98'? Im 29 and I've seen them 4 times. All i can say watching this is um..lack of security? (yup jealous, its not like that now). Watching Lajon crowd surf in this video just made my year..
+Aleasha f that's cool in all but what purpose did you have to bring up your age? we know why he said 98, just trying to figure out why you told us your age. I'm 33 and never seen them...not really a big deal to me, just want you to know I'm 33 though
I was at that show too! Probably 15 at the time - my first concert. I was amazed at how much Sevendust blew away the other bands, even though most people didn't even know Sevendust was on the bill that night! I spent the whole night going - "What did they say they're name is?!?"
I've been searching for this video for ages.... I wennt out behind the garage with some friends at a party, and came back to this video with all the "nerds" inside. Thank You.
yea because he talks about love for women and crying over them in his music lol just cuz his black doesn't make him Chris brown, drake, bobby brown or akon smh
im sure hes saying that because of his soul and passion lol black people have a special bread of groove. being a r and b singer is a massive compliment. depending on what era you were raised.
Saw these guys twice in a small club, back in 2001, and again in 2002.. with Drowning Pool in 2001, and with Soil in 2002. They absolutely killed both times. What you see, is what you get with this band. So high energy. So give everything on stage.
What an underrated front man. I just saw these guys at sick new world and they are as good as ever. I first saw them in 1998 open for Limp Bizkit at the house of blues in Chicago.
Saw them live at the house of blues in LA. It’s was an acoustic show. Fucking loved every part of it. Beer, live show nothing better then that. Much respect to 7D. Really wish I could relive that day lol.
back in 99 i had a few of those 6 hour vhs tapes and would just tape all the music videos i liked off mtv and muchmusic. I remember when this came on, I scored a jackpot! The energy in this got me hooked
I watch this video every now and then, and I always think to myself "why are there no longer places that do shows like this?" Where you can get close to the stage, where everyone is part of the show, where the ENTIRE crowd is into it instead of part of the crowd having a good time and the rest just stand around on their fucking cellphones?
Somehow I found this album and chose to pick it up, and love it to death. I think it came out in 1997? Finally in 2018 I saw them live and felt a great feeling seeing them finally play this song that drowned out my high school bullshit back in the day. So thankful to finally see them live playing such an amazing song.
Awesome band. In the era from self titled to Animosity, they must have played my town at least 9 times. Being from a small town, that was huge. I saw them play in a damn movie theater once! Always awesome guys, and have permanent respect in our town for being one of the first and only bands to frequent here.
Maaan! I will still never forget when Rock 103.5 promoted this taping for the Metro (Chicago). Not able to go, but damn wish I did. But really, every 7D show is amazing!
My first concert was Sevendust too lol, waaayyy back when they only had the first CD. Been blessed to have seen them 3 times so far, along with countless other bands..
See NOW I am minding my OWN BIDNASS,BADASS! Now that's what I'm talking about! What the video I was in, should've, could've would've been, to be honest. I wish I was there for this filming, my new Mission: "I'mPossible" to find LeJohn & wish him another happy BDay hope to get into another video. I was in the "Praise" video, my 15 milleseconds of fame, crowd surfing mid video, timed perfectly, lol, back in 2000 in Orlando. Time of my life, but those flyover cam angles, could've been more like this.
Actually loved the song when it debuted...then I got older and listened to the lyrics. It's literally a song about fictional racism. "I'm black and I'm minding my own business, I'm black and I ain't doing nothing wrong". The desperation to push a narrative was strong even back in the day.
I've seen them 4 times the first was at a small club and a bunch of us were on a dance platform close to the stage, I felt like doing a front flip off the platform into the crowd lol
Depends on where you're at, some places have become overly conservative in this generation. I saw Suicidal Tendencies last year and let me tell you THE WHOLE FUCKING CROWD took total part in enjoying that show. believe me!!!
Sevendust is probably the only band I would never fight like if sevendust got in a brawl with another band they would beat the hell out of them lol bc lajon buff as hell, john is freaking huge, clint could kick some ass, morgan he is probably fast as hell, and vinny is a pretty big guy they r such a built band lol
If I was security for the band there would be no way I would allow that entrance. I understand the artist needs to do what he feels and make a show and make a mark. But the logistics of a front man cutting through a crowd like that pre show....no go for me. I dont care if you lower from the rafters that can be safety checked and redundancies in place. Through a mosh pit? There are no checks in place for that.
This is one of those videos I have to watch several times a year. Sevendust was by far one of the best live bands I've ever seen.
go see them again! They are still around, and better than ever.
STILL gives me goosebumps.
That was one intense entry woooooow .... fucking epic
1998. I was there! Lajon was late getting on stage. Still kicked ASS!
98'? Im 29 and I've seen them 4 times. All i can say watching this is um..lack of security? (yup jealous, its not like that now). Watching Lajon crowd surf in this video just made my year..
Aleasha f I'm glad. It was an unforgettable show!
+Aleasha f that's cool in all but what purpose did you have to bring up your age? we know why he said 98, just trying to figure out why you told us your age. I'm 33 and never seen them...not really a big deal to me, just want you to know I'm 33 though
Brandon why the hell does it matter. Go to bed.
How many songs did they play at the show? The DVD had only six songs. I'm sure they played more than six songs. Wish I was there
I love how LJ couldn't even get to the stage in time for the first verse lmao! Them fools love them some 7D :D
I was at that show too! Probably 15 at the time - my first concert. I was amazed at how much Sevendust blew away the other bands, even though most people didn't even know Sevendust was on the bill that night! I spent the whole night going - "What did they say they're name is?!?"

