Missed the live feed but enjoyed the video. . The old impact driver gods gift to mechanics. Been working on bikes for over 40 years and worn out several impact drivers over the years bikes are like outboards metal screws on alloy equal impact needed lol. I am in port Stephen’s Love it here im in Raymond terrace love being close to the water. Cant wait for more boat vids keep em coming mate.
Thanks mate, yeah it's the most used tool in the shop it recon. I'm pushing to get some work done on Kiarra so hopefully the more regular vids will start back up again soon 👍
Nice work m8, Talking to yourself is one way of getting a good conversation, but if you argue with yourself, you will loose! Is this the one you got from your Uncle? Really liking the long screwdriver, the hammer, and the shifter. Perseverance! Real good, learned somethin. With or without the WD40, theres can in the van and I have 3 or 4 others round the house. My m8 prefers 'start ya bastard' for most jobs, Good boat, you got, late 50s early 60s, might drop it in the Classic Area. Nice catch bloke! Started watching at 2300 Sun,2330 bed. finished off bout 1330 Mon. Was here for the 'Movie' ref. Thanks, really nice work, I can a motor apart now, and look for stuff! ✋ [Hi 5]
Thanks mate, I can admit to loosing an argument or 2 lol. Smacking the back of a screw driver can work well to shock the threads sometimes but not a guarantee by any means. Thanks for all the support too mate it doesn't go unnoticed and is much appreciated 👍
I know this is an old video but remember UA-cam is full of videos to help you tear down these motors when you don’t know how. It was hard seeing you with the hammer 😂
Tip: If you have stubborn bolts or nuts apply some heat to them. Of course, this trick only works if you do not set anything on fire around said bolts. ;)
First and foremost my apologies for missing the live stream but congratulations for achieving something that other UA-cam channels have failed to which is for the watch from start to finish😊 I really enjoyed it and like you could believe the type of bearings that the engine had. I've never seen solid bearings on a two stroke before and how it hasn't locked up solids never to run again. I just can't work out how the bearings got enough lubrication. Gary 🇬🇧🇬🇧
All good mate I'm grateful you came back and watched it afterwards. I was very surprised to see bronze bush and like you mentioned how the hell do they get enough lubrication to not lock up is beyond me.
Was there fasteners under the ignition components that hold a retaining ring for the advance plate? I was busy today, otherwise I mighta been watching..... Ahh, you found em....
Hi mate and sorry for the delay in response. I'm very happy you watched the video but the actual live version was held quite some months ago. I am thinking of doing another live stream in the not to distant future to do a bit of an update on things and hopefully catch up with everyone
I have been to Port Stephens (2014) and Nelson bay (2008), verry good spot to whalewatch in september. i went on "Spirit of port Stephens" and it broke down at sea. the police towed us back in to the harber. that was a fun experiens :)

Live and learn shame would have been a great little engine, if it had seen abit of love in its life. Definitely i think they call these an uneconomical repair. 👍
I can see they're a very well built unit inside just a shame this one had a hard life. It may of been cooked also going off the amount of crud in the water jacket
Hi pal I am from Cambridge England been watching your videos since you sold your Kawasaki GPX 750R I had the exact bike that you had I have a Kawasaki zrx1200s cool bike are you still in to bike pal👍💯💯👍
Hi mate, was a fantastic bike to own and ride. I miss it from time to time, I bet the 1200 is a fun ride. Yeah mate still very much into bikes and always will be. I don't have one on the road right now unfortunately but I do have a GPZ750 turbo that is halfway through a nut and bot rebuild. Thanks for the support and hopefully you keep watching 👍
@@HarpersShed hi pal yes the Kawasaki zrx1200s is a lot of fun but I am loving you channel between your yacht your bikes your cars and your dinghy with the engine you have a lot going on a lot of fun as well I would like to see your GPZ750 on your youtub channel one day it sounds interesting May GPX 750 r was exactly the same as your one black with red it was a cool bike thank you pal for a dood UA-cam channel thank you👍👍💯
@@Gary-jk2oe thanks mate, I do have lots going on that's for sure. Hopefully one day I will get the GPZ750 turbo out of the corner and into the spotlight mate.
Funny and gringy to watch someone who has zero knowledge of OMC outboards to disassemble the powerhead. Those are super easy to work with if you know the correct procedures. In the "unseizing" video you broke the pin that every one brakes if they don't know about it. The pin is for keeping the lower cranck seal spring in tension. Without the tension in the lower seal, there will be leak in the crank chamber

you are aware that screwdriver handles are designed to accept a spanner/socket to aid in tightening/loosening screws....🙄😆😎😎
Live and learn I guess, I knew that is possible I just did think about it at the time.
Damn shame. Most of these motors die through neglect or owner error... 😑
It is mate, I think it would of made a fantastic unit for the tender
Hi, the picture is/was too blurry to see details, not sharp! Too bad the engine was run without oil. Buy another one? Renovate? Do not give up.
Hi mate, I think next time I will try to use an actual camera for the feed and not just the camera in the laptop.

Certainly never calmed to be an expert on outboard engines, especially older units.
Your feed is screwed up
I think it comes good again, next time I will use a proper camera for the video instead of the one in the laptop.
You look like you have l9st a bit of weight since i last watched you
