I like that counterweight for your roll out. Smart. My Grand pa always told me "work smarter, not harder". I noticed right off when I first started watching your channel how neat and tidy you roll up and keep your Rig. Always looks like a sharp suit for a business man, in our business. God bless brother, work safe.

Nice to see someone still stick welding! Way too many squirt gun welders out there. My dad started out welding those pipes by torch welding. He was amazing at it till the day he died with a torch and filler rod. We made a set of racks for my pick-up truck. He wanted to do the welding. Every weld on the project was torch welded. Never even a crack after 15yrs! He lives on because the things he created will be around for a long time! He was so secretive about his techniques he wouldn’t even let me his son watch some of the more difficult welds he did. He’d go from flat to vertical to overhead and never touch the heat. 7018 was his and mine go to rod.

Hey Gus! Just came over from Austin's channel and subscribed. Your channel brings back a ton of cool memories. After my Senior year of High school I worked for H&W Tool and die as a Roughneck on the oil rigs in Abilene and the area. I made friends with an older welder and that was it. I found my love. I ended up working a few years and saving money to go back to school for a degree in chemical engineering. I have had my fill of the crazies in that industry and miss the oilfields. I still have a Miller Bobcat and a Hobart 300 that was used on the Alaskan pipeline. I am almost done building a machine shop to be able to make all the parts for my dream garage where i am going to do UA-cam videos restoring and building pre WWI race cars. Keep up the great work...BTW I am in cold PA right now but I am planning on coming back....I am also keeping my eyes out for a basket case Sa200 to restore and put on a '45 cabbed F350 with a cummins, pipeliner bed and dually's...Love your rig brother!!!
