Cannot flash the zip? Install Magisk apk and copy the boot.img file from the switchroot build in the install folder to the SD card, patch the boot.img file with Magisk and then reboot to TWRP and go to install, install image and look for the Magisk patched boot.img file and flash it and select boot partition to flash the patched boot image. Then reboot and install root checker and then you will be rooted on Switchroot Android 10, Lineage OS 17.1!
@@etg9466 THANK YOU SO MUCH YOU BEAUTIFUL HUMAN BEING... I was stupid and installed the updated version of Magisk but with your help and some trials and tribulations i got everything to be installed w/ rooted switch. ILY you made my night.
When I tried to install Magisk from inside Android I get the upgrade prompt but then an error message appears "There was a problem parsing the package". Any ideas?
@@LOETECH Just a thought, I installed the slightly newer version of Magisk, v22.1, shouldn't make a difference but shall I try the same version you used? IF so, what's the best way to delete the version I have? I know I can simply uninstall from android but what about the flashing malarkey? Do I need to remove it from somewhere else too? i.e. twrp
@@LOETECH Think I'm just gonna run with ps play. I only wanted Magisk to use the official ps remote play. But the consensus seems to be that the latest version doesn't work even with Magisk
Are you able to use any of these options to connect to the Android Switch via MTP for USB file transferring? I'm wanting to gain access to the Retroarch install folders.
Hey your vids are awesome! Btw, how do i uninstall magisk? Get “there was a problem parsing the package” error when i want to install magisk from android, i think its because i installed another version
Try patching the Switchroot Android boot image in Magisk and flash the patched boot image in TWRP. That is how I rooted because I got install error 1 when trying to flash the Magisk zip. So I patched the boot image and flashed it in TWRP.

Btw make sure to install Magisk 22.0 because installing later versions could cause errors and probably corrupt your Switchroot Android build.

I would try to uninstall thru twrp. Then flash with version in video. If you cant uninstall just flash over it.

Is it the same if I go with the latest magisk v28? Or I should use v22?
Everything installed, but I have no modules. Advice?
You probably updated the Magisk app, you should use an older version because that's how I was able to get modules.

Yes
Does it still work with the latest switch?
Now do the PS4 remote play tutorial please :P
Unfortunately I do not currently have a PS4. A few viewers that have watched my Xbox, steam, moonlight video say PS remote play works fine.
