Why is the dealer charging me $53,000 out the door price for the pro? I've added chrome bumpers, heated mirrors, convenience package. 5.3 liter V8 4wd. Tow hooks. Multipro tailgate. Bedliner. The MSRP for the pro with a 5.3 Is advertised at about 40k. Did I just get shafted?

Would love to get your opinion on this. I have a leased car that ends on 3/31/22. I just put a deposit down on a 2021 AT4 for $55k that gets in next month. The 2022 AT4 is a bit too expensive for me. @@capcityff3531 Ya it makes sense definitely on your end on that lease buy out. Current trucks are decent just being wanting a better interior since 2007 so I'm a little biased on wanting something premium.
I'm very excited about these bad boys. It took a while, but they finally did the Sierra interior justice and in doing so returned a lot of our ammo against the other makes 👏👏👏
The trucks look great. I think they should be focusing on just building a couple of trucks for less rather than 6 different trucks. I also think the price's are ludicrous. In September, I tried to order a 22 3/4 ton 4 door long bed WT with the Z71 package and GM said no.
The new interior is a huge upgrade and I really like it but I wish the gauges where actual gauges and not digital displays. Really gauges just look higher end and less gimmicky. That's one thing I love about the RAM dash it has configurable digital displays in the instrument cluster but the main gauges are real gauges. Otherwise I love the new interior. Personally I like the console shifter. It does use up some console space but its way more natural to use especially in snow/ice if you want to bump it into neutral quickly on heavy braking. That's one thing I hate about the RAM interior is the rotary dial shifter.
@@SM2005_ honestly, I think that elevation doesn’t get enough credit. It’s a good looking truck with everything that you really need and nothing extra.
I was hoping GMC would offer the 3.0 Duramax on the AT4X. That sounds like the perfect truck to me. Or, it would be nice if GM would up their off-road package and offer at least a rear push-button locker similar to Ford's FX-4 and Toyota's TRD Off-road packages.
Will they come with a 10 speed transmission and transmission and electronic lock differentials on both front and rearend on the ultimate denali? The 👑.
I was disappointed that I couldn’t get an x with the diesel so I reserved the regular at4 with the 3.0. I’m a bit hesitant that I had to choose a specific dealer with the reservation as far as negotiation power. I guess they are gonna just expect us to pay sticker price.
Looks like GMC finally upped their game on the interiors! But please, someone figure out a way to mount a fiberglass tonneau/topper to the carbon pro bed?!! A paint-matched cover would look way better and be more functional for what I do. I don't want a cheap looking roll-up option on an 80K truck?!
I really wanted an 18-22 Silverado/Sierra but as much of a GM fanboy I’ve been for most of my life, I drove three new ones (20-21) and only really liked one of them. Which was a custom trail boss but I hate the physical key and no steering wheel control DIC. Just something felt off, and I wasn’t in love with it other than the trail boss and I know I have zero use for a lifted truck. This looks like it’s def improved. I’ll have to drive one as much as I can’t afford a Denali. I’d love an AT4x
Steering wheel controls are a $390 option called the safety confidence package. I ordered it on my 2021 Custom Trail Boss and love it. I only wish it was leather wrapped.

I wish I could order a truck without having to choose a complete package. Like if you want a certain item you have to have a whole package or if you choose 1 package you have get this other package. I ordered and bought my truck I wanted under bed rail lights but I had to get the whole convenience package.
So i am a GMC fan but I think they are out to lunch on the new pricing on the AT4X and Denali ultimate. You can get a Ford raptor for the same kind of money as an AT4X and it’s more off road capable. I don’t feel that there is 15,000 dollars difference in the AT4 and AT4X for the upgrades. Very disappointed. PS. Also they should have been able to have exhaust tips coming out the rear bumper and still have the clearance they wanted. I mean if Ford can why can’t GM ?

