Engage and Apollo from Broken Fang definitely were fun maps to play, definitely needed some balancing but a real breath of fresh air from the dingy/"worn down" setting most of the CS maps have. fighting in a car factory and a space museum was a lot of fun, and wish it stayed after broken fang. (never got to play thrill on live servers, but the urban/"actual places you could be at" theme would be neat to play on, gives a sense of immersion on the whole ct/t thing of counter strike)
i got into cs2 about 6 months ago. Didnt get to see a lot of the old :GO maps, but I have played them on workshop. They're freakin nice. Biome, cache, assault, all good! just make them playable! just get rid of vertigo and maybe mirage, swap em out for something diff from the old pool
Although i do miss csgo i think cs2 is headed towards a good direction, the game will only improve. I also like the new graphics but thats comes with the cost of fps, id like to get at least 300 stable fps with my hardware but i can't (rx 7800xt and r5 7600x), i only get 240 fps 80% of the time its pretty stable.
I think they will release multiple maps and make new collections for cobblestone atleast and put them in to the armory pass, no way they would ever use the old cobblestone collection.
Its a good causal map because its huge and has lots of fun places to hide, camp, flank, and out manover. In Comp its not as fun becasue everything that makes it great in casual causes issues in comp.
Train is a really fun map to play, T's get out red a little fast in my opinion but it's fun and fairly balanced non the less. People are upset that it got changed because it's easier to complain then learn the changes. Also vertigo is painful to play in the map pool for Faceit, Comp, and Premier.
how is vertigo painful to play for regular folks? I hate the map for proplay as it's super boring and not fun to watch, however playing it yourself is actually very enjoyable for pugs, plenty of really nicely streamlined aimduels to take on t-side, and two fun pushes for cts to go for if they so decide
@@vyyr I have maybe a different view, the map is punishing to play if you dont practice it a lot, my view point is as a CS player and IGL for my Univeristy this map can be a nightmare for practiced teams. As a pug map in comp it can be fun, but to play at a decent tier, I and my team find it painful, plus its painful to watch in pro play and most teams in proleague dont play it except Mouze and Col on the regular.
Desperately want them to remove Ancient and Mirage from the map pool, reintroduce Overpass, put Train in the rotation and replace Train's Competitive slot with Cobblestone. I think that would be the perfect update, I don't really see why people want Vertigo gone more than Ancient or Mirage considering Mirage's staleness and how horrendous Ancient is and always has been to play.

That's wild how valve don't want to release 3 maps with names starting on 3rd letter of alphabet (Cobblestone, Cache, Canals).

The biggest issue in current map pool is obviously Dust II (and Vertigo but it's playable at least

having one big map pool would be fun but being able to ban like 1 or 2 maps u dont like
more maps would be nice I dont like them taking the maps away. eg mementos

Well Cache is probably the most played map at the new Swedish community Esplay, and its great!