This will ALWAYS be bumped in my car
here's the band who did 'let's put an actual R&B singer into our metal band' first. Respect for f'ing day's.
yea because he talks about love for women and crying over them in his music lol just cuz his black doesn't make him Chris brown, drake, bobby brown or akon smh
If that's what you think, you haven't really heard Sevendust. Not even close.
I think she wrote this because Lajon was actually a R&B singer before 7D
lmao all yall saying hes not...stop it... hes a church boy just like howard jones lmao
im sure hes saying that because of his soul and passion lol black people have a special bread of groove. being a r and b singer is a massive compliment. depending on what era you were raised.

The energy these guys bring to a room is so naturally done nothing fake when they play just pure energy and raw power sevendust forever !!
7D still rocking at '23 🤘
This is my favorite live performance of this song. I saw them twice at Pierre’s in the fort.
I really wish they would redo a record version with a higher temp like this. Would turn an amazing song into a fucking amazing song.
What an underrated front man. I just saw these guys at sick new world and they are as good as ever. I first saw them in 1998 open for Limp Bizkit at the house of blues in Chicago.
Still love this song in 2020 remember the day I first heard it. I listened. Great song even better in 2020. I’ve Just Been 7dusted
Just Dope. Actually heard Home first and stumbled across the debut later. Two of my favorite albums; they both get lots of play in my vehicles
This is their signature song imo. Sevendust defined...
I was there back in '98. I'm surprised the "Metro" didn't collapse on us after this performance! Great memories!
I was there as well... one of the best! Good times! Totally freakin sick! This whole day was awesome!
Electrifying. One of their beswt songs ever !!!!!!!
Saw them live at the house of blues in LA. It’s was an acoustic show. Fucking loved every part of it. Beer, live show nothing better then that. Much respect to 7D. Really wish I could relive that day lol.
One hell of a way to make an entrance
Best show I have ever seen was in 1999 in a small country dance hall and Sevendust rocked it!
That is an unbelievable show. I can't wait to go see Sevendust again this coming March. Already got my tickets.
My mind just blew the * up. ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE #sevendustfamily 🤘🏻🇦🇺🤘🏻
back in 99 i had a few of those 6 hour vhs tapes and would just tape all the music videos i liked off mtv and muchmusic. I remember when this came on, I scored a jackpot! The energy in this got me hooked

Anxiously awaiting July 15 th 2021 Firefly disterely Charleston SC to see my favorite lifetime band love you guys!
Have to watch this video at least once a week...they killed it in this performance. Loved this song since I was about 15.
I watch this video every now and then, and I always think to myself "why are there no longer places that do shows like this?" Where you can get close to the stage, where everyone is part of the show, where the ENTIRE crowd is into it instead of part of the crowd having a good time and the rest just stand around on their fucking cellphones?
MetalFreak2000 ikr, I wish I was alive for that, no fun being in the back and just standing around

Maaan! I will still never forget when Rock 103.5 promoted this taping for the Metro (Chicago). Not able to go, but damn wish I did. But really, every 7D show is amazing!

See NOW I am minding my OWN BIDNASS,BADASS! Now that's what I'm talking about! What the video I was in, should've, could've would've been, to be honest. MetalFreak2000 the Dimebag incident changed things
Hahaha he pushed the guy at 0:54 LOL
Metro - Chicago.
shit this looks ilke something out of the grunge era with them letting people dive off the stage
This vid does wonders for the energy but the sound is nothing like the CD.
If I was security for the band there would be no way I would allow that entrance. I understand the artist needs to do what he feels and make a show and make a mark. one punch man season 2
What year was this performance?
1998
I'd love to see one of these new auto tuned lip syncing pretend artists try and cover this song.
