I have learned more watching ur breakdowns and mentally visualizing what u talk about in ur videos than going to wrestling or bjj class. Knowing how to do something and understanding how something works in its entirety are two diff concepts. Thank u for these videos they are truly enlightening. Keep doing what ur doing. More ppl should be watching these breakdowns. They are seriously missing out on some good technical knowledge. Thanks again man ur a gentleman n a scholar.
I couldnt agree more- wrestling class always seems to teach something that doesn't really work - these videos show reality and how to chain things together
06:45 : Russian hillbilly on screen left just got my vote for Best Fan in the Stands Award. @DPSBreakdowns On a side note, brilliant breakdown. Thanks for putting in the work to make this content possible for everyone!
This is really useful for us who understand the importance of wrestling in grappling..I’m a bjj player so not a strong basic foundation so thanks. You earned a subscriber
These are awesome. After watching one I feel confident to do the move. I think a lot of it has to do with using these live examples to see exactly how they are used, and slowing them down, breaking them down is a perfect formula for mentally learning the move. I watch standard instructional vids which are fine but these translate a lot more info
For better or worse I am off the grid when it comes to social media (other than UA-cam). You can shoot me an email anytime at dpsbreakdowns@gmail.com, though.
I love this type of takedown for its transferability to self defense since you don’t need to get your knees to the ground which can be pretty brutal on modern man-made surfaces such as concrete, tile, and hardwood floors.
Love the wrestling breakdown on this one & previous videos as well. Definitely check the pronunciations like the previous comment mentions :) Do you have a breakdown for Sidakov’s head outside single? He’s also really good at that :)
I’ve been watching your vids for a long time and I love them! Do you think you could do one on Ethan Lizak’s top game? It’s his only strength yet he beats nearly everyone with it.

DPS, have you covered Sadulaev yet? If not we could do a collaboration, if you're interested. Great work here, he did well v Burroughs similarly. Keep on keepin on bud.
Good details. But J.Oliver's overtie shrug on 1:15 is pretty much another move, i think. As main factor there is forcing your opponent to go forward and down with your overtie hand.
So you can add new highlights of this motion at WC 19. I saw at least 2 times he used it against Japan and 1 against Poland. Looks like they were ready for it but still can not do something
Dont think that is little he does it whole tournament exept last one against JB. I saw 3 matches were he used it sucefully. Also nice job mate and good luck
Please cover the sajidov/gadisov over hook to like a limp arm shuck/snapdown. To this day I’ve never seen a westerner breakdown that technique only Russians have done it.
@@DPSBreakdowns ye I've played around with it and caught the odd guy. But most of the time the arm gets caught and i don't wanna do it fast in case I blow my partner's elbow. I think it works better in match when the opponent is pressuring hard with a low stance and your not afraid to apply the technique with maximum effort.
for this slide by to work the opponent has to lean into you and put pressure correct? if he is standing still or passive like bjj players it doesn't have the momentum needed. thoughts?
oppponent have to defend your hand fighting , if he avoids ties and grips - in freestyle wrestling he would be warned . loose points and etc, Opponent just have to attack and it means moving forward by handfighting or leg attacks, ig your handfighting is good you can chancel opponents leg attacks. Sidakov is awesome at handfighting so have ton of tools to beat you if you passive
@WARRIOR FIGHTER PAHLAWAN He's one dimensional, and has been killing you guys for 10 years? Wow sounds like you lot need to improve. If he is one dimensional, why does he own russians? Talk shit when sidakov wins the olympics, until then🖕
@WARRIOR FIGHTER PAHLAWAN The USA doesn't give a damn about wrestling, all our athletes play other sports. Can't dominate everything I suppose. I'd expect ya'll to do so well, with all that state-sponsored doping and all
He is from Ossetia everyone able wrestle here for such small nation so many olimpic chempions more then 20 for 700tousand nation it is stunningly result

Thanks Santiago, and that is nice to hear. I appreciate the support.
I couldnt agree more- wrestling class always seems to teach something that doesn't really work - these videos show reality and how to chain things together
This move from this video has carried me through several tournaments. THANK YOU
Great to hear that. Out of curiosity are you hitting it off the opponent's collar tie or off an inside tie (like Sidakov usually does)?
@@DPSBreakdowns both! I hit it the moment they get inside control in a tie up
Concratulations youre became Sidakov lite )
@@zenly_csgo My favorite soda
I feel like Sidakov purposefully throws in that right underhook to kind of force the other guy to want an inside tie
Very possible.
Yeah i noticed that too. I think your right.
chain wrestling
I would agree 100%. Was thinking the same thing

Love your Yazdani videos. Great content. Keep it coming!
mother of baby Jesus. you are spitting hot fire
Great stuff. The way you pronounce Sidakov cracks me up. Sidokev

Thanks for the detailed feedback!
Superb as always my guy. Did a couple Sidakov articles myself but definitely didn't get too in depth ln specific techniques. You're a gem.
Ed - thanks a lot. I'm a big fan of your work as well.

