I would like a paintball field that has low bunkers with one way glass for spectators to watch the action. The other choice is a huge crows nest overlooking the field (again with one way glass) to watch from above. The crows nest could have a snack bar or coffee shop. In lieu of this a cable mounted camera or drone mounted one with the feed going into a viewing room. That way when players are tagged out they could finish watching their team mates win or lose. I suppose it all boils down to money and who would pay to use a paintball field equipped with such gear.
name it "Paintball Q & A" and have them numbered? just a suggestion. also for the next episode: Is the luxe ICE worth the upgrade if I currently shoot a Luxe OLED?
Production value is far superior to TechPB. In addition PBRL's host Brad never makes derogatory comments about the industry or markers whereas Mike frequently did. At the time I loved TechPB's show but it's time has gone and past.
I say this on every barrel/bore match video I see. Bore matching is not good for consistency. For best consistency you want to over bore or under bore by .003. But you will not be shooting straight unless you shoot good paint, no matter the barrel or bore match.
Couldn't agree more with "it's about how much you willing to spend on paintball ". yes having a highend marker is nice but not necessary, important part is to get out on the field and play. For the title I would go with something simple that ppl who are new to paintball can find it, like Q&A Paintball
no go on the Olympics, we get to play war with other countries by spring at each other? come on...... question for next time: what do you think is the current state of Mag-fed paintball? dying? growing?
Call the show PBQ for Paintball Questions. I do have some questions. 1) When I watch paintball games, I see so many paintballs on the ground. I understand they are bio-safe. How long do these balls break down or do the fields regularly sweep up these balls? 2) I just recently purchased (02/01/2024) a Planet Eclipse LV2 Conquest from the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. I heard that a mechanical frame trigger cannot be designed for the pop-up valve-type setup like the LV2. Can you explain why? 3) If you don't use your paintball, what is a good practice to improve the storage time of the paintballs? Should we rotate the box or take the balls out of the box and rotate them in the bag? How long can they be preserved? 4) I was told to watch out when buying paintball markers on the internet regarding markers that have hydro dip film. Is there any other painted or cathode coating of paintball markers that will create a problem? 5) Can you give some guidelines in the care and storage of paintball goggles? 6) What type of games are there? Capture the flag which is at the center of the field. Capture the enemy's flag. Any games you found to be fun? 7) Paintball clothing. Are there any clothing that helps in paintball? Some have said some material actually helps minimize paintball busts. Is that true?
Hello i have a ETEK5 with 2 Piece Micro Honed 14.5” length, 0.693” Bore ,Shaft4 comp atible...how can upgrade my barrel? Freak insert kit work on Etek 5??
What gun do you shoot and what is your reason for shooting this gun/company? and will you have any gameplay footage on this channel? by the way this is a great channel keep it up.
I was dissapointed with my Freak barrel kits, i had the aluminum and steel. Personally i love the Powerlight Scepter kit. I also have a diablo one and thats pretty good.
Personally I don't fully agree with the Freak kit being the best. But it is a solid kit for its price. It's what I use to it. Then I switched to a Deadly Winds barrel (still with freak inserts) that was a bit better than just a normal freak kit. But the inserts I have aren't consistent at all. I have ~11 or 12 inserts. 3 of them are duplicates. And neither of the duplicates size the same as the other one. So they aren't fully consistent. Lately I've been using a Phi Parabolic Barrel and loving it. That one is step bore (It starts off one bore straight through and then ends at a .05 bore larger at the end). I've also heard great things about the Stella kit and Lurker Barrels. But you are correct that those will run much more than Freak Kits. So it all comes down to how much the player wants to put into the sport.
Yep. One of those dirty little secrets you don't hear much of at the field. Those aluminum inserts aren't nearly as accurate as people think they are, and they *deform*. Paintballers have no idea what they should be doing with barrel sizing or ball matching. Most of them do it completely wrong.
Yeah i was really impressed with the price to performance, especially coming from a spyder pheonix. The only reason i didnt buy one new is because i found a sweet deal on pbnation that came with a gi lvl hopper.
I disagree on the Freak., Is it a decent barrel system,. yes but for the best performance your going to want a barrel with a longer control bore. The Freak is outdated, the inserts are cheap and flimsy unless you can find the older SS inserts. But the control bore of the Freak is only 5". CP =6, however the Inception Designs Stella is a solid 8.5", also has two holes drilled thru the back so in case the barrel back gets stuck in your gun, it can be easily removed with a small screwdriver, vs manhandling it and scratching the snot out of it. The porting on the tip allows the ball to transition between the outside of the barrel and the inside with less turbulence as it leaves the barrel. If it had no porting, it would hook the shot where ever the air escaped from first, behind the ball. It also quiets the sound signature, more porting usually means quieter shot. Lastly, the tip DOES NOT help with efficiency as the ball travels past the ports, air escapes and your not getting the full volume of air behind the ball. As for the comment of an OLED board for the mid end PE guns, after buying a GTek when it was first released and not having one, it is a pain in the ass to program. OLED board makes programming your Etek/Gtek a whole lot easier.
I'm with you on the longer control bores but I think for the average person the Freak Kit is the best choice. I personally use the Eclipse barrels that have an 8in control bore. But, im still not sold that in the real world it really matters all that much. The SS freak inserts are still made too. It seem though that people could debate about barrel FOREVER, that kind why its a topic I like to normally stay away from. :)
SSniper14 PB it's been proven theirs no benefit in running a control bore over 8.5" and that best consistency / standard deviation is obtained at the 8-8.5" mark
