This commentary right here in this video is exactly why I sub'd to you a few yrs. ago Thunder. You are using the big youtube voice you have to promote change in the game most of us use to love playing. I could hear the passion, conviction and fire in your voice for a properly made cod. 2263275electro There is a reason CUAV and EMP Systems existed. It's just hardwired shouldn't counter the EMP just like how ghost doesn't counter the VSAT. If you EMP a vsat, it won't destroy it, but you cannot use it.

I agree with you and it's sad that even though they try to cater to the pros none of the pros actually like the new changes like taking out the best search map and adding a new map with a couple of weeks until the biggest tournament of the year. I think Black Ops 2 had a fun factor in my opinion but they also balanced competitive at the same time with league play.

I know you aren't supposed to have all the solutions but if you are going to make a general statement like "bring the fun back into cod," you need to have some answers. How? Some people would argue that AW is a fun spin off of a cod game. Making a "fun" game isn't easy, especially now that people look for the bad things in games rather than the good.
You have no right to demand such things from Thunder when you aren't supplying them yourself either.

Powerful streaks, well-known weapons (AKs, mp5s, etc), engaging voice actors, high quality background music, pro perks, stopping power, a couple new game modes, well designed maps, and weapon variants.
How about a game that actually functions properly. Not a $60 beta with very few new features.

The main question is, what is "fun" now in CoD? I mean I know some people find it fun to sit in a corner all game trying to get some high killstreak they can't get any other way. Some people find it fun to try to get as many Captures in Domination, and some people just find the gun on gun gameplay without killstreaks fun. CoD is never going to be fun for everyone and thats just where it is now. There are just so many different styles of gamers that play CoD now (Ex. The "Pros", the Obj players, the slayers, the killstreak lovers/haters, etc.) that its just a toss up of who they want to cater to.
The main issue with catering to the casual players, is that I am sure the devs know thats not where all of their money lies. I mean they know that the average gamer who plays every now and again aren't going to buy the Season Pass every year, buy the camos, buy the other Micro DLC, etc. However they know who will and thats who they cater to. They cater to the fans of MLG. The ones who run the CoD Champs 2015 camo on their BALs and ASM1s, the ones who run Optic Gaming logos as their Emblem, etc. I know there are a few other groups they cater a bit to but its mostly the MLG scene. Those fans are the ones who mostly play only CoD, the ones who will listen to whatever their favorite pro player says. The casual gamer is the one who will play CoD now and then, play Battlefield, or any other game they want to. And the Devs are smart enough to know where their money is.
Scorestreaks in my mind are key that's why I love Call of Duty, getting a VSAT then a lodestar or K9 unit not much of another feeling like it, scorestreaks in the last two games have sucked, competitive players really need to stick to ranked/league play though, the SBMM is bullshit I don't play Advanced Warfare much because every game I have to play like I'm playing for a mil
CoD before such an obviously favored pro scene still sold tens of millions of copies. Sure, eSports is definitely a huge success with games like LoL and CS:GO, but I don't see why it's so necessary in this series, which has always been targeted towards the casual gamer. Take away the casual factor in these games, and you lose the majority of your fanbase. The ones who stick around may pay more for micro-transactions and other DLC, but it's not enough to compensate for the massive numbers of players you've driven away with SBMM bullshit and pro support. BTW people who run the Champion camo on BALs and ASM1s all day are some of the sweatiest fucking nerds I've ever seen.

Its TheHypeTrain And ASM1 Magnitudes with Advanced Rifling, Quickdraw Grip, and Foregrip. Absolutely sweaty as hell.
Shrek Salad lol speaking of this friendly conversation we're having I just got in a game of domination on AW and decided to use the IMR and at the end of the 1st and 2nd round this guy was calling me a tryhard and the whole game he was using an ASM1 Speakeasy and sitting in the tunnels by B dom, the irony... I sent him a message saying "Put down the ASM1 for once you sweaty nerd then we can talk about me being the tryhard" he responded back with "hahahhahahhaha 1vs1?" I simply responded "No."
This may be really long but it's worth a read. This is my list of things I want in the next COD (in no particular order).
1. Three lane maps like BO2 and like the classic COD that made the franchise famous. Three Lanes just works for COD, in every game mode. Search and Destroy sucked ass when Ghosts got rid of 3 lane maps, maybe that's why they put in search and rescue at first.
2. Weapon balance. I remember playing COD4, MW2, BO1, etc. and I felt that I could use any weapon and have fun. Now you have to use the OP weapons or get shit on.
3. NO FUTURISTIC SETTING. BO2 is as far into the future I can enjoy it and it wouldn't be smart to redo that setting so fast. I personally say to go back to WW2 or Vietnam. Heck I saw a rumor that it's going to be a fictional WW3 that takes place a decade or so after WW2. Doesn't sound likely but sounds awesome, that way it can be modern enough to have the cool shit but is still a setting that we haven't played in a while.
4. Matchmaking based on connection and not skill. If you want skill-based matchmaking, then you can choose too. They should just change League Play to a skill-based playlist.
5. Pro perks. My idea is that you can have the pick 10 system and both. Once you complete the challenges for a perk, you unlock a different one (instead of the original perk having additional functionality). That way you can select multiple perks but not be OP.
6. Killstreaks that feel rewarding. It doesn't have to be over the top like MW2, but IMO BO1 hit the sweet-spot for how powerful killstreaks should be.
7. GOOD CAMOS! I swear COD4 has better camos than Advanced Warfare. Please no bullshit where the only good camos are DLC.
8. This one is small, but bring back the original AK-47. Advanced Warfare feels weird without one. In general bring weapons that have proved to be good and that people have loved. M16, M4 (Commando in BO1), Ak47, MP5, UMP45, Barret 50-cal, bolt-action sniper rifles (M40A3, Intervention), and also some decent secondary weapons. We shouldn't have to choose between shitty pistols and a stinger. MW2 had awesome secondary weapons, it doesn't have to OP like the akimbo 1887's but make the secondary weapons decent.

Thunder, this is directed to you especially. To Vonderhaar and other CoD developers Call of Duty isn't a game, it's a product designed to make money. And because the sniping community is now probably larger than the casual player community, they are more likely to cater towards them so that they will play it more and buy shit that you don't need. Especially since most of the CoD community are under the age of 14 years old and will buy anything that they can so they look cool, just remember, a lot of the people playing CoD have little to no social life outside of Xbox.

402THUNDER402 thunder you should try battlefield hardline i know you dont like bf but i was a cod fanboy and than cod became shit so i tried bf4 and most of the modes really were slow and boring but the tdm wasnt it was fast paced and fun and everyone plays as a team and not go to camp somewhere and now there is bf hardline which is even more pacey cause the maps are a little bit bigger than the bf4 maps but you can play 64 people in the tdm mode its fucking crazy and a lot of fun

manchester united my love TDM in Hardline sucks, I play mainly Hotwired and Conquest Small (because Conquest Large is a snipefest). That's just my opinion, but you can play whatever you want :)

Lmfao fortune cookies with a better story tho idk why I started dying! I think AW did a great job with the story the community just has no idea what they want in multiplayer. No camping sounded like a good idea but now that people cant actually camp you have to try hard all the time and it's to stressful and that makes for a horrible experience as well. We just need balance brought to Cod. The perfect point right in the middle.
