    No arguing with her. She's seeing and understanding his brilliant singing. He's perfectly phrasing his singing. He's perfectly singing this song. He's not saying the words, he's singing brilliantly and perfect. She's 100% right on her thinking. At his age and his vast experience, he has total command of the stage and his audience. Frank had many more years left. She has the feel how she listens. Keep up the great reactions you two.

    Huge props to the young lady in this reaction. She felt, listened, and heard Sinatra’s gift. He pulls you in. He softens and elevates when needed. He draws you in and sets the tone for the story he’s about to tell. Sorry but this guy has no clue, I think he came in with a preconceived notion. He was already giving the gold to Elvis and his recording when he hadn’t even heard it nor given Frank the opportunity to finish the song. To the young lady, open up Sinatra’s vast recordings I know you’ll appreciate one of the greatest performers to ever live. Remember before there was the Beatles, Elvis, Micheal Jackson, any countless other huge talents there was and will always be one FRANK SINATRA!

    It's not a 5 or 6 rating. It's a 10. She loved it. Elvis has a different interpretation in his brilliant singing.

    She gets it. This is brilliant storytelling in a song. The build up is what makes it.

    It's called song dynamics. You're not supposed to sing the entire song in the same volume with the same emphasis and the same energy. It's telling a story. He's in the middle of Madison Square Garden, creating an intimate moment with thousands of people. LIVE. With no auto-tune. At 58 years old.

    Before Elvis, the Beatles or Michael Jackson, Frank was the OG. He was the first Crooner to make women cry and faint at his concerts. Also take notice that he was singing this towards the end of his life and his energy wasn't the same but his phrasing and timing was magical. It's really hard to believe that the young girl understood and felt the song better than the gentleman. WOW!!!! Maybe in a few decades, he'd listen to this song again and get it.

    Considering how the music scene looks these days you guys are arguing between Elvis and Frankie. Two legends, while nobodies like Taylor Swift (can't hum a bar on any song of her) rules the school. Fuck modern music scene. Keep enjoying the legends guys.

    I’ll be honest watching her from the beginning and how she was feeling it like she said “you can feel it in your soul” and this dude ripped it away. The joy she was having being drawn in to the song and once he paused it and shit on it she had to regretfully go into defense mode cause this dude has no clue what good music is. I hope you have the chance to watch this again alone and enjoy fully what Sinatra was conveying without interruption. Please do a review on some of Sinatra’s other songs solo!

    😂😂 Love the debate. Your sister is correct in a way. Frank Sinatra is brilliant, but I have to agree with you. Elvis' version is so much better. Elvis sings with so much soul and so much passion that these lyrics hit completely different when he sings it. I'm going through your videos and I can't wait to get to Elvis' version to see both of your reactions.

    • @nollaeel5697
      @nollaeel5697 4 місяці тому

      I get why some people prefer Elvis but at the same time, I don't. You can say 'sure Elvis did it his way', if you mean he drugged and overate his way to an early grave. But Sinatra truly did do it his way and often came out a winner and made it to 82. That is why the lyric is so much more appropriate for him, not Elvis!

    • @nollaeel5697
      @nollaeel5697 4 місяці тому

      Furthermore, it is well known that Sinatra really did not like the lyric of the song because it was so triumphalist and bombastic, which is how he recorded it in the studio in late '68. But as the years passed, the interpretation changed - as here - to reduce the "look at me, aren't I a demi-god?" vibe, which I think is why Elvis' "pedal to the metal" version is appealing for so many.

    • @courtneynairn508
      @courtneynairn508 4 місяці тому

      @@nollaeel5697Lyrics aside. I was referring to Elvis' delivery of the song. So much more powerful than Sinatra's version.
      Furthermore, saying Elvis "drugged and overate his way to an early grave" is extremely disrespectful.
      Elvis was given prescription drugs by a professional physician, medication to help him with his medical problems, mainly anxiety and insomnia. However, these prescription drugs were highly addictive. Not Elvis' fault. When your doctor prescribes you medication, you trust that they are giving you something that will help. People get addicted to prescription drugs all the time, it's not uncommon, and once the drug has you, it's almost impossible to stop.
      I'm sure Elvis didn't CHOOSE to get addicted, and judging him over something that was totally out of his control isn't fair, which is kinda what you implied when you said "You can say 'sure Elvis did it his way', if you mean he drugged and overate his way to an early grave", or something to that effect. I'm paraphrasing right now.
      Also, I'm assuming that you are referring to Elvis' "size" in 1977, when you say he "overate". Yes, his diet wasn't the healthiest, but the way he looked in 1977 had nothing to do with overeating. He had some serious medical problems, which left him bloated....medical problems that were hereditary. His mom and daughter passed away of the exact same medical problems. His mom was also bloated before she passed away.....
      This information comes straight from the Memphis Mafia when they were asked about Elvis' "weight" at the end.
      If you really looked into it, during 1977, within days of each other, you can see he looks more bloated one day and then less bloated a few days later, etc. This was not fat.
      I was not trying to be disrespectful to Frank Sinatra when I commented that I preferred Elvis' version of this song.
      Furthermore, maybe I misinterpreted your comment about Sinatra reducing the "look at me, aren't I a demi-god", then saying people may find Elvis' pedal to the metal version more appealing.
      Are you saying that Elvis' version is him boasting and referring to himself as a demi-god? If so, then I'm sorry, but I have to disagree with you. Elvis was the most humble person ever. He never put himself above others. If that's not what you meant, then please elaborate.
      Have a good day. ✌🏻

    All elvis did was steal a bunch of songs and techniques, never gave any credit, made a couple of decent songs and mostly "okay" songs. And then he wears a onesie and dies on the fucking toilet. I can already tell looking at this guy on the left that he would probably empathize with someone like that.

    You are so wrong and she is so right! No way is this just okay - yes l love the Elvis version but you are making a big mistake going on about it in direct comparison to Franks - Frank Sinatras is different and whole setup of it is more laid back until the finale but Sinatras is still filled with feeling also...l mean come on how can you not hear the voice and what that conveys whilst singing it. And this being even in his elder years he still put that emotion into it. There is a very good reason why Sinatra was called the voice of the century, and it is that emotion in his voice that is in this, just okay - it isn't!