Ya no doubt that's a steal of a deal , I had some bad issues with lurker but nothing to do with barrels, just lame customer service but for 25$ you can't beat that barrel
Inception Design. hands down the best. 8 inch control bore is needed to smooth the ball out. hell Planet Eclipse and Now the new XL Freak is now on Board. I always undersizse my bore and never 1 ball break. but the key is a minimum 8" control bore same for Length 14" to 16" is highly recommended anything over 16" is doing nothing for the ball.
Wondering if anyone can help me out. I am looking for a barrel kit case that can hold the Eclipse Shaft FL Barrel front with all 4 backs. So the 5 piece kit. I bought the kit as an aftermarket kit for my Geo so the Geo case i have doesn't have room for everything. Thank you!
Can I use a barrel sizer kit for my Spyder mr5 do u know of any company who deals dual loader barrels I love my Spyder but could do with just a bit more accuracy apart from that it's a real good mil sim marker I think for the money but people take the piss out of Spyder to much they are budget guns just would like a better accuracy on it it just runs and runs have never had to change the O rings either and easy to work on and power wise are great we play hard above field legal on private land
I knew some pro players back in the hayday ...and they all had day jobs. But they got their guns and paint and for the nxl guys i think they git to travel...but they def. Had day jobs.
I have mini gs set up was thinking anout carbon fiber until you spoke about the pros and cons. I fogure i want something that works speedball consistent at 150 feet at least lol
#PQT what's the best jersey/pants for a woman to wear if we want more protection; are planning on going into tournament level paintball. Also what padding should we wear under our jersey and pants.
Overboring your barrel is better in almost every instance. It keeps the paintball seam from easily causing any negative affect when coming out of the barrel.
That would be a good video and no one has done it. I think GOG is better because their bore size is smaller than the empire. Feel like paintballs are getting smaller day by day.
My Empire Dfender came with a 12” barrel that came with .680, .685, and .690 Freak inserts. I like it without the Apex 2 that the marker also came with. However, one day I decided to put a Stiffi 23” .689 carbon fiber barrel on it. The bore is a little bigger than .689 at the muzzle but I can’t remember what. After chrono-ing with the .690 insert, switching barrels, and chrono-ing again, I was shooting about 50 fps higher than with the 12” barrel. I suspect this is because the ball travels more than half the length of the 23” barrel before reaching any porting. Turning down the air output was required to lower the muzzle velocity back down to 285 fps. That means better air efficiency, which is great for long scenario games. I can fire a whole case of paint before running out of air now (77/4500 Ninja SL2 tank). It’s also quieter than any other barrel around on the field. As for effective range and accuracy, it’s not noticeably different. After all, you’re firing a round ball through a smooth bore, so you shouldn’t expect to be “sniping” anyone. I was actually expecting less air efficiency, not more.
a larger bore requires a longer barrel to accelerate. With an underbore you only need about 6 inches which is why the freak XL isnt a very big improvement over the standard freak. Most people agree that the ideal length for the control bore is between 6 and 8 inches while the ideal overall length of the barrel is 14-16 inches. The ideal bore size is .003 smaller than your paint or .003 larger if you are shooting crappy paint. You may also want to try the apex 2 tip set at three clicks. I haven't done any testing, but after playing a couple games it seems like the spin that the apex 2 puts on the ball may help cancel out spin caused by oil on the ball which means better accuracy with oily paint
PAINTBALL QUESTION TIME QUESTION Hello, Just wanted to ask what the sweet spot on a pump gun is ? you can adjust the spring and out put pressure, ect. I have a empire sniper and am curious what your thoughts are. (the field we are on you have to have 250FFP.) trying to get best shot air and accuracy combo.
its different for every marker. In electros sweet spotting is tuning the dwell, hpr, and lpr, for the best consistency (at least thats my understanding of it) and sweet spotting a pump should be very similar, just with springs instead of dwell.
Whats a good 98 thread barrel that I could put an amplifier on? Are freak inserts an option with such a barrel? Mainly looking for amplified 98 barrel. I'd love to find one for my TMC. Thanks in advance.
Hey, do you think Deadly winds will make a CF barrel that will take Freak XL inserts? I think it would be a much better alternative than the Shaft FL considering it weighs almost as much or as much as the Shaft 5 with Pro tip.
Hay guys I just wanted to know if I were to use a 20" rifled barrel on a Tippmann TMC what tank size should I use or how should I do run a 20" on the TMC
The Mini GS and the Etha 2 have the same barrel threads, so good news is that any barrel you buy for the Mini will work on the Etha 2. 16in is all preference, I don't like that long but you might.
I recently got a mini gs and im looking at getting a freak barrel and kit. Im stuck on which barrel front i should get the freak barrel front or the all american 14’’ does anyone have any suggestions?
I've seen freak kits from different manufacturers, some made of aluminum and some from stainless steel. The aluminum inserts are cheaper, but is there even a difference??
Stainless steel will last longer and is less likely to be damaged. . With tens of thousands of shots eventually the regular kit will wear down and the bore won’t be as tight. Downside is it’s heavier, and pricier.
Yeah, I get it. Figured I would make it obvious that I was going to answer at least one question :). Will possibly change it up next time, still experimenting with stuff.
Is there a difference at all in shot quality between the etha 2 and Axe 2? I like the erogonomics and looks of the Axe 2 more but I'm not sure if the etha 2 shoots better. Would it be worth getting the etha 2 for a slight better shot quality over worse ergonomics(imo)?
You could easily call it Prmq&a (paintball ruined my q&a)! Also is it really true that dye guns are worse then pe guns never shot dye but will be this season!
I would like a paintball field that has low bunkers with one way glass for spectators to watch the action. Why not just regular glass
If paintball ever gets like the nfl that could possibly happen
Omg....it's retarded

