Good to see your talking more. Your spare machine must not be set up with your remote. Your welds are great! Your dog is handsome! Keep showing him, it shows your love for him. Old man welder.
The reaction your dog gave you when you asked him what he did to the machine because he wanted to go home priceless looks like your backup machine welds like a champ great video
They are smart, when I'm eating and not looking at him, he is with his ears straight up just lookingat me, and when I look at him, he puts that puppy eyes face with his ears all the way to the back ☺️
Sounds like a carburetor ar at worst a magneto. Either one is not really horrible to repair. I do not believe it could be anything worse because it was running fine and then just stopped. They are very simple units Thank God and I love them!!! Could be something as simple as points and plugs. I would go with fire first..lol
My brother same thing happened to my did same thing cha cap ,points, cables checked everything nothing checked wiring and the pc unit and then found the problem it was the off and on switch just gave out put new one turned on back to welding be safe brother and keep burning them tods🤙🏼
The same thing happened to me before, man, but i remembered I hit that switch, and it worked, but this time is different. But I'll definitely double check on that switch 😉👍 thanks for the advice, man!!
Do not remember but some are wired to where the power goes through the oil pressure switch first or if you have Murphy safety switches. If the oil pressure switch fails the you get no power to the distributor or coil.
The electric fan is powered by that oil pressure switch, and as you see on the video, the fan is working.. so that's why I think it's not the problem. Thank you for the advice, man 😉👍
Is the gasoline machine better somehow for your application? Pipe and pipeline welding is a mystery this New England machinery repairman and fabricator. (all I do know is Lincoln DC generators burn sticks ohhhh so smooth) I have had or used many engine drive welders over the years and never found a gasoline engne powered one to be as nice or a trouble free as a diesel. Even the old super reliable continentals When carrying extra fuel, I don't like having flammable gasoline on board. one more thing to guard against fire.
@warrenjones744 In terms of welding, I think they are the same, one's you set up a good temperature for each pass, they should weld pretty much the same.. lots of guys think that some machines run smoother than others, and I think that's not true, for example.. If you set 100 amps in a Miller machine and set 100 amps in a Lincoln machine, do you think there would be a difference? I tried this once, and there's no difference.. in a Miller machine, it is easy to set it on 100 amps because you have a digital meter. In a Lincoln machine, it is hard to set it in 100 amps if you don't have a digital multimeter tester .. Thanks for watching my videos bro and thanks for commenting!!😉
@@gustavojr841 Thanks for the reply Gus. I'm going to check out more of your videos. I am recovering from surgery and have some time. Next up is the roll out wheel construction. Anyway I can see from halfway across the country or you are a good solid craftsman and take pride in your work. I enjoy your videos very much. and Yes I subscribed for more! I don't do much pipe work, but next time I weld on a flange or tee I am going to use some of what I see here. You don't really need any special tools just basic stuff. I like that. Well done sir.
So jealous that you can do 10 series rods for above ground piping. Where I’m at all the above ground has to be low hydrogen. Below ground pipeline we can do 6010/8010. And some hippies on the smaller stuff
Any welding machine is good, man.. for example.. 125 amps are 125 amps on a Miller, on a Hobart, or on a Lincoln machin.. as long the welding machine is running well, it's good
I like your videos better with more talking in them. 😊👍

Old man welder.
My small dog was in my rig for 4 years. Equals over 24years of pipeline experience
Great video Gus,hope you get the machine running again. Stay safe.

@@gustavojr841 my dog does that to me also the classic puppy dog eyes especially when you have food and they want it
