What is going on with the Nerubians, are we going to see their return soon as a playable race?

Nerubians were playable back in Warcraft 3, we even had the Crypt Lord class that was iconic and unlike anything else in the game - remember playing as Anub'arak. Last time these guys were relevant was back in Wrath but since then we had received updates on them even as recent as post Shadowlands.
Seeing that they are old god minions that rebelled, if Yogg-Saron and the Old Gods broke free could he call upon them to serve their native purpose and if a faction rebels could they join the Horde and the Alliance?
Are playable nerubians even possible, how would they work with their shape, could we get a Crypt Lord class with spikes, burrowing underground and best tank potential ever? What is going on with the Nerubians, what are they up to and could we see their return soon?

I actually saw something interesting and i would be curious what it could be. Last night in the mage tower in Stormwind i noticed something about the apprentice mages in the portal room by the entrance portal. They were practicing what appears to be void magic. At one point, even non noid elves are enveloped by void magic. I would be curious to see if there is anything by that.
What sucks about the Crypt Lord in WarCraft III is that despite its "tanky" appearance, its actually lightly armored and cannot take serious hits from things like Storm Bolts. You must really give him items for health and extra protection for him to last.
Yeah, they really hit the fantasy spot.
Every playable race now is like one of it's parents is a human.
They look too human like ... where are the Myrmidon, Naga, original Nerubians, I mean so many more fantasy themed creatures, and they make only the human looking ones playable ... they don't include them because they have no feet or have too many feet.
Imagine playing an Ogre with two heads, being able to wear two helmets ... noo, we can't have any of that in our fantasy themed game where you can do "anything" as long as it is in the limitations that we dictate. No wonder private servers prosper more and more.
I could see crypt lord being a spec for death knight. Insect themed DK plague of locusts type deal .
If they did that I could see the forums being flooded with Starship Trooper memes

Also Kilix one of the living Nerubians offered help to us multiple times and are willing to aid the Horde so they are okay with cooperation atleast. The quest is only Horde availeble aswell so it seems like if he's a high rank within the Empire he would see value in siding/aiding Horde side
Why we get earthen? I want Nerubian.
Also in zaralek caverns you do get a grey item "Royal nerubian capsa" from the skitterers, depicting the nerubian queen "Moaj'arak". Maybe the skitterers and rockflayers are related to nerubians as well. And the dream journal of oogmot, does mention the return of bugs, so who knows 🤔
In regards of the animations; as soon as Demon Hunter or Dracthyr have a form that isn't their own playable races, animations break and blizzard has yet to fix any of that in end-game content, so I hope this won't be done.
Honestly from the interaction with the good Nerubians I don’t think they would go back. Sure the Klaxxi went back after doing their own think, but they told us throughout that if the Old God to the old gods if they returned while the Nerubians only talked about the traitorous undead Nerubians.
So let me get this straight. Lore wise the nerubians have been around on Azeroth since before the titans imprisoned the old gods and elementals, for many many thousands of years as they are when we the players first encountered them and somehow they magically evolve after what? A few years since retail WOTLK? (In game time 20 years!)

Bio je cak u WC III kampanji, posle toga, ostale su samo tentakle i Faceless Ones, bukvalno nigde ista o njemu. A sigurno je da i nije unisten, verovatno ima i ime i sve, samo je tad, u tom momentu bio '' Forgotten One '' E sad, moja teorija je ta, da je to ustvari Yogg Saron, samo sto je posle bukvalno odglumio smrt i povukao se u Ulduar. Mozda jeste, mozda nije ali svakako je misterija, sam za sebe. :D Svaka cast na klipovima, jedan od najjacih Loremastera, kolega! :D
They need to add venomancer if they add Nerubians. Poison is dead with just one spec using it. Would be nice to see more poison specs.
Nerubians arakoha and ethereals are all races thay could pop up as playable but all with their own issues
Wouldn’t they have separated from the old gods after the old gods were imprisoned? I think that’s why they would have stopped following them and went their own way

@@Doronsmovies I had to watch today's panel before I commented. Nerubians were not confirmed as an allied race, so maybe slow down the victory lap a step. :P
I didn't say they will be confirmed as an allied race, but they definitely seem to be setting the ground for that with the humanoid form later down the line.@@mung01re

I think your imagination is getting away from reality. Asking for specs, new races, more specs, more abilities, more specs, more exotic races, more specs.... that's not going to happen
for example - Ogres, Gnolls, Troggs, Taunka, Tuskarr, the snake people in BfA, the fish people for the Alliance in Nazjatar, Silithid, Murlocs, Naga, Nerubians, Tortollan, buff Dragonkin, maybe even Faceless Ones... There's more I'm leaving out. Point is, all these races require specs. Adding specs to existing classes and then adding races and new classes and new specs gets absurd. Maybe if WoW continues another 20years, they'll have given those races.
