Here is Michael's video of same location:
• Quartz Crystal collect...
You have such incredible presence of mind to see the grass outcropping and consider hunting for more possible crystals. You seem to have a natural instinct toward finding such precious elements.
Thanks much!
I could watch you pull crystals out of crevices all day! It's so fun to hear, "dude!", when you find a really good one. Thanks for showing us your great adventures!
This was an interesting spot and I had hoped to return once more before snow, but will now have to wait until next year.
Cool. And nice crystals. Interesting recovery
Thanks 👍
I had a awesome time watching this! Great video Miner! Thank you! 😊👍
Thanks so much! I appreciate it.
"just points" is perfectly fine. Beautiful lot today. Thanks for being kind to the frogs.
I am actually happy with points. The frogs were probably happy that their home was restored. The boys were OK with it because they wanted to chisel out some of the higher up crystals. I think they liked the frogs better than crystals anyway.
@@meMiner 😁😁😁
Ahh, It's a dirty job but someone has to do it..might as well be you...My fav..my heart is drawn to those little beauties..great video!
Thanks Yvonne! I always enjoy your comments.
Always enjoy getting notified that you uploaded a new video. Gives me something to look forward to at the end of the day. Thanks you for sharing. Take care and be safe.
That is great! Thanks. It made my day.
The grass roots of mineral collecting!! Great job, love the finds!!
I was really surprised that the grass identified the vugs. If it wasn't getting dark, I would have spent more time pulling it up. I want to go back there. Maybe next time you can join?
@@meMiner I text you!
What a fantastic geothermal vent and thank you for putting the water back for the frogs
Frogs need a wet home. I'd hate to be the one to take that way from them
Oh man that my friend looked like such a fun day; and the crystals!!! The crystals are a plenty! Thanks mate! Great watching!
Thanks Rookie. It is always a good day when a fellow can find some crystals and make new friends...
Nice warts crystals....ribbit🐸🐸
Thanks for sharing the adventure
Darn. I did not think of that. I should have kissed one. LOL
Oh my, all those crystals! And that rust colored one you pulled off the side wall 💓💓. This settles it... I'm moving to Canada, lol!
LOL
Take me WITH YOU!! Haha!! 😂❤️😂
Canada is so full of crystals, one time I opened up a mapple syrup can and found a giant sugar crystal... I'm telling you they are everywhere...
Crystal's who would have thunk it nice points looks like a good area!!!! Thanks
isn't nature marvelous?
Turned in to a bit of a grass roots operation there. Glad that spot made an appearance
Love the hand dredge - sweet crystals
It is staying in my kit. I cannot say that about some other tools I acquired over the years.
@@meMiner mate I might have to hunt one down looks better than some of the other crap on the market.
You did very good man. Some fine crystals. You got a lot that look pretty free of that white coating. Good size too. Good job 👏
Thanks bud! You going to Tavlock this weekend with the club? I will be there and am eager to check it out.
I am so envious of you. I would probably spend days looking for crystals if I was there.
Thank u for the time and fantastic videos 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
thanks for the nice comment
Love that spot, NICE crystals
very nice spot, find your self a nice producing hold, they kept coming an coming, three thumbs up an happy hunting!
It is a pretty good spot. I hope to get back before it snows
Nice bit of kit 👍👍⛏💙👍
Finding out from this one video that OR&R is Adamowicz was NOT what I was expecting! An Ontario mindat legend 😂
Water back in for frogs
The frogs were nice to see.
@@meMiner मेरे पास भी बहुत सारे सिस्टर हैं जिन्हें में बेचना चाहता हूं
Vende dois cristal para mim adoro
Wow you got some great stones Miner. Good hunting
Thanks Greg. MeMiner (Greig)
Excellent fun !! That gadget really sucks - lol !! The frogs are probably happy you replaced the water. Great find on those points !!!
I had one of those SOB Suckers ! It always won the fight...lol Great Video !!
First time I used mine in a fast stream, I broke it when the end caught in a crevice. Two week trip and I could not get parts in the remote area. I fixed it when I got home and this is the first opportunity to try it out again.
looks like the same spot from caver's video a week back. great job with the clean out. grass roots was a great tip
I believe Caver was introduced to this spot by Michael as well. I want to go back and pull some more grass. ;-)
Thanks for showing us what's available in S. Ont. Going to check it out.
Good luck!
Getting back to your roots eh? Nice crystals in that crack. That sucker moves quite a bit of water and a good workout too. Glad you put water back for Kermit & the Mrs.
Kermit. Keeper of the crystals 🐸
Yep. Protectors of the pointed crystals. LOL
That is a nice spot I think you should bust that out I bet there are some awesome pieces there waiting on you lol thanks meMiner for sharing
It was a fun day. Anyday finding crystals and making new friends is always a good day.