Olympics - There's been talk about this since before 2000's. Closets to a "main stream" sport was when Fox Sport "covered the "Faux World Cup!"
Olympic rifle skiing could skip the airsoft guns and replace them with markers instead, now that's a true sport in -30 degrees CELSIUS.

Lurker or Stella barrels are both great. If you're unsure of what bore size to get then go with the .684/.685

Hello,
Just wanted to ask what the sweet spot on a pump gun is ? you can adjust the spring and out put pressure, ect.
Hi love your channel. Been playing a few years and just bought a kaos2. what's a good barrel for it, and what would you upgrade on it first
AMA (ask me anything) paintball related - that's my suggestion!
What's a better freak kit, GOG or Empire? Both kit sizes are diffrent?
Whats a good 98 thread barrel that I could put an amplifier on? Are freak inserts an option with such a barrel? Mainly looking for amplified 98 barrel. I'd love to find one for my TMC. Thanks in advance.

Hey, do you think Deadly winds will make a CF barrel that will take Freak XL inserts? I think it would be a much better alternative than the Shaft FL considering it weighs almost as much or as much as the Shaft 5 with Pro tip.
I imagine they will, I think it would be weird if they didn't.
when he said i dunno what ollie is doing i know he put up a video of him tripping out and going mental in india xD
1 piece freakXL carbon fiber with insert & Hammer Head barrels
Hay guys I just wanted to know if I were to use a 20" rifled barrel on a Tippmann TMC what tank size should I use or how should I do run a 20" on the TMC
Tank and barrel size aren't really correlated. Search "all about paintball tanks" you should find a video I made that should help you pick a tank size
I have a empire mini gs currently, do you recommend I should get a 16” inch barrels? Or should I get a barrel kit for my next gun (etha2)
The AA has more porting and is slightly quieter
5star is more brittle but in my case tends to have more oval shapes balls
I use defy level 2 paint and empire marballizer tournament paint

What guns come ready to use freak inserts with?
will the inserts fit in my stock maxxed rail barrel
Like the show, but "what is the best barrel kit" confused me. I thought the whole show was just about that topic
Yeah, I get it. Figured I would make it obvious that I was going to answer at least one question :). Will possibly change it up next time, still experimenting with stuff.
I have an ego 11. which barrel you recommend the broomstick or planet eclipse FL?
I like the FL barrels, but really the stock Shaft 4 barrels are great.
How do you feel about the Dye GF boomstick

How do older markers keep up in the game today?
Is there a difference at all in shot quality between the etha 2 and Axe 2? I like the erogonomics and looks of the Axe 2 more but I'm not sure if the etha 2 shoots better. Would it be worth getting the etha 2 for a slight better shot quality over worse ergonomics(imo)?
Nope, they both shoot great. If you like the feel of the 2.0 more, I would go with that.
What's the best barrel for the etha 2, and inch??
Why do you have like 60$ a case in the USA in Canada we have 150$ a case
I have no idea, but paintball prices are about the same in the USA and Canada.
The oily discount paint is where it’s at
Comments directed at Hugo if he sees it.
Paintball Q&A ruined my life...lol...
You could easily call it Prmq&a (paintball ruined my q&a)! Also is it really true that dye guns are worse then pe guns never shot dye but will be this season!
No. Dye guns are good, but I think right now the PE guns are the best paintball guns ever made.
Paintball Ruined My Life someone sounds like an eclipse nutsack fan
I guess so, I'm a fan because they make products that work well.
are barrel kits worth it or should i just stick with cp barrels? #PBQT
Austin Bassett stick with the CP
