Hey, ive been trying to figure it out for 2 days already but when I put all the latest files for atmosphere and hetake into the root of my switch sd card the switch doesnt boot into hetake and just says no sd card. Im not sure what i did wrong maybe the sd card reader?
If you put the files properly, tried a different sd card, and tried formatting your SD card to exfat, it could just be your reader. If you're doing it with a V1/2 Switch make sure the SD card reader is seated properly.
@@DNAMobileGaming thanks for the reply, I got the title key files now, but now, I have -"A fatal error occurred whin running atmosphere - Program ID : 010041544d530000 - error Desc : std:: abort() called (0xffe)" I looked up what to do, it said to deleted named as the program ID in the contents folder but I don't have any thing with that ID. You don't need to transfer anything apps like Gold leaf can directly install to your SD card. Your card also doesn't get formatted to Fat32 on the partition is set this way.
Because I want to put NSP ROMs on the SD card to install them with Tinfoil, the problem is that if the SD card is FAT 32, you can't put files larger than 4 GB on the SD card. That's why I ask if I can also format my SD card to exfat when I prepare it with atmosphere
@Bari2000 just connect an external drive or PC and install them from there. I've done this with plenty of my game backups without having to transfer games to the card, install them, then move them back to my computer again.

Thanks for the reply. I found the issue. Basically I bridged one of the connectors that was not supposed to be bridged. After I fixed the connections everything worked fine.
This is the latest firmware I don't have anything higher nor does it need anything higher at this time however you do need to update the firmware files if you're on a later version of your switch.
I have used the rcm method but i want to install a mod chip so i do not have to inject the bootloader everytime i restart the console. Can i just use my current SD card after the installation of the mod chip? So far i could not tell any differences between this setup and the one ive already made :)
The RCM method only works with the V1 Switch that isn't patched, this is hard modded meaning you don't need to connect it to your pc or anything it just works off the Pico chip.
New versions of Hekate and Atmosphere was released, I updated both to your "All Files" directory. And I noticed that "Bootloader" and "Config" folders were not updated and pretty much untouched. Does this need to be updated too?
@@DNAMobileGaming Yeah that's what I meant, I went to the 2 links you provided in the description and updated both Hekate and Atmosphere. I found the newest sigpatch else where but now I see that people have 3 bootloaders (something toolbox), it appears there are millions of ways to setup everything. Do you think you can make another video for 18.1.0? All the AIO sites that I found are all taken down already... Also, after looking into your hekatepl.ini I noticed that it's from the DeepSea AIO from Team Neptune. Should I just use that for the time being?
Did you copy all of the files from my video to your SD card, then update them with the latest version of Atmosphere and Hakate after by copying the folders? Oh and is your Switch Lite hacked?
You can try the Sony brand I've never owned a Sony Micro SD card but if it's a good card that is SDHC A1V30 or better than sure why not. Just don't cheap out on the card you use.
So I actually installed the chip today (I didn't solder it correctly so I have NO clue how its working properly (I'll fix it eventually), but I've made it to the partitioning point and instead of my files being automatically backed up and restored, I have to do it manually. I'm not exactly sure what I'm looking for, so I just saved my screenshots and images, but do you think everything will still work properly if it formats the sd card with all of the mod stuffs on it? I guess I'll be the one letting you know, but any info on manually "SD UMS"ing would be fantastic. Also, thank you for these tutorials! They were amazing!!
Hey so when you partitioned the SD card this is creating a fake Nand basically to run the firmware off the SD card rather than the Switch. So your files if you had anything saved on your SD card from your non hacked switch should still be there so as long as you have a card bigger than 64 GB because the partition takes up 30GB ish. Backing everything up is done by USB C to your PC as well, so when you watch the part about backing up your name and other files you need to connect your switch to your PC to copy this over which is approx 30gb as well alongside your keys and screenshot etc. I hope that all makes sense written out, also you're welcome.
@@DNAMobileGaming actually that does make sense! but now theres a new issue.. I ended up resoldering the resistors just to see if it’d make a difference, and I still end up with the same issue. Im guessing that means youre using exfat since mario kart is nearly 7gb? Any advice would be appreciated, your guides have been super helpful so far. Thanks.
Excuse my ignorance and I may be answering my own question but wanted to check with you. So several years ago I did this with my switch with CFW. I remember doing most of this to set it up. Now I was going to get a switch lite with the modchip but it looks like I’m having to do all those same steps as years ago with the SD card. Am I missing what the chip is for? Is it the actual CFW now? But you still have to install all these programs, etc. Great video btw.
The chip flashes a hack using the RasPi chip so it's permanent no jigs or anything needed. The reason you need the software setup after is because you're running your Switch off the SD card initially instead of the nand. The chip needs these files including the preload flasher because it needs to read the firmware of Hakate for example to run on the Switch.
Thanks for the info. Will I have to continually update all the stuff on the sd card like in the past even with the chip? Trying to see what the benefits are for getting the chipped switch vs the old method. I means yes I remember the jig. That was a slight pain.
I have Switch Lite with 18.1.0. Will adding modchip to it allow me to load up hetake? I have ordered one from AliExpress and its suppose to get delivered in few weeks