That Mother Sucker is one cool tool....Great for the folks in Capetown, SouthAfrica...With the water shortage they are having they can reuse their bathtub water again and again!😱😃
The water shortage is an awful thing there. I have friends in Capetown. My roommate Kevin when I was younger moved there.
Very nice.
Thanks Drew
Nice going, good job!!
Dude,ya I like it a lot,jealous I am
LOL
Great find wow you have 12k subscribers when I first started watching you had 2000 subscribe very happy for you keep up the great work and videos
The channel grows a little bit every day. It is a pleasant surprise that so many people are interested in these stories/adventures.
Nice spot and thanks for the link to your buddies channel
If you are interested in rockhounding in Ontario, he has some excellent writeups on mindat.org It is worthwhile checking out.
great video loved it
Very Nice!!!
Thanks froggy!
thank you for putting the water back.
Nice termination on some of those eh. Good of you to put some water back in there for the frogs. Gotta take care of the nature!
Nice haul
I often dream about finding quartz crystals. I guess there will be another dream tonight!
Sounds like good dreams
nice of you to save the frogs
I ran into the same sort of thing in Mt Shasta up on a creek and they were all over in an area and in the grasses ect I have to say I loved the crystals more just gently washing them.. The amber is Hematite and they loose luster when you try and get that out because it was in them as they were created Some good hot water and dish soap and they look best Its such a high like finding gold its amaizng to fish them all out I ended up with over 200
I agree. Leaving rocks natural is sometimes the best thing.
meMiner I had tried just vinegar for an acid and found it fogged and dulled the crystals shine
That can happen depending on the mineral. You may have been etching a crystal that was affected by the acid. Otherwise, what sometimes happens is the acid releases a stain into the fluid which coats your crystals. I have had that problem when the fluid goes yellow or orange.
Nice find.
Thanks Anita
at it again...
Gotta just keep at it until there is 2' of snow. ;-)
Great hunt with real nice frogs, oops I mean finds😉
Another cool video !!!
Thanks man
Sweet honey hole some fantastic finds awesome
thanks
I would love to find qaurtz crystals like that 😍
man , imagin what was pulled out of there before ! , nice finds !
Probably that trench can be continued into the grass. I ran out of daylight.
lol probably. But if it was simular to what was in the trench.... would have been dugout already im sure. . Must of been some beut clustersss :/
People tend to go back to the spots and poke around where others had dug. Sometimes, just going near or beyond can be virgin. Only one why to find out...;-)
Oh you do have someone haha I thought it was a ghost hahahah
Pockets ...nice
The soldier ants are in retreat after two frogs eat most of them, so you are safe now.
Now that looked to me like chevron growth, you were pulling them out upside down, I recon there are many more at that site.
Cool vid .
When you venture to canada,, I will take you there...
meMiner
Do you really think they would let me in?
Although I'm self diagnosed with a severe mental disorder am I mad enough to venture into Canada?
Just remind them at the border that Canada is/was a British Colony, then tell them to step aside or you will smack them with your riding crop.
meMiner
Ohhhhooohhh wwwwwhhhhaaaattt.
I think I need to come over there and sort you out.
Riding crop indeed, how dare you young man.
I will have you know I don't ride a horse nor do I have a riding crop,
Army Officers don't always ride horses but they do sometimes carry a riding crop,
For hygiene purposes I was circumcised many years ago which was fortunate for me,
Because you have to be a complete prick to be an officer.
As for me crossing the border, it would be the red carpet treatment all the way, with a government escorted limousine for me curtesy of the Canadian people.
Let's face it, who in there right mind would voluntarily want to visit Canada for any length of time, cold, snow, ice, porcupines, beavers, bears, wolfs and the most dangerous of all, the mad men digging and rooting around in the dirt for rocks .
Good job
Thanks Sebastien
Howdy There, You Miner. You made quick work of that crystal hunt and pick. Guess that was a natural crystal vein, eh? No I'm not from Canada, just had a best friend when I was a young gal who was from Quebec. You know how it goes. : ) Bet that mothersucker tool would be a worth more than it's weight in gold, in those Gold fields in Australia. Maybe someday we'll see you and Beau in a series of vids in the Land Down Under. Are you familiar with Liz Kreat's or Adventures with Wild Bill's YT channel? Ya ought to take a peek. Bill has many metal detecting, rock hounding, bottle digging and treasure finding at their huge rubbish dumps. (For the clear crystals and cleaning funky residue from bottles and bones, try soaking them for a bit, in denture cleaner)
Australia is on my bucket list. I have been a fan of Liz for a very long time and more recently Bill. You are correct, the quartz in this location is a natural vein that runs 0.5 km, right beside a major highway. It first got exposed when they blasted for the road.
