+Spuds McHaggis yeah not by much though lol. Still scraping just as much. But I do notice my chicken strips are about as small as they can possibly be. So that's cool
+Patrick Torres yeah. I've been thinking about having a bar made. I do t think I really like the OEM one that much and might have a custom one made. I'm considering it though!
Nice video! As an octane owner myself, I am loving the videos you are doing for the bike! Are you still planning on doing an after-install review of the front rotor you installed? I am curious what your impressions of it are now that it has had a chance to get broken in some. Has it seemed to have noticeably improved braking at all? I dont mind the stock front brakes, but I do feel like it could be improved a bit. Also, I am in need of a torque wrench and was wondering what you were using for one and what you thought of it?
+Moose17145 yeah I do plan on doing another review with more time spent with it. Definitely broke in better. I got mine as a gift. It was actually from harbor freight, so I wouldn't use it to torque something critical like head bolts or anything. Good enough for most things though. Thanks for your support!
I have the opposite problem. I need the extended reach controls but I guess the procedure is pretty much the same. Still on the fence about buying the Octane. They have some great deals out there right now. Do you still like your bike? Same say it runs really really HOT which wouldn't be a good thing on Hot summer days. Did you find it running HOT? Would you buy an Octane now that you know Victory is no more? I can get one for 7k which I think is a decent price but don't know if I should or not. Do you feel it's still a great bike?
I still like it! The Octane will get hot if you get stuck I. A lot of traffic, I’ve seen around 215 ish degrees, but when I get moving I get back to 177 quick. The Octane is number 6 or 7 depending on where you look. 6 or 7 as in, it is one of the fastest production cruisers out there! That’s pretty cool right?
Why would the Octane get Hot? It's liquid cooled just like the Vulcan S. The dealer near me pretty much sold all but 2 of the Octane's he had bought from Polaris. He also raised the prices on the remaining stock to $8499 plus taxes and fees. So I don't think I will go that route. I am going to stick with the Vulcan S for now ;-) Have a great day and ride safe!
+super fantastic I'm 5'6" and wear 30 inch inseam jeans. Stock peg location might be fine. I could have left them stock but I wanted to have them closer.
+Gilbert Diamond I got them on eBay from Spartan_Cycle they're a great small business that treats you like family. I highly recommend them to anyone. You can probably get them from your local dealer as well.
Apart for making it easier for shorter riders it also gives your pegs some more ground clearance!
Another great vid mate. Keep them coming!

LOL! Nice.
ive got the Virago 535 and its perfect for me as im only 5ft6. great video new sub 🙏
Super thorough video! Really wish they designed this bike with mid controls. Keep up the good work
+Detroit Dizzle agreed. I think Dean speed *might be making mid controls. It's definitely possible if you really really wanted it.
The Zach Ness Octane has mid mounts so it is possible to do.
Spuds McHaggis Thanks Spuds
+Detroit Dizzle check out Dean Speed Customs on Facebook. I saw them do mid controls so I'm sure you can get them made by them if you really wanted.
The octane is coming along nice, i am thinking you need the highway/crash bars now, it definitely goes with all your other options.
+Patrick Torres yeah. I've been thinking about having a bar made. I do t think I really like the OEM one that much and might have a custom one made. I'm considering it though!
Cool thanks

Great vid! It looks like your riding on Rt 34 in New Haven? Did I see Yale Bowl?

Thanks for the video sir. What is your height and the inseam you use for
jeans? Are the stock pegs comfortable for someone 5'8 and a 30" inseam?
+super fantastic I'm 5'6" and wear 30 inch inseam jeans. Stock peg location might be fine. I could have left them stock but I wanted to have them closer.
Where did you get the sissy bar?
Hey did you get the reduced reach seat too?
Will those octane reduce reach fit a 2014 jackpot?
I'd like to know my self
How much were they man? Great Video btw
+CreedX360 like $150 on eBay. Thanks for watching!
I wonder if this works with the bassani 2-1?
I don’t see why it wouldn’t honestly
if you don’t mind where do i find the reduced foot controls.

the shorter rod comes with kit?
