One of the most beautiful art presentations I have ever seen! What enormous talent you have! You must have been practicing and studying for a long time, or you are especially gifted. Probably both!!

I wouldn't have thought this kind of delicate colour was possible from the Inktense. Thanks for showing your process.

Thank you for this. I've just finished painting a dahlia in acrylics and I used water colour pencils for some of the shadows. But watching this has made me want to get out my water colour paper pad and try to do it using water colour pencils because yours looked so wonderful. I've always found water colour a difficult medium to work with and that's why I've stuck with acrylics, but seeing the way you get the shadows and highlights using them, I am inspired to have another go!

I am so glad I WATCHED this
(in slower motion, the lowest motion I could.)
before I bought the Inktense pencils...
because I realized it doesn't take much to get
    such a beautiful effect.
Again, Thank YOU for sharing your Beautiful Art...
Remember, to paint in NORMAL speed next time...
We want to watch everything you paint...

I Love Inktense pencils and blocks. It's like magic when water brings the color to life! It reminds me of developing photos in a darkroom and seeing the image emerge from the developer bath. Thanks to you I understand the best way to use them is to lay down color one section at a time. Once the pigment is activated and "locked" by water, it's safe to add a different color without unintended mixing. Great tutorial! :)

I have seen varieties of dahlia blossoming in our garden since my childhood. My dad used to love red, yellow, orange, white and this purple color dahlia. Your painting is awesome especially the central part of the flower.I really loved the way you have painted it green and added shades of purple to the petal. This is exactly what I have seen...so natural...so true!!This clearly indicates how powerful your observation. Hats Off to you!
Big thank for sharing this video with us!!

I love your technique and delicate hand to get such a wide range with the pencils! I'm thinking of upgrading from a 24 set of Inktense Pencil to a 72 set. Would that be worth it?

Hi Anna! Thank you so much for the really cool timelapse. I’ve been trying to decide between the pencils and the blocks as a set for my upcoming birthday. Which would you recommend? What paper do you work on?

    • @annasnaturedrawings7694
      @annasnaturedrawings7694  6 років тому

I work on cold pressed watercolor paper. I like the pencils a lot, but I have never tried the blocks, so I can't tell you anything about the differences.

    • @annasnaturedrawings7694

I don't really remember. For the background I used apple green, teal green, leaf green and maybe black, for the stalk apple green, leaf green, maybe teal green. For the blossom I used fuchsia, deep violet, maybe black, maybe neutral grey, in the middle apple green, baked earth, maybe leaf green, maybe sun yellow, maybe bark.
