to see you have a shot at this one. Good luck! Just a constructive comment that the sound level of your voice seemed a little low in this one. It might be louder background music/sound, but it might be worth looking at for when the run starts.
3:53 I prefer Destiny III over Fury-2, because an extra rocket or two are nice but you have Rebuke for your artillery needs, whereas Destiny with it's infinite accuracy fills a unique niche of point and click precise face removal. 10:33 A techpriest! I like those, and try to have one for each of my teams, though they usually sport the Judgement head because Instill Frenzy is insanely powerful, best buff in the game by far. Also, if you can't decide if you want Watcher or Scorcher take both, it's not like you are limited to one per technician. Hell, take 4 if you are so inclined, and build a fort of infinite dakka to make Pandorans wish they've never been hatched. 12:24 Redeemer has it's niche as a way to stack obscene amounts of virus on bigger pandoran bugs from point blank range. Meaning that you don't need a priest to operate it - anyone who can move in and out fast can do that with the way accuracy works in PP. My priests are usually cross-classed with technicians, or failing that, snipers so i can arm them with something that does actual damage instead of a silly syringe gun.
Lots of viewers have actually asked for me to look into that … I tell you what - once the playthrough is completely aired, I will include it in a channel update and see if there is enough interest.

Sometimes the sound levels in OBS are being a bit messed up, should be okay in the actual campaign though.