Well, let me explain my situation a little bit: 1. My system is a V2, and updated to 18.1 (or something like that, I can’t check rn. But it’s a later version than yours) with no games, a completely fresh system/profile 2. So I downloaded the Hekate and Atmosphére files for that version. (I only downloaded the top download on each github page). After extracting both of those folders, I only had five items as opposed to your eight 3. In the vid when you grabbed the two payloads, nothing shows up on mine. So I skipped that part. Then, later in the vid when those parts would show up, nothing showed again. But I thought, based on some comments, that that was just because I had no games yet, so I ignored it. Now, everything up until actually launching seems to have worked fine, but now when I try to launch it says something about missing bootloader for hekate. So what gives? Should I just restart, wipe the sd and try again, and do something different? Thanks for tour response and help!
@kerrybarneyiii1202 well that's why, I state in the description if you're not on 18.0.0 then use my files and update them according. I also tell you where to place the payloads after getting the latest versions. Hope that helps.

I was checking and saw that there were updates. I installed the updates and at the moment, a blue screen appears regardless of whether it boots from the original or emmc.

the 2nd questions is i have a Switch with a modchip so how can i format it and rehacket like you
the last one is if i have a different modchip would that matter ??
No the jig isn't required, if you have a chip installed you just need to setup the SD card again, not sure if other pico boards are different the only thing that might be different is the loader on those boards but I'm not sure as I've always used the ones shown.

@@DNAMobileGamingthanks for your answer! Really appreciate it! Do I need to update everything from scratch or is there only a new Hekate etc. necessary?
@Febmaster so what I've been doing. First I follow my own guide which is this one. Then I make sure to check that all files are on the SD card still from the files shared. Then I copied the updated Hakate/Atmosphere and booted CFW.
@@DNAMobileGamingthanks a lot! Finally it is working after updating the files with latest Hekate 6.2.1 and Atmosphere 1.7.1 and running the archive bit fixer in Hekate.

You don't need to transfer anything apps like Gold leaf can directly install to your SD card. Your card also doesn't get formatted to Fat32 on the partition is set this way.
@@DNAMobileGaming No, you didn't understand me correctly when I prepare the SD card, do I have to format it FAT32 or does Exfat also work?
Because I want to put NSP ROMs on the SD card to install them with Tinfoil, the problem is that if the SD card is FAT 32, you can't put files larger than 4 GB on the SD card. That's why I ask if I can also format my SD card to exfat when I prepare it with atmosphere
@Bari2000 just connect an external drive or PC and install them from there. I've done this with plenty of my game backups without having to transfer games to the card, install them, then move them back to my computer again.

@@DNAMobileGaming thank you. I added it. I really appreciate it.
Once I try to load the cfw (emummc), the screen goes black and nothing else happens. same with cfw (sysnand), but the stock sysnand launches with no problems. any idea?
@bojay_b did you make sure to follow everything word for word?
@@DNAMobileGaming I did, and I thought I replied but I suppose not? It’s because the version of hetake that you’ve provided is out of date, all it needed was an update !

So do I just use the updated versions of hetake and atmosphere and put those on the root of the SD card instead of the ones on the video? Will that work.
What about storing the backup on the sd card? Providing it’s big enough. Is that possible?
What do you mean? Are you referring to storing the nand backup at the one part? If so store it on your computer somewhere.
@@DNAMobileGaming yes, the roughly 30gb back up. Though on second thought if the SD card is corrupted it’s pretty useless.

Of course not you don't need anything in your payload.

Only required if you had games already installed mostly. No problem too ☺️
Mine did not have those two payloads 👀
What do you mean?
Well, let me explain my situation a little bit:
1. My system is a V2, and updated to 18.1 (or something like that, I can’t check rn. But it’s a later version than yours) with no games, a completely fresh system/profile
2. So I downloaded the Hekate and Atmosphére files for that version. (I only downloaded the top download on each github page). After extracting both of those folders, I only had five items as opposed to your eight

