I'm not gonna lie, I'm a teenager and when I was actually 10 and played with CoD's snipers I was amazed at how it instantly kills people. I'm 16 now and through years of call of duty I learned that snipers are a cheap way to get kills especially like this. Black ops 2 is one of my favorite games but these quickscopers are taking over and messing up the experience for many people.
But why would you hack just to win a match in CoD?

So Thunder, I've made the transition from sniping to using mainly SMG's and AR's and I have to say I LOVE it. The gunfights are better, and you actually need to put more than one bullshit bullet into someone to kill them. I am dominantly a FFA player, and I've been crapping on everyone (including snipers). And they get SO pissed when I win the game. "Go play league, stop using 'REG-guns', you suck, get a life." Hell, I even got DDoS'ed offline because I killed last! All I've got to say is that sniping needs to go back to the way it was in Black Ops 1 (even World at War was balanced in sniping). Snipers have the most OP guns in the entire game, yet they get pissed when you out-gun them and start threatening your LIFE. Some of you snipers need to get the controllers out of your ass and grow up. I will laugh my ass off at the day CoD actually makes a game where you have to SNIPE and not do this quick scoping bullshit.

BombedOut ok it's obvious that you're a cancerous quickscoper. Did you even watch this video? So after looking at that shit, you're honestly gonna sit here and say snipers are NOT op???? C'mon man don't be delusional. They have no (or minimal) mobility penalty for carrying a heavy weapon unlike the huge penalty for lmgs. The ballista has a very fast ads and fire rate, coupled with a one hit kill at any range. Add in the fact that the bullet doesn't even have to actually hit the player sometimes and you still get a kill. Face it, the snipers are unbalanced and OVERPOWERED!

It depends on the game mode that you play as well. There seem to be fewer hackers playing TDM than any of the objective-based games. I would like to see Activision and the COD developers do more to repair the hacks/mods/bugs of previous COD games since there is still a demand to play these games.

I love quickscoping, its so much more fun than running around with an SMG. If the snipers are so OP in Black Ops 2, try getting hit by a bullet from a sniper in real life and tell me its "OP". as a sniper in black ops 2 i can tell you he wasnt hacking, that is one of the most well-known spawnkill spots on nuketown. I hit that spot and a few other spawn spots on nuketown pretty often, they are easiest to learn in a 1v1
Let me get this message clear out there and stand by my boy Thunder...snipers are indeed OP. You go into any game on BO2 now and I can guarantee at least 60% of the players are using a sniper rifle. Why? Because they KNOW they are overpowered, essentially no skill-based, and give you easy kills and high score per minutes. Reg guns can be powerful yes...but when you are exploiting the aim assist and using the Ballista like its an assault rifle and dominating...yeah there's a problem. This is why BO2 is still popular...because you can quickscope/trickshot like nothing. I love Treyarch, but they definitely need to fix this BS in this year's COD. It feels like gaming has changed since then for the worse and i miss them days, Im 22 years old now and back then i would play almost all day and not get bored now i get on the ps4 and play some AW and i only play a few matches and get off cuz i get extremely bored.. I am 12, hate snipers, love World at War and Call of Duty 4 more than any other CoD...I guess I am not the majority sadly.
Try playing HardCore on PC (aka nukejacked which is nuketown and hijacked 24/7). And that guy who "wall hacked" you knows the spawns. The PreX' clan on PC on (especially on nuketown) knows the spawns left and right and we get called hackers. I mean I joined in around November of 2014, and I've never been dubbed "hacker", but I know my clan doesn't hack.
My sniper-counter; Target Finder LMG with FMJ and Extended Mags, C4, and EMP nades. YT-sniper fairies rarely stick around the whole game.
Vonderhaar has two options: make sniping like it was in BO1, and save Call of Duty...or make sniping like BO2...and save Thunder, myself, and everyone else $60, and kill this franchise once and for all.

To be honest in this video you had some old man hand syndrome going on for a few kills. Not every death by a sniper is the sniper being OP. Also, you were playing on Nuketown, what were you expecting to happen? Even a reg gun player would be spawn trapping you, which I do all the time on Nuketown using AR's/SMG's. It's bound to happen because it is the style of this game. Call of Duty is a spawn trap game. If they were spawn trapping you hard with reg guns you would've called them no life nerds that need to get out of their basement. I agree that snipers are OP as hell but not every death is because they're OP.
One of many many many reasons I don't play Call of Duty games is community. Sure every community has bad apples, but the call of duty community is the worst of the worst. Finding exploits and finding ways to make themselves seem good in the stat column is the heart of it. Kids do what they do because they wanna tell all of their middle school friends they have a 3.0 k/d. It isn't about having fun, it's about making sniping montages,and stat bragging. These kids don't play other shooters because they can't do it there. Ever seen a Call of Duty sniper on Battlefield? They get mad and call the game shit because there is bullet drop and bunch of other stats that changes up the weapons. Simplicity is what makes Call of Duty, Call of Duty.

Nuketown spawns are stupid-predictable and the map only has a few open lines of sights, but a lot of choke points, so it's a YT-sniper's wet dream. Sad, but true. :(

I understand your frustration with snipers, I used to have it too. I am also aware this was a rant and you may or may not have meant everything you said. But come on thunder, I must've heard this same commentary from you atleast 20 times. You upload only a few times a week so every upload should be relatively unique, commentary wise. And on the the sniper balance discussion, snipers should not be like they were in bo1. Sniping is bo1 is putting yourself at a extreme disadvantage. Your bullet rarely goes straight. This, paired with cods terrible hit ditection makes for a terrible experience. I do believe sniper were a bit too easy to use in bo2 though. I think cod 4 snipers were usable, but not too much of a extreme advantage or disadvantage. Maybe my opinion is a lil biased based on the fact that I spend most of my time on cod sniping now, but not so long ago I was like you.
This is why I play kill confirmed, barely any snipers and if there are any, they're getting blown up by my streaks. If I run into a lobby like this I pull out my anti-sniper lmg target finder. People hate the target finder but I love it only because it's the only thing that counters snipers

Snipers arent OP, its people who needs a challenge, or its people who only have a sniping playstyle.... I only use knives, because Reggunning was way to easy, sniping was harder, but still pretty easy, so knifing is the best way for me to play. It isnt fun playing cod without a challenge. Its just that the community is so fucking large and strong that u run into them all the time, but since u dont know how to play against them, u get shit on. I never get owned snipers, only by reggunners. If u sneak around the map, u can come behind the snipers, and take shoot them in the back. Easy af.
