Do you know if you will be able to get the electronic shifter on the LT trim? 2019-2021 models you could not get the full center console on LT trim models.
Jeff, I have a 20 RST...are they continuing the RST in the refresh? In this video at 2:47 the pic shows 3 trucks, far right...LT, this has the RST wheels on it? Just curious on the RST issue. Thx!
Chevrolet only talked about the LT, HC and the ZR2 in the videos they released… HOWEVER, there still will be an RST, TrailBoss LT, Custom TB, Custom, AND WT….The RST will have the new exterior and interior and it’s going to look awesome!! Just no pics released yet

I was a little pissed after seeing the refresh for getting the 2020 trailboss 2LT and not waiting for this one, but after checking my trucks current trade in value at 50k it's actually 1k over what I paid for it new if I decide to trade it in for a ZR2
I think it would really hurt their overall Trail Boss sales to not at least give it some sort of update. I'm obviously not a GM employee, but I'm willing to bet that the custom Boss made up a fair chunk of the Trail Bosses that 30% of their truck sales. I've personally been in the market for a custom Boss. I've been waiting to see what the '22 model brings. I won't buy one of it looks the same on the inside as the '21
On Chevy's website, the Custom Trail Boss has the 2.7 as the standard engine with the 5.3 and 6.2 V8s optional AS WELL AS the 3L Duramax! I thought that was only going to be available in the LT Trail Boss.
That’s probably a more realistic timeframe… but what was mentioned was spring… and I say late spring to summer in my opinion … thats provided there are no hiccups along the way of course
They did a nice job with the update, even though those lowered mirrors still bug me. I certainly hope they don't price the ZR2 at a Raptor or TRX level. It's cool, but it's still just a Trailboss with lockers. They should have given it a little wider body, bigger tires, rock rails, and a light bar like they did with the Colorado.
I’m fairly certain, much like our current ‘21 trucks, that the interiors will be virtually the same. Which is a good thing Bc I love the new Silverado interior! Haha.. So yes, I agree and did notice that!
Thank you VERY much for sharing this video!! Chevy did an amazing job this time!!! I don't have any complaints!! Can't wait to see all the other trims and options and your great reviews on GM stuff 👍 Thanks again!
Glacier Blue (shown on the ZR2). Is the official color name for the updated Silverado. Truck legends named the color. Yes as of now arriving at dealers Spring (May) 2022. Also any trim under the LT gets the old/current interior FYI aka WT/Custom/Custom Trail Boss

The ZR2 looks great but I'd rather have it with a 3.0 diesel. Off-road the diesel will go fast enough for me and get much better mileage than the gas. 6.2.
No…. U didn’t miss it… They won’t be changing the sunroof for any of the refreshed models.. Will be a couple more years when they come out with the next generation before we have a chance at seeing that option

The front facia is evolutionary, the new interior will help it better compete with Ford and Ram and keep it fresh until the next full redesign. You explained the differences between ZR2 and Trail Boss, is ZR2 replacing the Trail Boss? LTZ wasn't mentioned when you talked about the higher trim levels. Are any trim levels being deleted? I'm looking forward to a video when you get information on Sierra
Oh man Jeff thank you for sharing this. I’m glad GM finally listened and made the larger screen. I like the front of the trucks a lot better. Thank you!
The New Denali and the AT4 X will have similar but better features also...I have seen the new AT4X...it is the best looking truck I have ever seen bar none..
I seen brian mellow couldnt get his site up and running but did see TFL and tim esterdahl did ! im not disappointed at all ! the truck still screams im a Chevy !
I can’t confirm, but have a feeling it will be available on other models aside from the ZR2 and it only seems logical for the regular TB to have it! It’s a slick colour in that truck!
General Motors Jeff really love that zr2, and that color is 🔥. I just don’t know if I can pull the trigger on that 6.2 and it’s premium fuel requirement with rising fuel costs, but a 420 HP V8 naturally aspirated is so tempting
Thanks for the video! I currently have a 2018 Colorado and I'm thinking of upgrading to a 2022 Silverado LT/LTZ with a diesel. What are your thoughts about gas vs diesel, I never owned a diesel engine before but I'm really considering it. Also, I would like to see a video of you putting together a great LT/LTZ package with options that you consider "must have" options.
Thanks for watching Jay! I LOVE the diesel 3.OL .. So much so that we ordered my wife’s Tahoe with that engine… So I would def recommend for the amazing fuel efficiency ! I will work on that LT/LTZ idea! 😃
Wooo! Love the refresh on all these models! Lookin’ sharp! Though I’d probably target the 5.3, I am pretty intrigued by the turbo 4. And since I’ve been a Colorado guy for the last 4 years, I wonder if this application of the 4 will go into the refreshed 23s?? That is, this one with increased torque. Thanks for the info, Jeff!
I like the interiors. I dont like the electric shifter. I would prefer a column. The exterior I would need to see in person to see if it grows on me. I know they were shooting for a bit below the raptor/trx with the zr2 but for goodness sakes thats what everyone in the off-road community was begging for. We wanted them to crush ford and ram. 🤬That part was a big disappointment for me. Unless GMC does something different it looks like I will stick with my 2016 and keep upgrading it. 😤
I actually just sold my 2017 Silverado, plan is to save up a bit and buy an electric truck in 1.5-2 years. Tbh, Ford was kinda winning me over with the Lightning but this just grabbed me back! All the new tech hase excited to see the electric version now
@@GeneralMotorsJeff I really hope they match the Lightning with the frunk. That's a game changer for me. Once, I took my parents to the airport and had to tie down their bags in the truck bed 😂😅
Love the interior definitely a step up and into the new decade. Only thing that scares me is that the zr2 is above the LTZ in trim level so might have to keep it to the lt trail boss. Also looking forward to what GMC has to offer!
We will just have to wait snd see where it’s priced out at! As far as the GMC’s, stay tuned to my channel snd I will announce the release date as soon as I hear it!
I’m a Chevy guy and am completely disgusted with this ZR2. Don’t get me wrong it’s a great truck for the money as I’m sure it will be cheaper than the Raptor; however, this is not Raptor competition this is bs basically. They couldn’t even offer 35 inch tires while Ford is doing 37s out of the factory. This is slightly better than the trail boss and nowhere close to the TRX or the Raptor. 33 inch tires Jesus Christ.
It was a refresh truck, not a ground up build…. Furthermore I totally understand your frustration, BUT, at the same time, Chevy never said they were going for the exact market… they feel there is a market that will come under the price of those truck that more people can afford… 🤷🏼♂️
@@GeneralMotorsJeff I agree, not even saying it doesn’t make sense for them, but for the love of God just put 35s on it and add a slightly bigger lift. Or at least have an option for something better. It doesn’t even have to be a dessert runner. The truck looks great just wanted those 35s and slightly bigger lift which would look amazing on this truck. I don’t know man, they lost me with this one. That 6.2l V8 is great, I have that engine in my Camaro 2SS and it sounds great. If they make an LT5 Raptor fighter, I will apologize lol.
Gorgeous interior especially the High Country. Thanks for the update Jeff. I’m really hoping that the HD’s will have a very similar interior layout same huge displays PLUS panoramic sunroof *fingers crossed*

