Australia bringing a little bit of everything - pop, rock, progressive synth metal - to appeal to a wide variety of tastes. Voyager are bringing a banger.
Voyager sure is my winner of Eurovision Song Contest 2023. This is a quality and fire💯💥💣. ( Sadly these days so many thing Eurovision Song Contest is about circus acts and not songs and music as it is ment to be for in the begin to join people with music.) Voyager is going to be amazing on stage💖 and I am so jealous for those who see them alive. Unfortunately I cannot vote them in semifinal as my country is in semifinal one and Australia is in semifinal two but Voyager sure gets my ALL of votes in grand final.
I am so excited that you have reacted to this! Voyager has metal roots so they wanted to make sure they threw a growl in there to represent that part of their music. I have heard different genre name for them including progressive rock and synth-metal. The film clip was filmed in Voyager’s home state of Western Australia. They even got support from the state’s tourism body to film it. So happy they finally get to represent us (Australia) ! So proud Side note: love that you said hi to your cat 🐈 !
Absolutely my favourite song from ESC. My kind of music! this song is so cleverly built!! it keeps growing, adding new impulses just super! I hadn't played this for a couple of weeks, but now that I watched your vid and heard it again, even with the moments of interruptions for your comments, it gave me goose bumps all over again and some sort of emotional thing in my throat, that's how good this band and song is.
I love this band, have been listening to them for quite some time. Funny that their songer Danny was born and raised in Germany 😅 But this song has somehow become kind of my safety blanket these last days ❤
These guys should have won Eurovision, pity that competition is such a farce. At least Voyager have won themselves a legion of new fans around the world!
Haha you don't know the band! Did you enjoy the chord change ar the end? They did it just for Eurovision. Voyager doesn't need Eurovision, you need progressive synth.
It should’ve won. It was a standout performance. Eurovision need to review the voting arrangements for Australia, if that want them to be more than a token entry. There have been about three entries out of eight where Australia should’ve come at least within the top three. When the votes are so way off the calibre of the performances, then an intervention is required.
4:23 that would be progressive metal. It's the greatest music genre on the planet and creatively kicks the absolute ass out of all other genres. And no discredit to Voyager, I love their last couple of albums, but that song isn't even that creative compared to a lot of other music within the genre.
And that's where prog metal can go either way. Take Dream Theater, for example. The further away you get from those first few albums, the more it becomes abundantly clear that Kevin Moore was the member saying "Yes, that's great guys... but what about the *song*?! There has to be a song in there somewhere too."
Great song.❤️🔥❤️🔥12 points from the Netherlands...promise!!!
Thanks for your kind words about the music video :) was a lot of fun to film and edit 🥰
Can't wait to see this one on the Eurovision stage!
This is going to be epic at Eurovision. ❤
It fucking was

As a long time fan I saw them a few months ago. I couldn't have thought that they would be sent (and went) to ESC.
i dont know why so many dislike this song, its awsome :D
Keeps rating at 16, but we know you all vote politically.
What a reaction at 2:53 😁 so cool!
My favourite. I can't forgive the televoters for only giving them 21 points. Thank god for the juries
Yes!!! What the heck happened with the televotes???!!!
2:50 When you suddenly realise the rock band you are watching is actually a metal band!

Such a banger 🙌🇦🇺
A great song and it'll be vying for first place for me (together with Spain), but can I just point to the bassist for a second...wow, such vocals!
The best song what I ever saw on Eurovision.
What just happened 😂
Cat wanted to warn you of that breakdown

That, my man, is called 80's inspired Synthrock.
Your face said it all. Your the best 😂

This song absolutely FLATTENED anything else at Eurovision this year - but the voting never follows quality.
Douze Points!!
