My buddy and I hit Kinni damn near every weekend last year. If it wasn't this one, it was Willow or Whitetail. Kinni by far is the best!

Most definitely a trip worth taking from the metro area. I honestly think that taken as a whole, from layout to construction to location, its the best 'metroish' trail we have. Very close to Whitetail if you want a twofer.

Great video.. wonderful trail... they just finished and opened skullcap.. 2 more miles of fast descents, jumps, switchback climbs and beautiful forest...

Cool, I was at Willow River today. Kinnickinnic is my favorite of the two but Largemouth Bass is the best trail between the two.

@@BrianVaughn there are 2 new trails at willow (one open, one under construction) that connect to the flow trails without having to climb up to the switchbacks.. its a bit of a hike through featureless trails but it is less annoying... check it out on trailfroks...

@@fernandoferrell5731 I was just out there a week ago. I rode Rabbit Run. It was a lot of climbing to get back there but I did it 3x.

Im really glad you left all the sections together in your edit. I had a hard time with this. While it does make the video longer It shows the tru colors of the trail! I'm looking forward to going back and checking out the other new trails.

I figured since there wasn't much out there on this trail, a longer video would be helpful. There are a lot of trail intersections and you can really pick and choose or redo just parts you want.

Love that the Trail Renaissance is happening! These trails definitely look fun, fast, and flowy! I'm definitely going to have to get out here and to Pinehurst!

There are a few good trails getting built in Wisconsin. Some good terrain out there to ride.

Thanks for this Brian. I have been wanting to get over and try Kinnickinnic and Willow River for a bit now. I will have to make that happen.

It's a hike for you but if you have a day, you can hit a couple trails. There are a few that are right across the boarder.

looks cool, it would be sweet if those boulders you pointed out get incorporated someday.

You'd probably need to add a ramp up, bridge and ramp down. Tough to move without machines.

Tried to ride out there a couple of days ago but got skunked at the trailhead when the skies opened up and it started pouring. 🤦‍♂

After discovering your videos I think this is now on my short list. I have a 6 year old that was able to ride Grimm's Grind at Monarch. I'm thinking the Puff Ball loop might be doable for him. Hopefully I'll get out there next week.

Hey Brian, listening to your video again today, I noticed that you said there are 3 Western Wisconsin MTB trails.. Kini, Willow, and something mounds... I could not make out what you were saying.. what is the "mounds" park you were talking about on the video??? Thanks

    • @BrianVaughn
      @BrianVaughn  Рік тому +1

Levis Mounds is another state park trail near Black River Falls. You can find it on my channel from a few years back. The thumbnail has me going between the two large rocks.

Make sure you do your research before hitting Levis Mounds. It’s a big trail system so you definitely want to hit what’s appealing to you if you make the drive

Do you need to buy a daily pass since it’s in a state park?

im not a fan, compared to the available trails, this one is purely cross country. the features are non existent which is fine, just know that this is a place you go for fitness training. lol
