about the Kubrick part, no one every said he was a "bad person". He is known as someone who pushes his actors to the limits, spends weeks doing particular scenes, takes care of every detail, and was really into what he did, but little is known about him personally. In fact, people who knew him personally have really nice things to say about him.
Hearing u talk about being a director makes me feel more confident about reaching that same goal. I have so many ideas and for the most part Ive fleshed them all out and I can never stop thinking about the day they will be on screen for others to watch
Hey Chris! You should really consider reviewing more anime like Fullmetal Alchemist or Samarai Champloo. Great answers by the way, it really shows the kind of person you are. Thanks to you, I've gained a lot more interest in becoming a youtube reviewer and I've gained a lot of confidence in myself over the course of watching your videos. So thanks Chris I can't wait to see the podcast and the youreviewers this year
I subbed after seeing your DBZ Evolution review, cracked me up and you were surprisingly well spoken at the time so I knew it would be worth staying around.
THANK YOU CHRIS FOR YOUR OPINION OF PROMETHEUS. Alien is my all time favorite film and i loved prometheus. I loved the direction it took and the way it asked you questions like a classic science fiction film. While it was'nt flawless, it's one of my favorite movies of the year and i'm glad to see you have a similar opinion.
Chris, I've been playing the metal gear games too and now I'm playing MGS3 from that same HD collection! Crazy, right?!? But seriously, best game series ever.
i can tell from watching your videos that you are a nice guy chris, you keep up the great vids and be sure to have a kick ass time when you hook up with jahns, john and the schmoes in L.A!
Yeah films like The Big Lebowski and Fight Club (two of my favorite films) bombed at the box office and got mixed reviews. But nowadays people love these films and consider them to be one of the best.
I love boy meets world and girl meets world :D I love movies and tv shows, I'm an aspiring filmmaker from Australia. I plan on going to film school this year :)
Chris, I wish i had more friends like you who enjoyed movies the way I do. I don't really have many people to talk about films in depth the way you do. Man, I just love your reviews and every video you put out. Keep it up dude. I hope I can meet you one day and have a long talk about movies and life and stuff. Or just a quick picture. Either one. Haha.
I hope you are alright chris! hehe-when i was inhighschool i developed teh ability to write neatly without looking at the paper-it came in handy for copying infor from teh board quickly. BUT-now my handwriting has crapped out on me in my 20's, i did become visually imapired, so maybe thats it? the things is, i used to write without looking so that doesnt make much sense...maybe i need to practice?
I gotta say; I've been watching Jeremy Jahns' reviews for quite sometime now. But after stumbling across one of your videos, I must say, much better than Jeremy Jahns. Your video's seem more serious(Where as Jahns kind of screams..) with little funny bits that are hilarious as all hell (i.e. The scream bit in the Movie 43 review, and the Chris Farley impression in the dragon ball z rant) Keep up the good work, sir. I salute you.
Thanks for the vid Chris! Love your reviews & totally excited to check out the YouReviewers awards later! PS I actually liked Prometheus for the cool ideas it brought up.
Lol, I honestly loved Rises but only because I'm a sucker for Batman. You may be right but I honestly hope it never gets accredited enough for people to say they were originally wrong about it.
Is your chosen film course going to involve shooting Super 8, 16mm, 35mm. . . or simply digital? I took film and TV production in Toronto in 1994, and I felt mostly self-taught. People mainly learn by doing. Join a film/video co-op or create your own network. Put your tuition money into a movie. Someone should compile a "reading list" equivalent of DVD commentary tracks.
@ChrisStuckmann Hey Chris I just wanted to say thank you for answering my question. I was so happy to see that you answered it. you're one of my favorite movie critics and I hope you become a big time director. Thank you so much
Most Q&A's people do are a bit boring, this one wasn't. Great questions and interesting answers. I was hoping at the en there that you'd mention TDKR. Lots of hate for that film online, but having got the BR Box Set and having watched all 3 films over 3 days I truly think it's a great ending and a great film. Most supposed plot holes are answered in the film, just need to pay complete attention.
Hi Chris. What do you think of Hollywood's live action remake of Cowboy Bebop and Metal Gear Solid? And which actors do you want to play Spike and Solid Snake?
I was wondering if you're going to make another video like this..I'll like a chance to also send some Q&A.And by the way..did you went to film school? Great job :)
hi chris ^^ i love your reviews and i love how open minded u are with every media (movie, video games, anime) ETC, so congrats man ^^ i also want to know when ever you will do another vid like this because both me and my brother want to make a review channel but im to shy for it and my bro is to lazy XD but there is 2 questions we have that we really want to know your opinion of: 0///0 (shy) 1 : i am a animation fan like crazy fan and i inspire tolike crazy fan and i inspire to make a career in animation cuz i love it so much so my question is do you think it's recognized as an art form or is still underrated as a media of entertainment?" 2 my brother loves video games and since you like them too he wants to know this: "what do you think about video games to create a posable art or at least artistic pieces?"i wrote this one base on the film critic robert eger comment about the subject and the fact that kojima approve that statement what is your thought on it. "sorry for the long comment and my bad english" "love your vids im a fan of them and thanks ^_^"
Great vid, even though my question wasn't answered (which is totally cool btw). I feel that The Hobbit and The Amazing Spider-Man will be viewed more favorably in the future without a doubt (maybe even by you, Chris, lol).
I 100% agree with your view on prometheus. I love that movie, yes there are some problems I have with it but it is a really good movie. I'm sick and tired of people hating this movie just because it doesn't fit in well with the alien movies. they are so different and it's so unfair to judge it like that.
Hey Chris, just wanted to grab your thoughts on the upcoming theatrical release of the new Dragon Ball Z movie, "Battle of the Gods." And will you be reviewing it once it comes out? Also, do you think if it's a success, do you think the creators will make another tv series based upon it? Thanks.
Can you do a review on Paranormal Activity 4? Please! I wanna know what you think of it and if they should make more or not. Also how do you think they should close the franchise. Please do it! The forth one's ending pissed me off -.- because its like the same damn thing as the other.
Chris are you going to the substance film festival? If So can you please watch and review don Jon's addiction? That is Joseph Gordon Levitts directorial film debut
Chris, u should get with Jeremy Jahns, John Flickster, and the Schmoes Know and review a movie or movie franchise together. Like the Bond franchise. Just review all the Bond movies together, it would be hilarious.
I saw Prometheus opening day in Sweden (1 week before it opened in the US) and my opinion of it was set before the bigger part of the Internet had made up it's mind. It's a mess and I'l be surprised if it'll be considered anything more in the future. Ridley should've decided what movie he wanted to do before they started to film.
hey Chris are you going to see the new animated dragonball z movie Battle of Gods when it comes out in dub form? And if so are you gonna review it? It comes out this March
12:27 The Star Wars prequels. If there wasn't so much hate, I think people would be able to enjoy them for a lot more. I particularly enjoyed Episode III. Granted, the generation before me grew up with the OT, while I grew up with the prequels, so that has a lot to do with it...
Hands down the greatest movie reviewer on UA-cam. It's as simple as that.
YMS has changed my view on movies forever, although I can understand why people don't like him. But chris and jeremy are still pretty solid critics.
Dead Meat is better
Just watched 30 minutes of a guy answering questions I didn't ask.
No regrets.
Meant to comment on part 1. Don't know how this happened.
JohnnyBoy101 Well, aren't you a bowl of sunshine!
Atrijit Das Thank you, kind sir.
what is your favorite year of movies? my faverite is 1994 Shawshank redeption forrest gump pulp fiction and lion king
Running Lynx Don't forget Ed Wood!
Running Lynx Leon the proffesional, Ace Ventuera, Three colours red, Dumb and Dumber, the Mask, presila queen of the dessert, clerks, Hoop Dreams