Numba Wan Grappling Gangsta Coach Brian Son of Peter sent me here. It was a great suggestion. This guy breakdowns. Great videos. Awesomeness!
One of the best breakdown that I've seen. Great job!
Long time fan. Thanks for all the work you put into these!
Thank you, Lee!
These videos are awesome. I appreciate them so much!!
This was perfectly broken down, thank you!
These videos are amazing!!!!every coach should be watching these

You are really good at these breakdowns. Thanks.
Really nice video as there aren’t any such stuff on internet....keep up bro
Fantastic breakdown! Very much appreciated.. thank you

amazing breakdowns
You're a God man. Keep em coming!
Thank u for wonderful clip. From Iran
Wow this is an amzing breakdown. Subbed
Love the videos honestly they’re one of a kind please make a vid on Burroughs double or maybe even sum different with spencer lee and his tilts
I’ve been watching your vids for a long time and I love them! Do you think you could do one on Ethan Lizak’s top game? It’s his only strength yet he beats nearly everyone with it.
Thanks, Pedro. I will consider it!
I would love to see a breakdown of how david terao combines his slide by and uchimata together. Its a thing of beauty
I think they call that the Iranian Tie. Good video regardless! I love this dudes setups.
russian name of it Сброс - translates as drop or discharge

Brendan - I have not yet, but I would be open to it. What did you have in mind as far as a collaboration?
Good details. But J.Oliver's overtie shrug on 1:15 is pretty much another move, i think. As main factor there is forcing your opponent to go forward and down with your overtie hand.
I would still consider JO's move a slide-by variation, but it's a fair point.
Great video
Watch Soslan RAMONOV (RUS) vs Mandakhnaran GANZORIG (MGL) from Rio 2016, first 20 sec. The same move with superior execution.
Thanks for the suggestion. That move is more of an armdrag (rather than a slide-by), but still very nice technique.
So you can add new highlights of this motion at WC 19. I saw at least 2 times he used it against Japan and 1 against Poland. Looks like they were ready for it but still can not do something
A little Sidakov slide-by addendum, eh? I'll definitely consider it! Maybe I'll even pronounce his name right this time.
Dont think that is little he does it whole tournament exept last one against JB. I saw 3 matches were he used it sucefully. Also nice job mate and good luck

How do you get the high-res photos? Even Flo's player makes screenshots blurry af.
Music is a bit too loud, but content it 👌🏻
Sidakov is a MONSTER!!! Burroughs beat Kyle Dake for a full decade. To see Sidakov be so much faster and more technical than Dake is wild!
Awesome review. If you want to be entertained go back to the 7 minute mark and check out the guy with this shirt unbuttoned in the stands lmao
It's really useful
1:14 I love how you say Jordan Oliver in the finals and don’t say about Jason Nolf in the finals with imar 😂🥺
Is the slide by a good move for short wrestlers against taller wrestlers?
great job. what software do you use to edit? how do you keep scrubbing back and forth in time with your audio commentary?
Thanks. I use Adobe Premiere Pro. I screen record and audio record simultaneously as I go through the sequence on Premiere.
@@DPSBreakdowns thanks for the info dude!
Everybody loooooves that chamizo and burroughs but this guy beat em both😂😂
Burroughs should have beat him last year, he lost with 6 seconds left.

I like that way of putting it.
Where are you? Please come back during the up coming season
Don't worry, I'm here!
This guy is a fucking G that nobody knows about he fucking beat Chamizo and Burroughs and gets like no recognition
Nice
Do you remember Dustin Schlatter from Massilon Perry? This was his move
Schlatter was an animal. I'll have to check out some of his old matches.
Brian Peterson brought me here.
Aren't they almost just throw bys?
4:06 footwork
9:38 footwork

Look up the state of maryland.
Ossetia Alania is Russian orthodox
I think Sidakov versus Dake will be a great match
Up.
I don't like how you say Sidakov
Me neither.
Burroughs should have beat him last year, he lost with 6 seconds left.
Very competitive match - I'm looking forward to a potential rematch at the 2019 Worlds.
