This might be such a weird comment, but thank you so much for being on here with your natural skin, without a filter, makeup or filler, and your natural hair. It makes me feel so much more seen? I don't know if that's the right way to word it, but it's just refreshing and I love it.

Yeah I agree when people say they’re ‘bare faced’ but have makeup or a filter, but let’s not come for people with filler.
If they wants filler because that makes them feel better, that’s not them lying and you shouldn’t have to put down what other people do for you to feel “seen”

If you are struggling read this~ I know I’m young but I would just like to say that, In 7th grade I was in a very dark place. I couldn’t feel much emotion and I had thoughts of revenge and the other things. But God saved me, He gave me the people in my life and he showed himself to me. Even in my darkest days He was there with me, He never left me. One day while I was in bed I started to pray with my hand go the sky and I felt something holding my hand. At that very moment I knew it was Him. I repent of all of the sins I have committed. I am ready to begin a new life with Him. There is still time go repent love one another and believe in Christ for He will forgive you❤️ He helped me in hard and he will help you too:). Just pray!

    Day 1:
1: Suave Pink Luscious Curls Shampoo and Conditioner - brush through, starting at ends, if desire)
2: Sauve Pink Heat-Free Styler - Air Dry Styling Cream - rake through soaking wet hair, evenly disperse)
    3. Scrunch out excess water
    4. Apply gel of your choice - apply with praying hands and scrunch in
    5. Air dry or diffuse
(Sleep - use silk products, put up in pineapple ponytail. Tip from Emma Breen below: leave out the framing pieces and clip them back with a little bump for volume/to keep them curled.)
    Day 2:
Looks good, so no maintenance necessary.
    Day 3: Refresh
    1. Shake it out and fluff from underneath.
    2. Suave Pink Air Refresher Dry Shampoo - section hair and apply to roots and fluff
    3. Suave Pink Luscious Curls Curl Enhancing Hair Styling Cream (defining cream) - go over the top and frizzy areas
    4. If not looking it's best or you prefer, you can style it in a half-up/half-down style or whatever style you prefer.
    Day 4: Refresh
    1. Using spray bottle, wet hair until damp, especially focusing on problem areas.
    2. Sauve Pink Heat-Free Styler - Air Dry Styling Cream - don't need as much as on Day 1; use a small amount and work/scrunch into the areas that have lost wave/curl definition, and then scrunch all over
    3. Diffuse or air dry.
    Day 5:
    1. Suave Pink Air Refresher Dry Shampoo - section hair and apply to roots and fluff
    2. Suave Pink Luscious Curls Curl Enhancing Hair Styling Cream (defining cream) - go over "edges" (outside of hair all over), especially the frizzy areas
    3. If not looking it's best or you prefer, you can style it in a cute pigtail style or whatever style you prefer.

I don't know if you will see this since this video is from a few months ago, but I never realized you lived in Georgia and were Christian! It might not seem like a big deal, but I live in Florida, so it's relieving knowing another curly girl is dealing with this humidity lol. Also seeing how joyful and full of life you are in all your videos, I love being able to follow other Christians and see their lifestyle, it honestly lifts my spirits. Thank you for all that you do, this just helped make my day a little bit better :)) also the video was super helpful!! I have similar hair but not that much volume (which I don't mind), but I've been a bit disheartened with my hair after sleeping and I feel like I constantly need to refresh it every. single. day. My daughter (11) and I just started the CGM and I’m needing every tip possible. We both have very thick hair. Hers is beautiful and healthy and thick…mine is thick, color damaged (blonde) and dry. I diffused it last week and I could not believe the results. I had no idea my hair had that much potential! Anyway, the diffusing took me about an hour. Maybe I’m doing something wrong. I know I'm a year late to this video but I want to sincerely thank you for making this video. I have... much different hair than you. Growing up I never learned how to take care of my hair because I was raised by a working single father who did his best. I had to learn on my own later in life and I'm still learning today. When I try to find tutorials on line its hard to find creators with my same hair type and the more similar ones make tons of videos about what to do on washday but it is so dramatically hard to find out how people are caring for their curls throughout the week. This feels like enough information that I can translate it into what I need to do for my own hair. Seriously, thank you so much.

I typically wash my hair like once a week; during summer time maybe every 5 days. And I used to wash it every other day because I had the same problem as you. For me the trick was to let it get greasy for maybe 2 months. So I would just wash it every 7-10 days for around 2 months, and sure it wasn't great in that time. But afterwards it just didn't get greasy as easily as before. But I could only do it because I had nowhere to be during that time period. Because it definitely didn't look good (or feel good) for that Greasy Period :'D

I pull up the top few layers of hair, spray bottom layer with water and work a little watered down gel through, then bring down the next layer and repeat until I’ve done all three layers (bottom, middle, top). I don’t use dry shampoo since my scalp doesn’t get oily ever. I also wet down the nape of my neck a LOT and put much more gel there to define the curly-Qs there because I don’t like frizz there and I have to wear my hair up as a dental hygienist. I don’t have the best job for curly hair for sure. I wish I could wear it down like a normal person.

