Hi! Any chance you could try to use different types of stylus on the bottom screen? I'm thinking of getting this to scratch my niche enjoyment of "animating/drawing on a Nintendo DS" but now it has proper PC software, so how does it stack up using different stylus? Any native support?
Love this clamshell its the best design because the screen is tilted at an angle so comfortable for viewing and doesnt strain your neck. Its just too bad the import cost for this is gonna be too high to consider.
How is cemu on this ? It feels like the bottom screen should be bigger and more centered however this is the first device other than the steam deck that i have considered getting as a companion to my SD. Competing with valve for a traditional handheld will be hard embrace the wacky alternative designs. Sadly AYA never stops releasing so a v2 will be out by next year so i think i will wait and see how it improves.
Not too bad for what seems a first like a more niche product. The I/O is good. I can't comment on the mouse option but there has always been a very usable and reliable mouse function that was built into IBM laptops decades ago, the red nipple. Some manufacturers might want to consider it as an option. I really dislike the opening line of the description "Unleash the future of handheld gaming with the AYANEO Flip DS! ". This comes across as a company advertising statement, rather than in independent review, so I watched with great scepticism.
So based on the stats, tdp of 30w brought the battery duration down from 1 hour 11 mins to 41mins from 84% Is that interface also telling us that it will take 2 hours 5 mins to fully charge the device from 33%? I suspect that it will be much lower with the lower screen disabled as well as increasing battery life as well. Idle on windows desktop with TDP of 18w show battery duration of 1 hour 21 mins. Overall I think that is pretty decent.
I'm curious about what it is like to use this for productivity purposes, would like to know more about the on-screen keyboard and if it is possible to use the second screen as a pseudo drawing tablet.
This is a nice channel to hype up products and let consumers find out faults for themselves. 🤔 Thank you for the channel, I think this is time for me to say buhbye.
This is a good example for the argument for diversity and variety in Handheld Gaming *PCS* People have different preferences in sizes, form factors, designs, specs, features, power and prices. PCs are NOT static consoles and don't want them to all be variants of the Steam Deck or ROG Ally.
i initially hated this design when it was first announced but seeing it here, it looks pretty okay. very thick obviously but i do like the thought of my adhd brain getting to watch two things at once.
This is dream device for me! I love the 3DS however my main issue with it, was the display quality! It was simply crap, which limited the enjoyment greatly. This looks brilliant!
I plan to move in about 4 years I hope there's a new version of this in 3-4 years. The cpu and internal gpu ins't upgrade friendly, and i'm not ready for a new pc yet. I'm going to use it as a PC version of Nintendo Switch. I really hope Aya Neo makes one in 3-4 years. finally something for ds
Sadly AYA never stops releasing so a v2 will be out by next year so i think i will wait and see how it improves.
also want to see how the home-brew community embraces this @ 7:00 you can see the bottom screen is just a window with a title bar
I'm curious about what it is like to use this for productivity purposes, would like to know more about the on-screen keyboard and if it is possible to use the second screen as a pseudo drawing tablet.
i kinda wanna see a gta v mod made specifically for that bottom screen so you can see the weapon wheel or map on it. thatd be so cool
Good introduction, but how's the battery life looking on this device?
Why did the screen freeze at end of the forza demo while you were still controlling it? game freeze?
Probably.
This is a nice channel to hype up products and let consumers find out faults for themselves. 🤔 Thank you for the channel, I think this is time for me to say buhbye.
This is a good example for the argument for diversity and variety in Handheld Gaming *PCS*
People have different preferences in sizes, form factors, designs, specs, features, power and prices.
PCs are NOT static consoles and don't want them to all be variants of the Steam Deck or ROG Ally.
i initially hated this design when it was first announced but seeing it here, it looks pretty okay. very thick obviously but i do like the thought of my adhd brain getting to watch two things at once.
I would have totally got this... if I didn't just get an Air 1S before this was announced...
This is dream device for me!
I love the 3DS however my main issue with it, was the display quality!
It was simply crap, which limited the enjoyment greatly.
This looks brilliant!
I do wanna see Wii U running on this. Also maybe a stress test with modern games without an external GPU.
I'll buy an AMD Flagship egpu (or nvidia if not available.), a dock to go with it and use it as a desktop.
This how imagined the next ds will look like before 3ds reveal many years ago
I hope new 3D handhelds come out like the 3DS
It's so heckin awesome until you see the price, it's unobtainium!