GMC vs RAM for super high end trim interior. But for exterior the GMC wins hand down, and the 4th gen RAM trucks has the exterior and interior to behold of the benchmark. (Owner of a 2012 RAM and yes i still want to buy a Silvy)
Do you think the Silverado ZR2 will start at $75,000 usd too?
My guess is it will be a bit under that
Cant wait for you to do a night time test I really want to see if those fog lights really going to light the road I love the interior but I know they won't them to look different on the outside I can't wait until they look different on the inside too I love your videos GMJ
Thanks so much! A nighttime test will be fun!! I’ll try to do one when I can!
Not sure if I need to wait for dinali ultimate or but the 2021
Minor exterior refresh, looks good. Like the new interior, but really do not like the console shifter, I like that area for storage. Those prices made me spit my drink out
Lol..
Will the lower trims like Elevation retain the older interior or will they get the updated interior?
New interior for SLE and Elevation
@@GeneralMotorsJeff Thanks, I saw a pic of the new elevation and its available with the duramax unlike the RST which is not, look forward to your review of it.
How much for the zr2
Not priced as of yet
About time they added more speakers!! Just sad they didn’t put a real sub on the back seats ugh. Great truck over all compared to 2021! But I’d get the HD with these new prices..yikes. No panoramic sunroof?? Cmon now! Every truck has this by now
Would love to get your opinion on this. I have a leased car that ends on 3/31/22. I just put a deposit down on a 2021 AT4 for $55k that gets in next month. The 2022 AT4 is a bit too expensive for me. Would you take that 2021 AT4 or a 2022 Elevation? I love the updated interior and leather seats are a must for me.
Honestly… just comes down to how much more you want to spend and if the upgrades are worth that extra $ for you?
@@GeneralMotorsJeff The 2022 Elevation would actually save some money AND get the new tech. However the 2021 AT4 still looks nice. I’m also a bit nervous about when the 2022 would actually show up.
@@capcityff3531 Get the new interior model if you still can,,It's so long overdue is not even funny for a better interior,,
@@jamescameron204 The 2021 came in much earlier than expected. I went to see it and fell in love. They have no idea when the new ones will be in and they purchased my lease that wasn’t going to end until March 31. So I went forward with the purchase. Figured if I really wanted to upgrade later on, the resale would be decent on this.
@@capcityff3531 Ya it makes sense definitely on your end on that lease buy out. Current trucks are decent just being wanting a better interior since 2007 so I'm a little biased on wanting something premium.
Well i guess i know which truck im getting, which is my first truck but im going for that AT4X😍 thats a whole beast🤤🔥🔥
Nice!! Great choice!
Jeff, when do you think they will show the lower trim trucks?
Great video!! I was wanting to know the prices on them new trucks.. U really broke down everything!! 👍👍👍👍
Denali ultimate is a beautiful truck but damn 80,000 is crazy talk. I’ll stick with my 2021 elevation lol
Wow at4 up 6k...crazy. Interest rates are heading up in January that will kill demand no doubt.
What’s going on with the Elevation? I actually like it more than the At4. Lol.
I love mine man, bought it almost a year ago.
@@triggerboy85v59 I almost pulled the trigger on a red one two months ago but chickened out. Lol. I love they don’t have any chrome.
@@SM2005_ just do it lol
@@SM2005_ honestly, I think that elevation doesn’t get enough credit. It’s a good looking truck with everything that you really need and nothing extra.
I was hoping GMC would offer the 3.0 Duramax on the AT4X. That sounds like the perfect truck to me. Or, it would be nice if GM would up their off-road package and offer at least a rear push-button locker similar to Ford's FX-4 and Toyota's TRD Off-road packages.
Why is gmc still holding on to the square wheel well
🤷🏼♂️
Will they come with a 10 speed transmission and transmission and electronic lock differentials on both front and rearend on the ultimate denali? The 👑.
I was disappointed that I couldn’t get an x with the diesel so I reserved the regular at4 with the 3.0. I’m a bit hesitant that I had to choose a specific dealer with the reservation as far as negotiation power. I guess they are gonna just expect us to pay sticker price.
According to the website the 2022 ATX still had the old interior, is that correct?
Looks like GMC finally upped their game on the interiors! But please, someone figure out a way to mount a fiberglass tonneau/topper to the carbon pro bed?!! A paint-matched cover would look way better and be more functional for what I do. I don't want a cheap looking roll-up option on an 80K truck?!
Great review bro!! Love these trucks ! Might have to upgrade my 21 Sierra AT4 Diesel- in 2-3 years - GM all day baby!
2025 will be the all new redesign by then but the bugs will be worked out.
I wonder if they will offer the regular AT4?
Yes
I was interested in the Denali ultimate I saw the pricing lol. I would look @ the ford raptor instead when pricing starts at 80k+.
The at4x front end seems too long for offloading. The chevy Silverado zr2 seems like a better offroader and most likely cheaper then the at4x.
@@FastSS02 ah. I must have test drive a real stripped down base model. It fit like a glove tho.
I love the GMC Sierra, it’s very nice! I can’t wait for the all electric Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra! I went to check out the Chevy Silverado, I love it!! I hope the all electric Chevy Silverado has Automatic doors, that would be awesome for my cerebral palsy! I love the Electric Shifter!
Gm basically made the Denali an SLT, and said we Gon charge people an extra 20k for a Denali ultimate, which should be the Denali.
Beautiful truck! I was looking forward to getting a F150 Tremor but I think I’ll be getting an AT4. The AT4x is too expensive 🤦🏽♂️.
AT4 is still going to be an amazing truck!
@@GeneralMotorsJeff The website looks like the regular 2022 AT4 still has the old interior
@@Quik22 oh God no 😑. I hope not. That wouldn’t make sense though.
@@RyeitOut scratch that, it says 13.4 screen on the AT4 but it does still say jet black leather with kalahari accents like last years model
@@Quik22 yea I noticed the interior color was carried over for the regular AT4. This doesn't bother me personally, as I like it.
Now that i’m early in the comment section! What about the 2500s!??? 😭😭😭 i have a 2021 Chevy Trail Boss but I want a diesel truck yet I really don’t need it. I do travel a lot for work and maybe will be hauling an RV sometime next year. Any advice!? I know they say, if you don’t need a diesel, then don’t get it! Lol
Honestly, great trucks… but unless you tow OFTEN, I’d stick with the cost/comfort of the 1500 series
@@GeneralMotorsJeff I wanted one for the bigger tank and longer fuel range lol but I might just stick with gas! Thanks bud! Might go with the Silverado next Holidays 2022
At4x looks really boring ... but the ultimate looks sick ! I hope you can remove the chrome bumper in front and on the miroir ! And add a little bit of sound and lift
Ultimate does look sick!
If someone already proposed this question, my bad for repeating it. Has anyone seen exterior color choices yet?
Them is Raptor prices!!
Basically…
I am old enough to remember when loaded trucks surpassed $30K and I thought "no way".
Prices are insane
🤦🏼♂️
Ya Pricing is getting ridiculous on these new trucks these days! It’s getting out hand.
Front end looks like the Titan.
The AT4X price though! 😳 Id never get a vehicle with massaging seats cause id total it within a couple days! A 4 cylinder in a full size truck is dumb, as i highly doubt it will last past 150,000 miles. Nevermind it sounding like a lawnmower! 🤢 Great reveal vid! 👍👍
Thanks!! 😃👍🏼
It's nice to see GMC finally added some Platinum and Limited level models to their lineup! I can't wait to get one of them! Though I'll likely see about the mid-level Denali 😉
