- My first Bloodborne challenge run! I've always wanted to try the Gatling Gun and with the magic of Save Wizard, I can finally do a whole run using just this weapon!

Being able to adjust the inventory using a save wizard unlocks a lot of potential! Beating the game only using the Whistle or to continue your Throwing Knife saga!
Yeah I'm not sure if I can adjust inventory limits though. Throwing knives is basically impossible otherwise

@@JKLeedsYou can make some items have unlimited usage if you mess around in advanced mode. I managed to make blood vials and bullets. Or you can give yourself many stacks of the same thing. Also, you can make the most busted gems known to man, it's great

Actually Gatling guns ( not chain guns and although not one handed ) have been around a lot longer than you would think. I think they go back at least as far as the civil war so its possible they were around in Victoria era id have to look it up

Awesome video! Something that might help with future runs that require a ton of bullets is something I learned doing a Simon bowblade run. Slotting in 3 of the communion runes actually give you far more bullets to work with than using the formless Oedon runes.

18:20 Mergo's wet nurse was the final boss for me on my first ever playthrough cause I let Gherman kill me. I was so confused because it did not feel like a final boss in the slightest.
Logarius was certainly the hardest boss when I did the a gun only run, with the longer startup of the gatling gun I can imagine that would’ve gun even worse. Great job persevering, even if you had to revolve around to some other bosses to up your damage first
Orphan is the only boss in the series that doesn't feel unfair but I also can't get it down. It never takes toooo many tries, but it's still on edge every time, unlike O&S or other popular roadblocks, that feel much easier now.
I beat it on the first try. The pizza cutter takes no prisoners.

I got it first try, but I definitely don't feel like I earned it.
The Saif animations just kinda dodged a bunch of his attacks for free, mostly.
I did end on no vials left, no bullets left, one, maybe two hits from death, and killed him with my last molotov.
I also threw a rock at him by accident, so...

I actually like that you started the run with the gun. It can be a bit of a slog watching some challenge runs get started and sometimes it is detrimental to follow the challenge religiously. Like when there is one small obstacle preventing the run form continuing and they just end the run early. I’d rather see the run all the way through knowing that a few rules had to be broken.

I really appreciate the fact you chose to do a niche gun run, and I appreciate it even further that you stayed true to the nature of the run, the sheer lack of glitches, save for the funny chalice, is commendable, and the fact you did every single notable boss in the entire game save for chalice dungeons is incredible, especially seeing as the other gun runs that come to mind, namely ymfah, use a heavy focus on parrying and dual weilding and abuse of BMA, frankly i didn't think the gatling gun had enough damage per bullet to beat the game but you sure showed me! honestly really impressive work.

Just found your channel. Can't believe it hasn't been recommended to me sooner. I love the runs and the puns. And Bloodborne is my favourite souls game, so I'd love to see more of it, but it would also be cool to see some Lies of P or Lords of the Fallen sometime.

Ngl I kind of wish more challenge runs would just use hacks instead of "so here's how I used glitches and exploits to defeat every boss between me and this item as well as grind the correct amount of souls" like it just gets incredibly samey.

honestly, respect bro for going through that pain of beating him with the buff
did a gun only run and gave myself the liberty of doing one heavy attack behind him (while he charging up) so he doesn't get the buff...i would of gone insane if i didnt lol
That pulsing gem for Orphan was the best part of this run. Passive regen is bae, especially on bloodtinge or arcane because you'll never be fully out of options until you run out of patience.
Edit: Definitely want to see more Bloodborne runs, BB and DS2 are my favorite games for challenge runs because they have the most weird little tactics to take advantage of, like pulsing gems for infinite blood bullets.
This is more an exercise in item management than skill. Still a fun video to watch. I respect it, I hope your channel grows to millions

The gatling gun in bloodborne makes for a pretty immersive heavy bowgun monster hunter experience
If you didn't know, you can actually make the Hemwick witches boss even easier by entering the arena a second time with zero insight since you'll automatically get one for entering the first time. Just activate first, bail out with a hunters mark, spend your insight and return. The witches won't be able to summon any shadow things to slowly lumber around the arena at you so it just becomes a basic game of hide and seek.
There is a stack of antidotes behind the big altar in the blood starved beast's boss room. It should help with any future challenge runs

I am a little late but noticed that the damage numbers matches with the bullets spent (like each damage tick cost one bullet) even with the gatling firing 5 or so shots per bullet, so I assume the gatling works like the sprayer guns. Where the instance of damage is counted once per bullet spent, but you can hold the button to keep the hitboxes going between each bullet.

Next time... when the game throws some garbage mechanic on you (like the barrier making Logarious imune to bullets) dont be afraid to break the rules and passe the obstacle so you can continue the run as intended.

Idk if you know or not but there’s antidotes in the back of bsb arena, blood bullets actually scale higher with blood tinge so they do more damage so it’s more optimal to max vials instead of bullets
The mist thing the nurse does is considered an attack meaning you can dodge it but it's hard to since there's no indication of when it's considered an attack.

my favorite build I ever did in this game (granted ive only done like 3) was using the stake driver and gatling gun together for the ultimate doom/quake experience
I never really cared much for the gun parry mechanic, so the gatling gun was much more my speed.

Some tips for if you do more BB in the future.
The elevator window in Mensis is much more consistent when you're taking the elevator up. Going down is a crapshoot.
If you stand way out in the ocean against Orphan you'll have more room to breathe and the lightning call it does in phase 2 will be a joke to avoid.

Would the Gatling gun work with in tandem with a set of stun needle launchers? I find that gattling guns alone don’t seem to reload fat enough when facing bosses
out of curiosity, in a run like this where echoes both for bullets and bloodtinge/hp levels seem to be super valuable, how come you bought the cathedral ward gate key instead of getting into the ward via the bottom of that platforming section in upper ward with the old workshop? just wondering if the captain mark has some utility or items it gets bc i always use the path in the bottom of upper cathedral. sick challenge btw
