HovaBator 1588 Egg Incubator: Unboxing & Set Up

- We finally bit the bullet and bought our own incubator. Now we have no excuses! We'll be hatching birds all over the place LOL Not really, we'll try to control ourselves. Watch as my charming daughter shows us how to unbox and set up a HovaBator 1588. We also purchased the Automatic Egg Turner 1610 to make the incubation a little more hands off for us.
We decided to get the egg turner that would have adapters for the small quail eggs. Raising quail is on the list of things to do this year.

The lovely host did an excellent demonstration job. The bloopers were funny. Just goes to show that life isn't perfect. Hatching is addicting ~ Can't wait for the hatch!

Wow. What a great job. You did so well, it made me want to rush right out and buy one. I would love to have one of them, but my hubby doesn't want me to have more than 3 hens and if I had something like that I would go overboard. lol
I like that there is different music at :20 instead of the normal "Blake" music because everybody in the family should have their own intro to help personalize their videos. A few times I would glance into the mirror to see who may be standing back there, haha.

Heather Carter So far, according to our candling, it looks like 19 out of 25 eggs are good.
oh man thats exciting. This is our first year with no ducks or chickens but watching this last night admittedly had me looking up the Hova and thinking wellllll.... maybe we should get a couple chicks. :-P My husband was like, "what are you looking at!?" LOL!!!

I hatched eggs with that type but older that I had to keep replacing the thermostat disk and rolling the eggs manually. Now they are digital and hook up like a Xbox lol

Do you use store bought eggs?
Joseph Ku No, Store bought eggs are not fertilized and even if they were they cannot be hatched after being refrigerated.