My assumption is yes… we will have to wait and see before I can 10000% confirm… But right now I’d say 99.5% lol
The New Denali and the AT4 X will have similar but better features also...I have seen the new AT4X...it is the best looking truck I have ever seen bar none..
where is the RST?
Nothing released yet… I can’t wait though! The RST will look sick with that new front end!
Great. Alexa listening to everything you say. No thank you.
🤦🏼♂️
Do you know when the GMC Sierra is gonna be reveled?
Not yet… BUT, stay tuned to the channel and I will announce it as soon as I know!
When will the new gmc 1500 be shown? And will any updates be made for the HD trucks?
No release date for the refreshed Sierra… YET… Ih, and HD trucks won’t see a refresh until late 2023 for the 2024 model year
I seen brian mellow couldnt get his site up and running but did see TFL and tim esterdahl did ! im not disappointed at all ! the truck still screams im a Chevy !
😃👍🏼
Finely....zr2 looking good.
Such a great looking truck for sure!!
Love the inside and interior change is great but still no panoramic sunroof we need that
I know… I’m so happy with these trucks in EVERY other way though, that I’m willing to let it slide this time.. haha
Zed
the rear lights are thicker, just like the front daytime running lights I like how they incorporate the thin led fog lights in the zr2
I think I’m about to be a Chevy man again. They absolutely nailed with the refresh.
Yesssss!! They did, and I’m happy to hear you might come back to the Chevy side! 😃👍🏼
Finally
Oh yes they did😀👍
@@lastcall170 why not? Just coat it with Krown and you’re good to go.
Except for the childish light's...
I was a GM guy.. but they are building junk now like Ford and Chrysler have doing for years...
Is the powzinga / glacier blue only going to be offered on the zr2 ? Or will the regular trail boss get it as well?
The diesel will pay for it's self
Thanks for watching Jay! I LOVE the diesel 3.OL .. So much so that we ordered my wife’s Tahoe with that engine… So I would def recommend for the amazing fuel efficiency ! I will work on that LT/LTZ idea! 😃
@@GeneralMotorsJeff Thanks for the reply! I'm looking forward to seeing it and your other videos!
Thanks so much for taking the time to watch, and comment, Jason! 😃👍🏼
I get what ur saying… I see Chevy’s reasoning, but at the same time I wanted to crush the other brands in regards to performance as well lol
I actually just sold my 2017 Silverado, plan is to save up a bit and buy an electric truck in 1.5-2 years. Tbh, Ford was kinda winning me over with the Lightning but this just grabbed me back! All the new tech hase excited to see the electric version now
I can’t wait to see the Silverado EV as well!
Thanks for watching Joe!! My understanding is the HDs won’t see a refresh until late 2023 for 2024 model year 😵💫
Without the higher performance engine, the ZR2 is basically a Trail Boss with a new interior. Raptor and Dodge for the win....again
The trailboss has so much more offroad features its not even a joke.
