I have been using Derwent Inktense pencils for some time now and I really enjoy working with them. Inktense pencils are water soluble ink pencils and behave differently to water colour pencils, I have created this tutorial to explain how I use them.
In this video I will be using the pencils to colour the letter 'i' from my A-Z of Flora and Fauna Colouring book (an image of ivy and iris's)

I could watch you paint with inktense all day! I have both the 72 set of blocks and pencils and don't use them near enough. This video inspired me to bust them out and play! Thank you!
Thank you Nakiska, I have the ink blocks also, they were gifted to me by a friend but I have yet to use them, hope you ended up using yours in the end.

I have this book already, but so kind of you to share this as a freebie, I am going to give it a try as per your guide, but I only have the 24 Inktense pencils, not the the 72, like you, so hope I can still manage to get the right colours and shades you've used. Thank you Nahid, Yes I'm sure that you can achieve a great result with the 24 pencil set, if you can find 3 shades that are similar, like a light blue a dark blue and a purple, If you do decide to give it a go, I would love to see how it turns out. x

Thank you Anna, I'm really not sure who the music is by, I brought the rights to play it through a company called melody loops , I really thought it was calming and would go well with the video, I'm happy you appreciate it.
What's the best paper for these pencils?
I would say that a paper that can take the water without causing the paper to crinkle , I personally haven't tried any other paper then the paper in my books which are 170gsm. Maybe a watercolour paper would also work- but I've never tried to put that through a printer yet, I have some and can give it a go and post back on here once Ive tried, hope that helps Kelly