Does this still work with firmware 8.1?
I don't think it works all the way back to version 8.1 that must be a really old firmware I don't even know what the first version was.
Do you know when you will get the following tutorial?
Btw, really liked your tutorial :)
What following tutorial exactly? Also thank you glad it helped!
How to update it to 19.0?
Just update all the files to the latest version of Atmosphere and Hakate.
Cant install Tinfoil for some reason...
Did you navigate to photos icon and click the Tinfoil installer?
@@schmutzhaufen5348 you need to update to the latest firmware.
does this work on the oled?
Yes it does, it's the same for all Switches if they have the Pico chip installed.
@ how do i get the pico chip installed? and could this ban me?
Followed step by step on my Switch about 4 times, updated to 18.1.0 but I get a 2162-0002 error code; very frustrating.
This is only for 18.0.1
@@DNAMobileGaming I'm aware of that but what I meant was that I followed the intructions for updating to the 18.1.0 since that is the version on my switch at the moment and have been getting error codes nonstop. I was following the instructions you gave on some of the commenters having the same issues. Thanks for the reply! Been watching your videos lately; hopefully there's a fix for this soon.
Oh okay, so what you need to do first is update the firmware files. Load them into the Switch. Follow these steps and it'll work. I've tested it with a few devices I recently hacked.
@@DNAMobileGaming Lexar SD cards, FAT32, 7-zip, RP2040 chip. I have tried deleting/updating atmosphere and bootloader. During the process, I even connect to the PC to make sure the files are still in there before I boot. I have tried booting with CFW SYSAND and emuMMC and the error code pops up after showing the "Nintendo Switch" logo. It shows me all the boot options shown in Hekate as seen in the video so it's fine up to that point at least. I have watched more than 5 UA-cam tutorials and nothing. Followed every single step. I had a clean Switch, no existing files, no themes, etc. Read a bunch of forums.... no luck. I'm offering a $20 bounty if anyone can fix it lol
@@DNAMobileGaming Hey man, quick little update: pretty sure my switch got bricked for some reason; don’t know if it was software or something shorted. Apparently the error code I was getting can happen with RP2040 chips. I attempted the exploit again but used the HATS pack, a different switch, and an older version of switch firmware and everything is working with this one. Thanks for trying to help me out with the other one; it’s a shame that I couldn’t fix it with anything but at least I have one that works now. Thanks for your videos!
I get this error after trying to launch emummc can anybody help?
Error while loading fss0: atmosphere/package 3 Wrong ini cfg or missing/corrupt files! Failed to launch HOS!
That is because this is for 18.0.1 not 18.1.0 you need to update everything.
is this same for switch lite?
Well yes as the Switch Lite is part of the thumbnail 😝
does it works with V18.1.0 ?
I answered this already
@@DNAMobileGamingyou actually said it works for V18.0.1 so does it work for both or only 18.0.1? Or is that the same thing
@kyledavis912 v18.1.0 is the latest version of the Switch. All you need to do if you're doing this with 18.1.0 NOT 18.0.1 (which is shown here) is use my base files shared then copy the latest version of Hakate/Atmosphere overwriting the old files in the corresponding folders.
@@DNAMobileGaming thank you dude. The first person to actually give me a straight forward answer.
Does this work for 19.0.0?
Yup it sure does you just need to copy my files then update Hakate/Atmosphere with the latest files.
@DNAMobileGaming thank you!!
dumping my nand was over 50gb and took nearly an hour!
Did you have a lot of games installed? If so that's why.
@DNAMobileGaming I did, guess I made life more difficult for myself trying to get ahead of the game. I'm still following the steps, but thanks for the video
@@DNAMobileGaming Followed all the steps and get HOS version not supported or emuMMC corrupt when trying to boot into CFW. Weak. Any suggestions?
You have the wrong files for your Switch then, you need to use the latest guide on the channel that has all the files in one place.
I think you should have a Discord community 😅😅😅 tbh
Hey I do have Discord regarding the program for overclocking I didn't share this with these because I didn't want to get into this too deep. It's easy to setup though with Sys-Clk just do some Googling though there's quite a bit surrounding this online.
@DNAMobileGaming okay... i will research sys-clk thank you very much... how do i join the discord? I really like your videos sub over 1 month ago
Nice
Ngl 12gb is more than enough for a emummc
Thanks that vid makes brick 🧱 it
Pardon?

Do everything and got
A fatal error occured when running Atmosphere.

Error Desc: std::abort() called (0xffe)
I don't know if I'm wrong or not... I tried downloading latest atmosphere version and paste all the folder inside my switch sd and it worked.. I guess the atmosphere version is not compatible with the 18.1.0? But now Tinfoil "can't start software"
This is for 18.0.1 not 18.1.0, but yes all you had to do is copy all the updated versions of Hakate/Atmosphere overtop of my files shared. Then follow the steps, you also need to get the latest version of Tinfoil, it's super buggy though with 18.1.0 I find.
wow what a disappointment site i Tried to click but An Error
Files are fixed I was cleaning up my database and must've deleted the wrong files. They're there now thanks for letting me know.
@@DNAMobileGaming your welcome
Merci
Bienvenue 😁
Tinfoil 😏
What about Tinfoil?
Followed every step but when i go to the launch they said
"No main boot entries found
Check that bootloader/hekate_ipl.ini has boot entries or use More configs button for more boot entries"
Any idea how to fix this ?
Edit: wait i fixed it now
I've explained how to fix this already but haven't released a video because by that point version 19 will come out for the Switch.
How did you fix this? I lost all my files, added them back and still have this issue. This is the 3rd time I have tried to do this install. :(
@@DNAMobileGamingI know you’ve said you explained the solution but I can’t seem to find it anywhere, any chance you could please point me in the right direction. Thank you very much
