    I've scoured the Internet for all things "Inktense" in regards to fabric painting. Yours is THE most outstanding! I'd love to see more videos of this type work from you. Possible? I do hope so!!! Oh, btw...I could not locate the gelato/stencil video you referred to in this rooster video. And last but not least....my sincerest gratitude to you for sharing these inspirational Inktense artworks of yours! Bravo! ***smiles***

      I think this is the video I was referring to - (its a few years ago so I can't remember exactly but I think it must be this one!

    I really like your cushion. I have purchased some intense pencils to try out and I did not know you could use them on fabric so I am delighted to have come across your video as I also love to sew. Thanks for sharing.

    Greetings Jacqui - What brand or type fine permanent marker are you using for some of the line details at the end? Is it a Sharpie Ultra Fine? Or something similar? Great video! Thanks!

    • @JacquiHolmgren
      @JacquiHolmgren  7 років тому +5

      Hi!!I use a Staedtler finliner, but a sharpie would probably work just as well, just test that it doesn't bleed out into the fibres first. A Faber Castell Pitt pen would work as well.

    Spectacular! I love this. What type of fabric did you use? I tried using inktense with fabric medium on tshirt but it bled....

    • @dawnmason9558
      @dawnmason9558 7 років тому +4

      Margie King I use Aloe Vera gel & has never bled.

    • @JacquiHolmgren
      @JacquiHolmgren  7 років тому +2

      I used ordinary cotton fabric. Jersey (as in t-shirt material) is difficult because it's a knit but try ironing it onto some freezer paper first (piece of freezer paper on the inside back of the place you'll be drawing so it's flat and pressed down). You could also try wetting the fabric with a little fabric medium first and then drawing directly into the medium - you'll get stronger colour immediately, the pencil with be dissolved and you have more control over bleeding

    do you have to cure inktense pencil colored fabric (i.e. heat press/ iron) like what is usually done on fabric paints?

    Quite nice. Does the painting feel stiff on fabric?

    • @JacquiHolmgren
      @JacquiHolmgren  7 років тому +1

      No it doesn't - after the first wash, the fabric medium softens

  • @janineaufdemkampe2420
    @janineaufdemkampe2420 7 років тому +3

    how you fix them on fabric?

    • @JacquiHolmgren
      @JacquiHolmgren  7 років тому +9

      Hi Janine! As long as the pencils are dissolved with water - or in this case fabric medium, as soon as they have dried they are fixed. If you want to you can iron afterwards, but in my experience it's just the fact that they have been dissolved with water or medium that fixes them when they are dry.
