This really is a good combo. I have much more expensive set ups and this combo ranks right up there with them. I love the rod, it’s a fast action and casts bigger flys well, balances nicely with the reel and hauls a decent amount of line off the water. You can’t go wrong for the price!
I would look into their 3/4wt or a 5/6! That’s what I’d like to get next! Most of the fish I will be targeting will probably be more of a 5wt which I would consider an all around size!

Yes, I would recommend this for any age! For a beginner it will take some practice to learn but It’s a blast once you get the hang of it!
