Hello! I think the M2 is a great laptop and an easy buy at this time. As for the M3 Air, given it’s not released the best we can check are the rumours from people who typically get it right like Mark Gurman - who are saying it’s likely just the processor that gets upgraded. But in the end it is a rumour and sometimes they can be wrong :)

If you are on a budget get M1 - great deal! If you can spend a bit more / get M2 and increase specs vs paying for M3. Watch my full video on M3 if helpful One external display works with open lid. For more you need a display link capable adapter on the M1/M2. M3 can do this natively 8GB is fine but like I said a RAM upgrade gives you move value for your tasks than the chip upgrade - depends on your budget Cheers

The big question is do you use a lot of heavy excel and Power Point? Also do you travel a lot ? Your familiarity with windows will help if yes and there are great windows laptops in that range. However for the video editing and also for better battery life during travel the MacBook is a nicer laptop.

If you plan to do this stuff in parallel, then I find that investing in the 16 Gigs of RAM will increase the muti-tasking speed, especially if you plan to use this laptop in the longer term, it’s worth the investment. Hope this helps !:)
And one more question. Apple will conduct back to school program every year and they will give free airpods 3 rd generation.on buying macbooks. Can I get airpods 2 by paying remaining money

Yes, for sure. It’s just a slower (not bad - just slower) data transfer speed if you move data a on the SSD.
For coder, which one we can prefer m2 16gb vs m3 16gb?
Both will work well my friend. I would check the compatibility of the compiler and software’s you will use with the specific chip. Cheers
