… and then… Martin let Alan go and they started to throw a lot of dirt on him. Sorry, I still cannot understand how they could do it, although I love them all.
@@InfraRedLight and this is just in your head, we always want to find extraordinary things in really simple things, Alan wanted to leave and he did it and thats it, Martin and Dave said clearly they miss hm in the studio and he had an important role in the DM sound, these "stories" are from people that get bored coming with their presumptions. Please show me one article where Martin and Dave throw dirt on Alan
You are wrong, it’s not only in my (or someone’s) head. I think you idealize them a bit, because it is very nice and safe to think only nice things about your favourite band. But they are only ordinary people and not so sweet as you want to think. I hope you don't think I'm so weird to collect all their interviews I've read and listened to. But it's a fact that Andy and Martin said about him that Alan despised them, because he is a misantropist and cannot have any friends at all, he pissed them off with his control of the whole process, never loved them as people, that is why they were never interested in him as a person. There are a lot of interviews (in articles mostly) from their Ultra era. Later Dave said about him that Alan escaped from the sinking ship, abandoned them in a hard times. And I think it is a well-known fact, that Martin called Alan “a control freak”. Don’t you think it is a dirt after all Alan has done for DM, especially on SOFAD and Devotional?
@plutostube I am afraid even the linkS (there were a few interviews as I said) would not satisfy you. Call it blah-blah-blah, it is your choice. Actually I am an adult person and I don’t need to argue with anybody and try to prove the facts to someone who doesn't want to believe them. If you wanted to, you can find all these articles on DM fanclubs websites, that’s not rumours (although it surprises me that you don’t know such well-known facts which nobody of them tries to deny). So it is your choice to know only the nice things about your favourite band. I prefer to know all the facts, so I know it through their interviews and acts, not only what sounds sweet to me. I like them all, but they are just people with their emotions and mistakes, that’s why it doesn’t mean I would try to erase their unfair actions.
For a fan as me, I'm discovering this short video of Alan in 1991 never seen before and I remember the World Violation Tour in October 1990 and I can't resist thinking that the next album will be his last album with DM....
When I see this video it makes me so sad, to see such a gifted musical artist go from being so busy and working in music on different projects, not only his own band Depeche Mode & Recoil but also with other artists, basically choosing to end his music career in 2012. I will still never understand how such a musical genius can basically disappear from the music scene like that. It's a shame. We'll never know the music that could have been. And what other amazing musical accomplishments and wonders that would have come from the remarkable Alan Wilder.
Absolutely right. I´ ve never accept his departure ... of DM, and music in general. We lost a big part of what could´ve been DM all these years, and other Al´s projects.😢
@@sandracole5265 that’s what Alan wanted. In his interview he said he doesn’t see himself in a boy band in his 30s because he wanted to raise a family.
DM's architect. The light that shines twice as bright burns for only half as long.
when the master of electronic music production hang out with the master of the electronic music songwriting

I LOVE Death's Door. The film was brilliant too.
