Congratulations to Geertie's nephew Jacob for a tremendous job in dressage. The stallions are all so beautiful!
Personally I prefer to see the horse ridden but understand the saddle conceals a great deal about the stallions confirmation, but ridden seems more controlled. To see all the stallions and some familiar studs is always a joy. It is amazing Geertje's family is very involved in horsemanship and to see her nephew riding one of the stallions was a real treat. Hopefully one day a Stal G or Stal H stud will be on the books.♥♥♥
Would you like to run beside a 700 kilo stallion that moves like that on a lead rope that is 3 ft long? It's incredibly dangerous for the horses and the handlers because they will collide at some point and break legs. A frisian horse on its own will curl up their necks when they show of.. It's how they are build.. Strong, rising necks.. I prefer this way of showing on hand a lot more than for example the way Arabians are being showed.. Long lines and constant yanking on the super thin bits by a lot of "professional" handlers to keep them from bolting.. Believe me.. These stallions are not being harmed or hurt in any way be holding them short.

I love watching the guys leading the horses when they're trotting. Every so often you see the sheer panic on the mans face when he realises he doesn't actually have control of the horse and is just hanging on for dear life. It's a good thing the horses have such nice natures and do the right thing anyway.
Seeing these beautiful stallions perform is truly fantastic, watching them with how much grace and beauty they move really has something special about Friesian Horses.

Geertje’s nephew did a fantastic job! It’s always a pleasure to see Uniek’s nephews (Jurre & Eise) and now a great nephew as approved stallions! The KFPS (& breeders) has done such a fantastic job with breeding that every stallion looks beautiful! Of course, there’s absolutely nothing that can beat the stunning beauty of a fully mature Friesian stallion in terms of conformation, flowing manes, feathers, tails, muscle, the ability to show well & those elegant dressage gaits that’s taken years of training. I can imagine that it’s very hard to pick a stallion for a mare based on looks alone. Yvonne taught us that you have to look at the registration papers and the blood relatedness as well as at the DNA to avoid dwarfism or hydrocephalus. Yvonne also taught us that it’s very important to breed the younger stallions, all of whom had to have done well in their performance tests, so that they have a good number of foals to judge for final approval status. I remember Yvonne did videos where she took some 3-year old mares for the IBOP tests to help their younger sire’s ratings. All in all, Yvonne & Rein have done an excellent job in selecting sires for Stal G mares. The 3 Kroons, multiple Ster & Sport predicates that I’ve seen since I joined the world-wide herd 3 years ago are proof of that! Here’s hoping for some excellent matches and continued great keuring results in the future at both Stal G & Stal H! ❤❤❤

The handlers were watching the horse’s hooves very closely while putting them through their paces! Imagine getting stepped on by one of those majestic stallions in a fast trot around the ring!?! 😬 🫣Ouch! 😩‼️
… and the handlers appear to be all wearing sneakers!!! 😧. They should have steel toed boots on instead! 🥾😝
@Sarah Wheeler ever tried running in steel toe boots? And those aren't good for that kind of injury. Look it up crush injuries would sever the toes.

I cant decide upon a favorite! They are all so beautiful! It gives me much joy to see Yvonne going to this and other shows! I've learned so much about Friesian Horses from her and the rest of the good people at Stal G and now Stal H is so much fun to observe in it's modest beginnings!
Fonger is such a magnificent stallion. I remember looking forward to seeing Uniek's foal by him. And great to see Wolter, also, and Jurre again.

How could you choose? They're all gorgeous & they know it, showing off for the crowd. If I had to pick it would be the second stallion & of course the 5 time Champion. I think I recognized a couple names being connected to "our" mares. Geertje's nephew did a magnificent job riding in the show, congratulations!

Goodness! So many marvelous stallions, wonderful to watch them display their agility in the arena! I can see why Jurre 495 is the 5x champion stud; his exceptionally balanced form, lustre, and character! Geertje should be proud, Jacob's riding was spectacular! Eise 489, Wolter, Waander, Alger, and Rommert are show-stoppers of movement and beauty! Heilke 530 reminds me of Queen Uniek - I am not sure why; a combination of calm confidence, the carriage of his head, and magestic proportions. It is tough to choose favorites, but if pressed I would say all the stallions from Stal Kadyk and Stal Chardon. Hildwin really captures the attention with his proportions, fluid gait, lustre, and gentle personality (I remember him from your Stal tour)! Are Bartelle 472 and his son Teun 505 related to either Reintje, or Saly? I would love to see the offspring of these beauties! This was fun to watch, thank you Yvonne and team for educating us. Uniek and Hielke are related. Jurre’s sire is Maurits 437 whose sire is Ulbert 390. Uniek’s sire is Ulbert 390 as well which makes Hielke Uniek’s great nephew. All family.

