Good video, except if you are doing an online tutorial you should probably turn off the background music. Hard to hear.
I know this video was done a while ago but it is serially the best on the complete set up process, well done, thorough and easily understood. Only thing to not have....the loud music in the background. Well done LLL!

Hello, I just bought this from you guys, and I had a question about it... I have it all set up and I have a thermometer hooked up to it, it is set to 88 degrees, and it says so on the thermometer... but when I open the incubator, I cant feel any heat inside the incubator... Is the incubator working, it feels like it is room temperature

I had to modify mine to EU plug and it works well but the thermothing is really bad originally.. it like switches the temp from (what i want is 37-37.5 celcius for geese eggs) 35-38 celcius that is too much. And before u say is ur meters right, i have 3 of them in there

Would I be able to incubate crested gecko eggs in here? The reason I'm asking is because I know you can keep them at room temp. but I just didn't know if the incubator would go that low (in temp.) If I got an incubator it would be able to keep the eggs at a more constant temperature.

Hi, I have a Hova Bator model 1602N and it won't keep the temperature, I have to constantly go in my reptile room and adjust the temperature. What am I doing wrong? I am using it for leopard geckos... ty
turn it up high, and then hook it up to a thermostat, like the one I'll link below. They work by keeping the air in the incubator roughly a certain amount warmer than outside the incubator; so if your reptile room is fluctuating in temperature, then the incubator will as well. Using a thermostat should help:

Gecko Land Yes, but you may want to do it on a day you'd be able to be home and check on the incubator every hour or so, just to make sure it doesn't spike or dip too greatly. It takes 8 to 12 hours at most for the incubator to stabilize, usually.

I just bought this on you website with the cubs and hatch rite package deal and wanted to get a digital thermostat as well but not sure what kind to buy or how to use can you give me some advice please
The incubator has a built in thermostat that you can dial into the right temp. It holds well. It is not digital, but it works great :) If you needed a thermostat for something else, the Vivarium Electronics VE200 is proportional, and works great.

What's the temperature you're suppose to keep the incubator at for bearded dragon eggs? Can you give a measurement for how much water to put in with bearded dragon eggs? and do you keep bearded dragon eggs in all the time or is there a schedule you should stick to?
Beardies should be incubated between 82 and 86 degrees. Hatchrite comes premixed; just keep the plastic tray at the bottom of the incubator full of water. I don't know what schedule you're talking about; they should be kept at a constant temperature and not messed with until they hatch.
Ok thanks. By schedule I meant do you keep them in the incubator 24/7 until they hatch or keep them in only at certain time periods.

You set it for at least 12 hours, and then check the temperature. if it's too high, you turn the dial down, and if it's too low, you turn it up. That's it! :)
