I cannot help but respect and Love this man for having the courage to leave this band when he did...for the reasons he did. Took allot of guts to leave something he helped build, and something he obviously still loves so much. He really gained my respect by leaving the band at their height, instead of slipping away at a low.
It really did. Of course I don’t know the reasons why he left (other than what one reads) but if he saw it fit to leave, than kudos to him doing what he felt was right for him. Total respect.

Nemá to koule!
Those items he auctioned in reality re priceless...the acetate masters o n LP...he had every album. He did so much work, that the band just ignored. He was so important in the sound that made manymof us so happy and sad..but they were always there as a sountrack,
Alan Wilder does not sell himself and who above all does not allow him to be treated as an object. It takes courage to do what he did and with this auction he finally closes a cycle in his life and finally he opens his wings to the artistic freedom.
He sold himself as soon as he announced this auction....secondly closed which chapter? He left the band in 1995....and thirdly artistic freedom? He did not produce or released anything in s decade.....as much as i respect him and admire his talent and work.....but get real giiiirrrllll

I have nothing against the auction or whatsoever, I love A.W. but, serious question: doesn't DM own these equipments? did Alan purchased them from his own pocket? Or DM just didn't want the keyboards anymore so they gave it to Alan?
Fletch being their manager meant they could act as a company. Most of what they purchased the individual artist using them owned but the money would come from the recording company.

At 5:30 he was so into the ease of that joy...i would have never gotten rid of that keyboard...the Smithstonian would have loved it.
I went into euphoria when he started Everything Counts & Christmas Island.

Darnt ! I missed the auction by a mile. No little brother for my Emu1 and Emu2
There's literally a emulator III at the left and no one cares ...

you can have one for more or less 1k us on ebay

he needed to sell all his stuff to pay out one of the girls "we" throw apples and vegetables at during their SOFAD-tour. what an irony of fate....

Why did he sell his stuff?
Come he dun need the analogoe sound files anymore, he got them in digital format.