Shelby Oaks, if I remember correctly...

Chris, I've been playing the metal gear games too and now I'm playing MGS3 from that same HD collection! Crazy, right?!? But seriously, best game series ever.
Heavy Rain is epic I'm glad someone else noticed that game!
I think seeing Chris and Jeremy on the same screen is going to blow my mind. By far the two best!
i can tell from watching your videos that you are a nice guy chris, you keep up the great vids and be sure to have a kick ass time when you hook up with jahns, john and the schmoes in L.A!
Best sponge bob impression ever

Dustin Davis its not about the opening weekend, its about the impact

Do it man, and good luck if you decide to do it.

The Exorcist & alien is two another films that was regarded failures way back when in the 1970s. 40 years on, greatest films ever.

Chris you are awesome - keep the awesome vids coming!
I have a question! Are you going to do an entire video talking about all the DVDs and Blu-Rays in your movie collection?
Great video Chris! I really like these Q and A videos. You should try to do them weekly or biweekly.
I think you are totally right about prometheus!!!
Awesome dude! Tnx 4 the video! U channel rocks!
@ChrisStuckmann Hey Chris I just wanted to say thank you for answering my question. I was so happy to see that you answered it. you're one of my favorite movie critics and I hope you become a big time director. Thank you so much

That is my dream and my goal. I will never stop trying. Thanks for replying
You're welcome. Good luck again!

Thanks for part 2 Chris!
Chris you truly deserve to have people asking you for an Autograph in the Daylight.

2 my brother loves video games and since you like them too he wants to know this: "what do you think about video games to create a posable art or at least artistic pieces?"i wrote this one base on the film critic robert eger comment about the subject and the fact that kojima approve that statement what is your thought on it.

I'm sick and tired of people hating this movie just because it doesn't fit in well with the alien movies. they are so different and it's so unfair to judge it like that.
Hey chris, did you answered all the questions that you recieved?
Chris, when you make it big in Hollywood don't forget the little guys!
Danny DeVito needs to be in more movies is what I'm saying.
I think you are so right about the internet. In my opinion, too much group think.
Finally, your videos rocks!
Thanks.

Spielberg and Scorsese both went to film school... its Paul Thomas Anderson and Tarantino, Kubrick (the list goes on) that didn't
I saw Prometheus opening day in Sweden (1 week before it opened in the US) and my opinion of it was set before the bigger part of the Internet had made up it's mind. I thought Daniel Day-Lewis was overtly over the top. His voice and his make-up did the acting for him, much like in Lincoln.
nice hair! make your face look smaller.
love you.
Resident Evil !!!! YES!!!!!!! :D