@@TheGarnetObsidian: Looking at the pedigrees, Bartele’s grandfather is Tsjerk 328 and one of his sons is Andries 415 who is Saly’s grandfather.
It also looks like that Bartele’s great-grandfather is Hearke 254 who is also Reintje’s great-grandfather. So yeah, he and Teun are both related to Saly and Reintje.

All the stallions are beautiful, Waander 512 is Frieda's brother( same (sire) father Loadewyk 431) dances like a sweet boy he is. Alger 522 is also sweet boy, very delicate movements. Herre 524 is Jildou's brother (Nane 492) Jorke is Lianne's & Hester's brother (same Sire Menne 496). Hielke 530, Jacobien's brother (Same Sire Jurre 495). WOLTER 513 sire of Wouter Rein and Wimmie. And also seen Lianne and Hester's sire MENNE 496 and Jurre the CHAMP

The Stallion that Geertji’s nephew was riding is my favorite.
I like the presentations with the long reins most: no saddles, no bits, just the horse at it's best and most beautiful! ❣😍
They still have bits and the reins are attached to the bridle. It craves just as much training so the horse doesn't spook from the ropes and having a person running behind them, where they're unable to see well.

@@LeidolfLadyFair, lol. I just have a more negative association with it, as I tried it once (with a riding school teacher), and the pony spooked a little. She's my favorite pony so I was a bit sad. But she wasn't feeling her best at that period either.
Totally in agreement..... The horse has a more complete freedom of movement, the Handler, I believe, less stress!( But what would I know? Lol!)

I had to look twice on Fryso, I thought maybe a warmblood dressage horse had gotten mixed in, I thought he looked quite similar, except for the high neck. Lighter build than the rest. Good that they show variety, and also necessary.

All stunning Friesians! The last Friesian 5 times is the favorite. His moves , conformation and over all look of eagles is the one! Thank you for not putting anymore music in. Listening to the announcer was good. Very happy you could be at the Friesian horse show.

This was so beautiful to watch! The boys are all so handsome. I did recognize many of the names of their sires, very proud of myself for paying such close attention to the videos. I was scared for some of the handlers, expected a few of them to go flying over the wall! That’s a dangerous job!

Oh my, I got goosebumbs all over the video QQ ❤ I can't help myself, but whoever from Nane have the perfect bodybuild and are really "I'm the snining star!", whoever from Onne (376) have really so much energy and whoever from Jurre 495 (or I think it's from Jurre side) have soooooo long mane/tail 😍Also Haike 482 must be interesting stallion too - his foals are really tall, with good lenght of their mane/tail and also are really energetic! 😄
And yess! Lot of known names were here seen - minimally Rommert, Hilke, Jurre, Nane (obvious) are somehow connected to the mares from Stal G! Lovely to see their offsprings and some of them ❤ Thank you Yvonne & Oda for such an amazing show video 😍

I'm always curious about the young men who trot the horses around the arena. They must be really fit to be able to keep pace and watch where they're going!
What a gorgeous stallions!❤ I was wondering, but you explained it in the video: the owner can choose how they show their stallion. I really like the presentation with the longer “line”.. for me that looks more natural somehow (than the handler running right next to the horse… ).. they all look great!❤

They're so beautiful and talented. It would be hard to choose! They bring to mind Alex Ramsey's Black Stallion statue of Bucephalus, mane and tail flowing and blacker than coal. Glad you were able to go and feel good!!

@@lauralauren6432 I see. Well, you can tell that I have a great deal to learn! Now that you’ve said that, it reminds me of another lady that I follow. She owns 3 horses one being an Arabian. After many years he is still frightened, or at least very wary, of white things.
@@LeidolfLady Hey. You are not debating a noviser. I have had dressagehorses 30 years. I know the difference between exitement/Tension and good normal movement. You cannot ride them like this every day. The need relaxation to be awesome. Watch when Yvonne compete with Reintje. They were not on Any higher level. NO Flying changes or Any level over medium. It is OK. Reintje is a breeding mare and a Frieser. A traditional horse breed for Driving, but have been breeded to be a little lighter model for riding. They have many Great qualities. Its Psyche is one. Ther are not many Grand Prix Horses for a reason. Its Hard and every horse dont have The capability and they are not better than their rider. Its as Any sport. Very few becomes Stars. Its difficult. Thats why The best riders are Older. They learn from Each horse.