Hi India 👋 I’m listening intently about your accutane journey because your struggle sounds so similar to my daughters struggle with acne. (First I wanted to know how old you were again?)
My daughter will be 24 in November and has and still is having all exact acne problems as you!
This acne beast has gotten ahold of her skin since jeez like middle school and still terrorizes her as she’s about to graduate college. She has tried EVERY CREAM (prescription and OTC) MANY ANTIBIOTICS and BIRTH CONTROL PILLS and still they persist! The only thing she hasn’t taken is the accutane journey. I believe she’s afraid to as she has very very very high anxiety and has heard that accutane could harm an unborn fetus. Not that she wants children right now but is SO scared of getting accidentally pregnant while taking that. To the point where its scared her right away from it. She just continues to put up with the acne and cover it the best she can. I think you are older then her and maybe as she gets older she’ll get sick of putting up with this beast and try accutane at some point .Can you tell me why you waited as long as you did before taking the step that clearly is working Fantastic for you!? Thank you so much!

Your hair looks so pretty. You've given me some new ideas on how to make my washdays last longer. It definitely is all about the products you use and how you protect your curls at night. I'm in Canada but will be in the States next week so I hope to get my hands on the Suave products you used.

I can’t tell what the titles of the products are and how many different ones there are to get though the week. Please spell it out. Nowadays products have long names and ya gotta get the whole title to find it online or sometimes even in a store because of subtle differences. There’s bubble gum and then there Bazooka! Yum

This is so helpful in embracing my own frizzy waves. Thank you, this process was a bit difficult. The one question I have is I noticed in the six days you're not brushing really, and I know we aren't supposed to brush our hair dry, but mine is getting rather tangled by day 3-4. What do you do with any tangles in between washes?

    • @caitlynmeyer2109
      @caitlynmeyer2109 2 роки тому +2

I isolate my snarl then gently brush it out dry. Then I re-wet that section of hair with spray bottle or just wet hands and add just a little styling cream to smooth it out and maybe give it a little finger coil or scrunch. Hope that helps! I tend to get a lot of 'rats nests' on the bottom portion of my hair and this takes care of those quick.

Speaking of skin... I struggled with acne after I turned 23. Why I could never figure out. I would get cystic acne. I washed my face, I used the best makeup, I even would use new brushes, and nothing helped. My work requirements were to dress in dresses or suits and to wear makeup every day. I was crying one day because I just felt awful about the way my skin looked, and that is when my husband said, "Stop wearing makeup, you're so beautiful, you dont need it... That's probably why your skin breaks out."
I scoffed and said, "I have to wear it to work, or I will get fired."
My husband said, "Well, if that is the case, then you should quit. If wearing makeup is so important to them, let them find someone else to work as hard as you do. Obviously, they dont appreciate you."
This conversation made me realize that I didn't need makeup on my face to be a professional. I told my boss that I would no longer be wearing makeup because of my skin issues, and she said, "you must wear makeup to work or you will be written up for dress code violation"
I told her don't worry about writing me up because she will just need to find a new employee. I quit and never looked back.
I stopped wearing foundation and have not had any acbe since. I still wear mascara, lipstick, eyebrow pencil, and sometimes blush... but quiting foundation made my skin so much better.
If you suffer from constant acne breakouts... try skipping foundation for a few weeks. I now only use aloe vera gel on my face for moisture and my skin just glows. I never have to deal with breakouts and it made my skin look so even.
I am now 37 and I never even miss wearing foundation. My skin looks better now then it did in my 20's. I think the secret is the 100% aloe vera.

You mentioned Accutane... I know this video isn't about that bUT... I wanted to warn people that may be considering taking it.... not everyone suffers from extreme side effects. In fact my daughter said..."I dont care if any of that happens! I just want my skin to be clear!"
I personally wish she would have e considered them all... I hope her side effects go away . ...
****My daughter used Accutane. It helped her acne but she's had a lot of problems with things that would naturally be lubricated. Like her joints. Some days she can barely use her hands. She lettered in concert orchestra 1st chair playing the cello. Has played for 15 years. So you can imagine what a loss it is not being able to use her hands. Has severe joint pain with her knees, elbows and her back too. she's 25 now. Face chapping, lips chapping. Nose bleeds that last as long as 2 hours. Not just a little drip. Pretty much pours out when she bends over.
She started her treatment when she was 16. Still suffering at 25.
    Best of luck to all...

I tend to keep it more "tame" and straighter during these months. But I LOVE the cur.. Thank you for sharing. Can't wait to give these a try.

I love how realistic your hair looks. I just started to style my wavy hair with the curly girl method, so still learning and when I tried it the first few times, I thought that there is something wrong with the products I use and with my hair because on day 2 or day 3 some strands would stretch out but now I see that it is normal. I feel so silly that I bought into the idea set by some curly hair influencers of perfect locks every day. Thank you for your videos! I love them and I am a subscriber even though our hair types don't 100% match.
