This is also the secret of watercolour painting, acrylics too. I tried this out also in Photoshop and wow. It was like I suddenly found that moment everything clicked. I am also getting the book cause I'm sure there's a lot more to learn regarding values. I found the better you tighten your values up from very beginning, the better your painting becomes in regards to the colour. The muddines gone, lighting spot on as well as shadows. Just a couple days ago I did the layering approaching with watercolour and the result was incredible but only because of getting the values right. This video by far is most valuable video I have watched since using youtube for some years now.

Never ever ever get distracted by what "others say', *"Our Thoughts are Our Power"* Literally, *See: "Universal Law of Attraction", the Primary Design of Our Universe and the "How we each Create our own Reality", it is *Absolute,* and Quantum Physics Science Fact defined.
      *"Thoughts + Feelings X Belief"*

      Our Frequency*Attracts* like Vibrational Frequency.
Thoughts and Feelings are Energy that Vibrates on a Frequency.
A Desire is an Asking, the Law sees our feelings and belief's frequency and delivers the like, as if asked.

I appreciate realistic efforts, but I like impressionism better using a wet on wet to fill the canvas than go back to old school techniques . I draw my subjects straight on the canvas because I don't replicate paintings. All are unique and one of a kind. I'm self-taught from the age of 6.

architectural drawings often use a similar but much more explicit version of detail-highlighting where the most important parts of the picture are very detailed with regard to texture and light and then as you get further away they will fade into solid colours with minimal or no extra texture/lighting.

To vše nastudovat, prakticky natrénovat, zkoušet různé značky materiálů, štětců, médií, namalovat řadu děl, vyučovat, videa v AJ i ČJ, materiály, web, sociální sítě, marketing - sebepropagace, vydat knihu a k tomu chodit do práce a mít rodinu. Jsi machr :-) Musí to být vážně posedlost. Přeju Ti, ať se Ti daří, ať máš hodně energie to posouvat dál.

This is why they say, "Arts and Crafts". There are Robots that can paint these pictures. Still life drawings and painting can be a good exercise in eye/hand coordination. Contemporary art should be a reflection of your mind in its environment. Whatever that means to you.

    Great video, enjoyed it.
Do you have a video where you at least briefly described your preferred method of drawing, e.g., freehand, sight sizing, using a proportional divider, grids, etc.?

High! Do I need to apply leanseed oil before every layer? Thank you! Amazing work and great video ❤

Well, basically yes. When I do oiling up, the colors first regain their depth, and the paint blends more smoothly over the layer of oil. If you don't oil up every time, it will still work, but you'll miss out on the added benefits.

Hi, I bought your book and have been reading through it and paying close attention through this video. I cannot find a comment on why you leave the umber underpainting untouched in the grisaille painting. How do you decide when not to cover areas of the umber underpainting with grisaille?

    • @mateart

Hello, I make the umbra visible in shadow areas, and when I paint objects that have local red color, such as strawberries or red grapes.
