Yeah Bryson is crazy good. Every time I ride with him he gets better and is probably better than me even though I’m older. We will definitely be hearing from him in a few years.
After watching this video for the third time I sent it to every one I ride with. It is in my opinion the best non-professional riding video out there. Absolutely love the trails and the continent. At 63 years of age I do not have the physical strength to even attempt to ride like this nor do I have the hand eye coordination anymore. Thank you for what you do. Again absolutely love this video. I usually avoid the POV type videos on any topic, but you actually talk your way through them, about the trail, or even about the history of the area you're riding. I enjoy your POV's. There is another rider from B.C. who is very watchable. At 52, and surviving 7 cancer diagnosis, I am looking at getting back on a bike, getting back into shape, and having fun riding bikes. You make it look fun, and honestly, your personality is so friendly, and sincere. Thank You Phil!
As a new person to the world of downhill coming from a lifetime of big mountain skiing you guys have all my respect in the world. That kid you were riding with is an absolute beast half of this stuff I watch is way to gnarly for me to even try. I remember when I was a kid growing up skiing and just how awesome it felt when older more advanced skiers would give me there time and take me around the mountain. It’s a beautiful thing to see that is still a thing in the world.
I told myself to just relax and cruise down, but as I've mentioned before, when there's a clock ticking, it's really hard to override your race instincts. It's one of the reason's I never use strava.

You should give mtb a chance should you have the means, you can get yourself out there on a used hardtail for sub $500. I just bought my first bike like 3 weeks ago cause I just got hooked on these vids. Took almost 2 weeks just to get used to biking in general again (been like 6-8 years since I was last on a bike) but, I just went to my local trails for the first time and I'm kinda hooked. Can't wait to travel north this summer to try something with some elevation (I live in Florida, trails literally have like 30 ft of man-made elevation change.)

My dad sent me this video. He used to live here in TN but moved to WI a few years ago and always talks about how much he misses the trails. I have his old bike and I know it's solid bike and that I would love Mtn biking but I can't get past that fear just yet. Maybe someday. I heard the bit about subscribers and recommended and I went ahead and subscribed. I don't get on YT much but I see that you're at 499k and subscribing can't hurt. Early congrats on 500k, maybe I'll get back to biking soon and hit this trail.
Phil, you are an absolute legend taking a bent bar like that and still going full send. I've decided that I'm taking the carbon bars off my bike when I go ride the trails. Carbon bars are really good for cutting down the vibrations on the road and even though mine were cheap, I just can't afford to break them. I'll get some good alloy bars instead. That said, there is some definite maintenance I need to do on my bike before I ride the trails again. My wheels need trued, tensioned, and dished, my shifter/derailleur needs adjustment (really stiff and doesn't shift smoothly to every gear), and my tires have started cracking. My chain also needs a good cleaning, and my brakes also need adjusting. I do hope you come to sample the trails Boise has to offer, we've definitely got some leg busters here, and Bogus Basin has been expanding their trail options to include some really good jump trails, technical trails, and flow trails, and that's not even including the trails coming down from the mountain. There are also quite a few other trails in the surrounding area that are nice.

I was looking for vids on Windrock and ran across One of my favorites, "Phil" showing off the park. This turned out to be such a cool video. I particularly enjoyed Phil riding riding with Bryson "the kid." That young man is a gifted rider and I really enjoyed seeing him tow Phil in on some of the trails...way cool. Phil, you need to be mentoring kids like Bryson. Anyway, another great video and thanks for what you do.
Im 53 and these video's have me inspired to start riding. Ive been riding motocross for about 10 years and a little of that transfers. My first down hill run was at Winter Park. fun and scary. Great video. You are such a good dude.
That kid was damn impressive, he was dialed and super glued in! 3-4 years, he keeps it up, he'll absolutely own the hills! He needs to get a channel going for his age group, this could be a game changer for him!

okay, first off I am older than crap when I was young I rode dirt bikes like Yamaha and Kawasaki but I could not even think about the speeds you guys are riding your bicycles and the split decision or quick thinking of which way to go on these trails. I loved this video and that kid in front of you, wow! I'm thinking he is at school and a teacher or someone says to him "what do you do when you are not in school?" Yeah, that turn obviously caught be off guard. I misread the terrain, I thought the trail was going continue to follow contour of the hill. By the time I noticed that it was a tighter turn, there wasn't much I could do.

These natural built trails are great. This is my definition of Mountainbiking. Interesting that you had to put more air in your fork. The suspension has to work perfect here. I liked the conversations and the rides with all those Interesting people. This little kid, imagine in 10 years, he is going to be World class. Wow.

got a sub from me, brotha. This was the most relaxing video i've seen in a while, outside of listening to specific music. Being 35 (soon), i wouldn't mind getting back on a bike, but i never did any racing or just enjoying sprints around a park. I'm sure IA probably has a few, but i've never looked and I just never have the time to look, let alone get a bike. That being said, i really enjoyed this video.

You've got proper guts taking that race at that speed, falling subsequently bending your bars and then giving them a pat and carrying on.

Having ridden the “Rock” many times it’s absurd how fast and flowy he is. This place is STEEP. GoPro effect is real here.

These natural built trails are great. This is my definition of Mountainbiking. Interesting that you had to put more air in your fork. The suspension has to work perfect here.

Bryson recently did have a news story about him locally. He's the "mountain bike kid". The camera doesn't do trail one behind him justice. He makes it look easy. And if you follow him its only slightly less stupid.

got a sub from me, brotha. This was the most relaxing video i've seen in a while, outside of listening to specific music. Being 35 (soon), i wouldn't mind getting back on a bike, but i never did any racing or just enjoying sprints around a park. I'm sure IA probably has a few, but i've never looked and I just never have the time to look, let alone get a bike.
That being said, i really enjoyed this video.