Awesome adventures you had that day! I'd leave the iron stains intact. I'm not certain about this type of quartz, but amethyst with iron staining is quite valuable.
Great finds and memories made that day.
The six dislikes are from people screaming
(silently) #tadpolelivesmatter
LoL
Jackpot spot...
Lol, it's entirely coincidental, but I can't help but laugh that I just put up quartz videos (lol, essentially hoping to tempt you to go there), and you've already gone out and done a dig where you found quartz crystals! The quartz gods are strong with you! .... CooOOooOoomMmmMEee TttoOoooooo SSssssssStteeeEEEEEeeeEEEeepppp RrrrroooooOOOoooocccccccKk..... LOL!!!! I've never been disappointed there. Nor has anyone I've brought there. That's where I got the eiiiiisennnnnkiiiiiesellllllllllllllllllll.......
All that aside though, awesome *spot* Looks like it was a good day!
any day is good day when you find crystals. I will check out your videos
Hey I need one of those to suck up this mothersucking water left over from hurricane Michael here in N.C. I like your video.😳
I feel for you guys. I have a couple of gas powered water pumps that were on gold dredges. If I were closer, I would come down to help out.
Well thanks alot you're a good guy , it's the thought that counts we appreciate your kindness and prayers sir.
Gold 👍🏼
When you throw away some rocks, can you explain why. So I know why you're throwing them. Something's look good to me but I don't know much
Thank you!
Sometimes when editing later, I ask myself "why"? too... I am sure the next person in this spot after a rain will have a field day.
Go here again!
break that whole quartz vein to see more goodies
Yes! Next time.
Yeah you gotta love getting stoned with genuine crystals
Ok I'm in love with crystals but to go out and find them myself would be a dream come true! I gotta start hunting for minerals lol I'm in Texas I wonder.....💎💎💎😍
I bet you can find some great stuff in Texas.
@@meMiner you got me in a mission now 😃👍
Im getting one of those!!!
Is this in California? How awesome is this
Ontario, Canada. About 4000 KM drive from CA. ;-)
.... This guy
sly tyme ikr ! xD
That mud looks stinky. lol
Cool
You need to spend two or three days and that area find yourself water pump Bucket of water and praying tools and take your time and take a really good look and that you find some big ones perfect ones need to try it just for the sake of doing so
For sure, I would like to go back and spend more time. I have heard that somebody watched my video and cleaned out these same spots. I sure there are more and just have to find them.
Hi 👋🏴🏴🏴🏴👍
allo
Found some partners in grime I see. Nice pegmatite! I'd spend some time look at that area very closely. Sure doesn't look like the areas been worked over too much. Any indication?
It has been picked over for many years, but still stuff to find and I bet some overlooked spots.
there huge! and the crystals ar, 'nt bad either
Other than being fun to look at, what exactly do you do with these? They don't seem to sell for much.
The value doesn't matter much to me. I enjoy finding them. I like the hunt and being outside in a new area. I am sure some will be made into jewelry. A nice natural crystal looks good on a lady's neck and some believe in health benefits derived from them.
Thank you.
That one is a twin crystal
That is the word I wanted when I was talking on the video. ;-)
is the whole mineral formation called the pegmatite?
I don't think this spot is a pegmatite. To me a classic pegmatite also as calcite and fleldspar, along with the quartz and mica.
@@meMiner thanks for the precision
At 5:17 someone is whispering something is that someone with you sounds spooky
I had two boys join me who lived up the road and also liked to harvest crystals. They tried to be quiet when the camera was on, but got really excited and couldn't help themselves from talking a little bit. It was really fun and funny.
Neat
;-)
I am not seeing the link.
Here is his video of the spot:

I think you had to hit "show more" to see the link
God is amazing!
Do you ever rockhound in the US?
I have not been the the USA since I started my channel. There are some great spots and I should get into some.
meMiner yeah man in Washington we have really really clear quartz just like in Montana.
meMiner and it’s only 3 hours away from the Canadian border.
Yeah, but about 2000 miles from where I live in Canada. LOL I actually might be out west this fall but close to Alaska.
Who filming, your wife?
I met two young boys there. They helped out.
@@meMiner ok
🏅👏👏👏👏👏
Is Geology a hobbie or a work?
For me, an interesting hobby/passion.
@@meMiner yeah, me too
Edit; I cant realy stop looking for stones and minerals on the ground. Every Amethyst I have found, was on a dirt-gravelroad. I have now around 5-6 amethysts. One of them is blue-purple. I dont realy have a system for my collection.
I live on a place there we have the most tighest place of minerals in the world. The place is called "Bergslagen".
👏👏👏👏 😆😆
wouldn't it be better to wear some gloves.
Probably a good idea. The compromise is you lose some feel. My hands are pretty tough.
